As someone who mostly plays between 3.3-8.7 Yeah… 6.7-8.0 is a real mess, I play it cause I can run around in the Italian meme machines But 6.0 down is generally pretty balanced and fun, Germany gets a lot of stuff that should be higher (panther has a better armor layout and a better gun then the Tiger 1 and gets the same Br, as an example) But generally things are more fair, armor actually exists for the most part, and brawling actually happens alot and can be alot of fun Top tier is a pain because, although you have a ton of armor, with how small some of the maps are, games last 2 min and if you spawn more then twice you’ll just be throwing away your SL because of the stupidly high repair costs and how little you still make when you lose The Grind wouldn’t be as bad if they didn’t punish dying so much I get that they want to provide an SL sink, but stupid repair costs isn’t how you do it

I think the funniest thing early on with the M1 was that any ammo that was detonated in the bustle without killing the tank counted as spent ammo so players had to pay for the lost ammo and people were griefing them by detonating their bustle racks before killing them when they got the chance.
Are you kidding me? The abrams was Meta for like a year and then the 2A6 was dominant until the T-80BVM. Soviets were OP for 1 patch with the T-72B3M (then 2A6 whooped it’s ass) and then once the MiG-27K came out. NATO has had more time on top than the Soviets overall.
I remember most of the community though that it would be the t64b that was going to dominate. And then i remember a personal experience from that time i remember being really annoyed that Germany got a prototype Leo 2 instead of a production model like a Leo 2a1. I did get over it and the fact that the 2k was really good as well.
And not only did the get a prototype Leo 2 they got that prototype at 8.7 where it was curbstomping the shit out of everything and it's upper glacis was trolly as fuck

I was still on the MBT-70 when the Abrams dropped, I remember our teams getting our shit pushed in constantly by T-64s and Leo 2ks. Any memory of it being an OP tank doesn't exist. Edit: I also enjoy seeing that 105 go through the side of a T-72 TURMST with no problems as my Challenger 2 struggles to do it with a 120.
MBT-7-0 should go back to 9.0 and XM-803 to either 9.0 or 8.7. Both XM-1s are better than both of them but yet the XM-1(GM) is 9.3 and the CHrysler is 9.0 which is dumb. miss the old days when thermals wasn't a thing either. oh XM-1s should get their smoke launchers too.

Personally Im all for having an Abrams with TUSK, because one, its just ERA armor for the Abrams and two, it would allow more people to learn about the TUSK system overall which alot of people genuinely dont know about

spookston i spoke to someone a while back , you know why you have people ramming you? they dont even see you and its rendering issue depending on pc , graphical card , ram , when you load into match not all tanks will render at once , thats why you see a lot people ramming you/other players , even knocking over. this been problem in WT since longer while and suprised you dont know this. i used to have that problem too but sometimes , friend i played with had it like 50% of the time

It is very heavily artificially nerfed and it's ammunition is shit. It is literally using 8.7 ammo and is expected to use it at 9.3-10.3 BR.

To be fair with that heli shot, you wouldve had better effect with the HESH round on your bar. Remember APFS-DS shells poke tiny holes in vehicles at high speeds and helicopters are very thing so theres little spalling. HESH however wouldve turned that helicopter inside out lol

Unless you directly hit the engines, cooling systems, etc, youre pretty much not going to do anything. Love the unloved play the XP 55 it can turn at 11 g's and outperforms a mustang in many ways so many people sleep on it it is one of my favorite aircraft in the entire game
And side note it's 20 mils if you get good at aiming them properly and sniping with them you can literally obliterate people with a single shot it murks bombers and big winged planes and can dive at over 700 kilometers

I grinded the M1 the patch it debut and the t64B was the counter-part they added and back then M774 was really really good. Back then nothing could touch it lol. Good times.. Then on the 4 day I got a talisman for it in a battle trophy.... The rest is history.

Can you consider playing T-72B (1989)? Was pretty good before going to 10.0 without thermals. Can occasionally slap in full downtier. No one plays it because its foldered.
It'd be fun to see you play the 40mm doom-gun A.K.A the CV90. Ether the 9040B or C or even the BILL (Or the AA version). I hear it's been nerfed a lot and underperforms compared to other IFVs at its rank so I'd love to see you play it again with the doom music in the background lol.
You should do a few videos like this where you take out a vehicle that was really OP when it first came out and see if it's still good (Strf 9040b, Dardo, Type 87 RCV)

I notice funny thing - on spawn there's often one player who tries to aggressively undercut you or someone from right lane to left and when he collides with someone, he's like "okay I'll go straight now i guess".
I actually quite enjoy the M1 at 10.0. The US 10.0 lineup is quite strong, what now with the AGS buff/nerf and the CCVL both being at the same tier. But I also miss the days of the 10.3 IPM1 (and now the 10.3 M1A1), 10.3 is also pretty strong but not as good as it used to be.
i still remember when abrams was first added. they would completely bum rush the entire team and were so survivable they were practically on god mode. atgms would detonate on the sideskirts and then non pen the hull. basically anything not apfsds was very hard to kill them with, even with apfsds the weakspots were pretty small
Not to mention that now M1A1 is the worst 10.7 tank in the US lineup -M1A1 HC: Better armor -IPM1: Faster reload -M1A1 AIM: Better armor, slightly worse APFSDS Why even use M1A1 in the first place?
the M1 Abrams is very good at 10.0 now, most of the games will be 10.0 or 9.7 due to premium vehicles like the T72-AV(TURMS) and the Leopard 2 (PzBtl 123).
I remember back when the M1 was first introduced, and I had to deal with teams of American and Soviet tanks that just bull rushed my teams because they knew nothing could touch them.

@@dovahkiin3526 yeah I agree it is, my only recommendation at the moment if you play top tier try and play in places where tanks without ERA tend to go and take capture points when you can, oh and help allies repair when you can and remember taking out wheels doesn't count but they didn't say anything about tracks so I believe if you break a track you can get an assist and most tanks have no defense in the rear so maybe try a sneakier play style to try and get behind players. Things like turning off engine and just hiding in bushes or in shadows can work if they aren't using thermals.
And today, you can pair it up with stuff such as the LAV-AD, XM975, A-10A Early, F-4C, Stryker, AGS, and CCVL. Might as well even throw the M60 AMBT in there for the sake of having another MBT
The xm975 is 10.3 now. So they killed the 10.0 lineup because now it can't do shit against op helis like the chinease bullshit copter and the og bullshit machine ka50

when i watch gameplay of top tier there are two things i notice: 1) it looks extremely point and click, minimal skill involved. 2) whenever you do something like bring a sturmpanzer, pakwagon or horo it makes both teams irrationally angry and the match becomes a salt mine

My experience flying helps in war thunder is completely different to what everybody else goes through. Im a treetop level pilot and I am a first spawn helicopter player. I main the AH-1G at 8.0 and I get annihilated pretty regularly
There’s one thing about Warthunder everyone whose been playing for more than 4 years can agree on, we do not like to think back to when the T10M and leopard were 300K exp to get because it makes me cry thinking about how much time I invested just to get them compared to how big the tech trees have gotten
As a Leclerc enjoyer it’s not very surprising that killed him, fuel explosions are most of my deaths and the Leclercs aren’t that armored where you hit him in the lower front plate area. Love the videos

I loved war thunder at one time I recently played WOT with some friends and had a lot of fun I have nearly every nation grinded out in war thunder but it’s not fun with all the CAS now when I play a tank game I want to fight tanks not planes I’ve switched to playing WOT just because of CAS
I played WoT for a long time from 2008-2013 I think it was, got tired of that game and all the nonsense Wargaming was doing so I left for Armored Warfare played that for about 3 years then found Warthunder in 2017 been playing it ever since. So I've gone in reverse of you, but agree with you about CAS. I don't mind that CAS is in the game there's just to much of it I would love to see Gaijin do something like make killing planes in Ground matches double the points or something to encourage players to clear the skies and gain air superiority. But then one side filled with players would suffer a lot lol. So many things in Warthunder need changed or fixed.

To be fair with that heli shot, you wouldve had better effect with the HESH round on your bar. Remember APFS-DS shells poke tiny holes in vehicles at high speeds and helicopters are very thing so theres little spalling. HESH however wouldve turned that helicopter inside out lol

@@csorbalaszlo1920 thats not entirely true. The Apache for example, from the main rotor, back to the tail, is essentially empty hollow space. Unless you directly hit the engines, cooling systems, etc, youre pretty much not going to do anything. In fact a lot of Cobra attack helicopters have survived a lot of small arms fire to the fuselage, because of the empty space

105mm does not seem small to me. Having worked on commercial helicopters before, while it may be empty space, that helicopter would be hurting if it got struck with a dart going 1000m/s
Love the unloved play the XP 55 it can turn at 11 g's and outperforms a mustang in many ways so many people sleep on it it is one of my favorite aircraft in the entire game
And side note it's 20 mils if you get good at aiming them properly and sniping with them you can literally obliterate people with a single shot it murks bombers and big winged planes and can dive at over 700 kilometers

I grinded the M1 the patch it debut and the t64B was the counter-part they added and back then M774 was really really good. Back then nothing could touch it lol. Good times.. Then on the 4 day I got a talisman for it in a battle trophy.... The rest is history.

Can you consider playing T-72B (1989)? Was pretty good before going to 10.0 without thermals. Can occasionally slap in full downtier. No one plays it because its foldered.
It'd be fun to see you play the 40mm doom-gun A.K.A the CV90. Ether the 9040B or C or even the BILL (Or the AA version). I hear it's been nerfed a lot and underperforms compared to other IFVs at its rank so I'd love to see you play it again with the doom music in the background lol.

I notice funny thing - on spawn there's often one player who tries to aggressively undercut you or someone from right lane to left and when he collides with someone, he's like "okay I'll go straight now i guess".
I actually quite enjoy the M1 at 10.0. The US 10.0 lineup is quite strong, what now with the AGS buff/nerf and the CCVL both being at the same tier. But I also miss the days of the 10.3 IPM1 (and now the 10.3 M1A1), 10.3 is also pretty strong but not as good as it used to be.

i still remember when abrams was first added. they would completely bum rush the entire team and were so survivable they were practically on god mode. atgms would detonate on the sideskirts and then non pen the hull. basically anything not apfsds was very hard to kill them with, even with apfsds the weakspots were pretty small
The worst thing was the M1a1 getting put to 10.7 . Now theres too many 10.7s to the point that its useless/pointless to use.
Not to mention that now M1A1 is the worst 10.7 tank in the US lineup

the M1 Abrams is very good at 10.0 now, most of the games will be 10.0 or 9.7 due to premium vehicles like the T72-AV(TURMS) and the Leopard 2 (PzBtl 123).

Just yesterday got my Leo 2A6 and against russian MBTs that ale covered head to toe in ERA i can't do anything, and since breaking the barrels or tracks doesn't constitute to earning assists getting that 25k rp for stock dart is really painful
Breaking barrels and tracks definitely does count for assists. That's exactly how I do my HEATFS stock grind
@@dovahkiin3526 With the latest update :Drone Age: they changed what is consider serious damage, now Wheels, Optics and partial damage to Barrel and Breach do not count towards getting assist. So that's probably what Konrad is referencing.

@@dovahkiin3526 yeah I agree it is, my only recommendation at the moment if you play top tier try and play in places where tanks without ERA tend to go and take capture points when you can, oh and help allies repair when you can and remember taking out wheels doesn't count but they didn't say anything about tracks so I believe if you break a track you can get an assist and most tanks have no defense in the rear so maybe try a sneakier play style to try and get behind players. Things like turning off engine and just hiding in bushes or in shadows can work if they aren't using thermals.

1) it looks extremely point and click, minimal skill involved.

My experience flying helps in war thunder is completely different to what everybody else goes through. Im a treetop level pilot and I am a first spawn helicopter player. I main the AH-1G at 8.0 and I get annihilated pretty regularly

I find it really hard to have fun in top tier, I like the tanks it’s just as soon as you kill any one you get drone strikes or some one in a helicopter screws you with AT missiles

I loved war thunder at one time I recently played WOT with some friends and had a lot of fun I have nearly every nation grinded out in war thunder but it’s not fun with all the CAS now when I play a tank game I want to fight tanks not planes I’ve switched to playing WOT just because of CAS
I played WoT for a long time from 2008-2013 I think it was, got tired of that game and all the nonsense Wargaming was doing so I left for Armored Warfare played that for about 3 years then found Warthunder in 2017 been playing it ever since. So I've gone in reverse of you, but agree with you about CAS. I don't mind that CAS is in the game there's just to much of it I would love to see Gaijin do something like make killing planes in Ground matches double the points or something to encourage players to clear the skies and gain air superiority. But then one side filled with players would suffer a lot lol. So many things in Warthunder need changed or fixed.
