It's worth remembering that Bob Wallace was instrumental in getting the now legendary Valentino Balboni his road test job. And the Lamborghinis of the era are all the better for his work. But much admiration and thanks go also to Bob Wallace.

This must be a very rare documentary putting the legendary Bob Wallace on show. I always read or heard that he usually kept very much to himself and got on with the job. So this is a treat ! Sad to think that he left Lamborghini because the man refused to consider developing any form of racing car, fact that didn’t stop Bob Wallace working on the Miura Jota (alas distroyed in an accident), a boosted Jarama and the same for a Urraco on steroids. As we all know history has changed all this and the present Hurracans GT3 Evo and forthcoming Hypercar 63 would have been a great turn of the wheel for Bob Wallace had he lived to see it.

"...looking back on it we must have been stark raving mad." And brilliant. What an incredible series of cars developed by engineers still in their 20s.
