I love how long after his hype died... and all the hate and noise over him died way down... he's still just committed to shredding and being true to the craft.

It's really sad that people were hating him, but the world in general is envious... he was always a very gnarly skateboarder,with a very authentic style though.

He's a Nyjah, at best. Simple tricks done over and over, no real innovation, spent decades trying to make those tricks perfect looking (and Nyjah in half the time has a way cleaner style). Ryan still looks messy.
Don't get me wrong, I rate the bloke. Followed him as a fan from when I was 16 (and I'm 34). He shreds. But he ain't no GOAT. Not even in the conversation. He's f@#king sick. But he's far from the best.
He's definitely one of the bravest. Insane commitment.
Eh depends on what we're talking about. As far as just skateboarding skill. He's good but i wouldn't say one of the best to ever do it. He came from the same Era as P rod and Jerry Hsu compared to skaters like that he's nothing too special. But if we're talking cultural impact he's up there. Won tons of competitions, had a successful tv show, brought skating more into the mainstream. Like a better Bam Margera
It's subjective of course but I would say Luan Oliveira is the best at style/flip tricks. Shane O'Neill is up there too.

And the cleanest falls. Knows how to bite it without taking maximum damage.

Man, I miss Sheckler Sessions. Just want a season 5 where they get the crew back together. Skate 4 has been announced, if Sheckler Sessions season 5 is announced too maybe 2020 won't be so bad.

Benjamin Compson most towns have a spoiled skater who has a bag of ten tricks they can always do , sheckler is a great skater but I have much more respect for someone creative.

Ryan Sheckler is the best skateboarder of all time. I was watching videos of him 10 years ago as a kid kick flipping off fuckimg buildings. When he was a kid he accomplished more than most pro skaters. Legend

raw files really show how insanely skilled these guys are. The grace of the falls, how quick these insane tricks come together. The way they learn between mistakes and bounce up miraculously between bails. Some of these tricks were first or second try!! that's absolutely wild. Kudos to Shecks!
