  • Continental valve rotator test. This valve was severely burned. I performed this test as part of my cylinder autopsy. The rotator is clearly working.

      @@Noturmoney many A&Ps don't know what Dave just explained. What we need are more knowledgable mechanics about GA Piston engines or we need to be moving to a new platform.

    Trying to remove a rotator cap from a lycoming jug but it’s different than the continental. Any tips on removing the little cap without damaging it?

      The little cap usually comes off with a magnet. It just sits on top of the valve stem.
