- In today's video I have picked up a couple of Greggs Magic Bags from the Too Good To Go app - and we have a very special guest reviewer, my 10 year old!!
She doesn't often like to be on camera, but with the chance for some yummy treats, she is more than happy to be reviewing these bags!!
It's been a couple of months since I picked up some Greggs bags, but they rarely disappoint!!

It's been a little while since I picked up Greggs Magic Bags from the Too Good To Go app - do you think these were good value ones?
And which of the items I got would you most like to eat?
The cheese and onion bake sounds good and the tandoori baguette would be my fave.
Both were good (well the kids split the tandoori chicken one and told me it was good 🙂)

Too be fair Littlest Greeno has great taste in choosing her video debut. Very able assistant to boot too. Those magic bags are a great idea too, so many could be given out to homeless/rough sleepers aswell.
She appreared in a couple right at the start of the channel, but not for a good while... I think that she just thought she would get first dibs on the goodies if she was with me! I have heard that in the bigger towns people do indeed secure these bags and hand them out, which is a great idea!!

The rapport between you two is adorable. This video highlighted the pitfalls of TGTG for me. If I got a load of curried stuff (I know you only got the curried baguette and everything else was not), I would not be able to eat it and it would ultimately be a waste. I saw a TGTG video from Deano a few days ago, where he got a bag full of vegan sandwiches and other vegan things and he was not a happy boy, but cruelly it was fun to watch.
Yeah I saw that video with Deano, bless him! But that’s the luck of the TGTG draw. Like you say, it’s not for everyone , especially if you have any specific likes, dislikes or sensitivities.

I'm a yank who spent about 3 weeks in Sheffield many years ago. Let's just say maybe I spent time at the Devonshire cat, maybe read some Tolkien. Maybe had some pipe weed.

Americans are one of the few folk around the world who I think can get behind British food. It’s like “you wanna fry stuff, or put it in pastry, I can dig that”. Don’t think about how the food comes about, just enjoy the taste!

Wow I'm so glad you got a good deal , we got a too good to go from our local greggs in Wigan , all we got was 4 doughnuts and two cookies I would never recomend greggs and after our dissapintment will not use Greg's again,,, too good to go have still not responded to our complaint ,,,,,,,,, pound bakery is much better value ,,,Give it a try
I've never had a bad bag from Greggs, albeit some have been better than others. What a shame you had a bad result. Sadly the Pound Bakery doesn't get any further south than Birmingham, and I can't drive all that way from Dorset to pick one up haha!!

It was a good haul pal yes. As for Little’un having a channel, it would only be about gymnastics and squishies (actually that would probably get 10 times more views than my channel does!)… and as for rioting, that’s what I felt like doing at halftime tonight. Luckily Iraola turned it around so we could go home happy 😀

you do not need anything in that bag there is some mushrooms in the fridge for you.
1st bag may not be that good from the outlet.
the ham bun £1.40 80p each slices. 30p donut. and about the same as cookie. in the outlet shop.
the is no tgtg bags from outlet stores as they are low price but still make profit to pay staff and shop.
there is really not that much inside the buns.
next video pepper eating all the cakes.
I don't live near the outlet though ha ha. I was pleased with the value I got from these bags (as we're the kids 🙂) I am gonna tell little'un about the Peppa Pig joke, that's a good one 🤣

Would never risk the Too Good .. bags after the poor show from Starbucks in Pevensey Bay. It resembled the scrapings from their bin, a selection of crumbs, scraps and general crap.
Your experience sounds terrible, but not all places are like that. Greggs won't let you down 🙂 Give it another chance
On the whole TGTG bags are generally ok, but I have had crap experiences before too, like you with Starbucks. In fairness to TGTG, they refunded me immediately following my complaint. I would definitely give them another go, just probably not Starbucks…!

Corned beef bakes are way tastier than those cheese/beans/sausage bake things! The last sausage bake I had was just full of beans with two tiny bits of sausage! 😅 didn't get any cheese! They're terrible compared to all the other bakes/slices they do but I suppose kids will prefer them.
I'm with you on that, more than happy for little'un to take the sausage and bean one while I snaffled the cheese and onion!!

Can you explain all about magic bags, I've never heard of them before, living in deepest, darkest countryside. What's this about an app?
They are from an app called "Too Good To Go" - which is all about saving food waste. Businesses at the end of their day, or serving period advertise left over food, and you can buy at a discounted rate... it's well worth checking out!
@@GreenoEats Wow, I had no idea about the app or that magic bags were a thing. Looks like my nearest Costa, Starbucks and supermarkets have been doing these for a while.
@@jhoneyb yeah, almost all branches of Costa and Starbucks do them, along with several other chains (Toby, Greggs, Harvester for example) Normally some interesting local businesses too. It worth trying some out to see what you can get 😀
Could you freeze any of these? Great value, but a waste if you cannot eat, or use them all.
Certainly the pastry items could be frozen and reheated later. Probably not with the sandwiches and cakes. But here we are a family of 4 and kids who will hoover up anything sweet. Nothing was wasted 😀

Up where i live if you order two magic bags you end up with about 20 strange looking mushrooms..

How do you book one of these bags
Download the Too Good To Go app on your phone, input your details and it will show all of the available bags in your area, and the collection windows. You then just select one you'd like to get, and turn up during that window with your phone to show the booking to the store - remarkably simple process.
When ordering these do you pay on the app or in store looks like good stuff well worth it
You pay on the app. I guess they keep some of the funds as a processing fee. I've had mostly good results with it, although a couple of stinkers too.
You cannot get a Greggs TGTG bag up here for love nor money. They sell out before anything can get to the app. I miss the south…!

Hi Barry. They are available on an app called “Too Good To Go”… download that and it will tell you all of the outlets offering bags in your area. It is well worth doing!
