What an adorable idea! And so many ways to customize this 😍 When I’m pregnant or post-partum I can raise the waist/seam line higher to make an empire waist to hide the belly. I can use this with long sleeve tops or use a longer circle skirt pattern to make it a dress. I can pretty much make any top into a peplum with this idea.
I’m a beginner at sewing (I actually hand sew everything for now) and simple videos like this really inspire me without overwhelming me. Thank you for the video, you shirt is SO cute ❤️

Wow this is brilliant!! I realize your theme was all material from Dollar Tree, but buying some lace trim at a fabric store or even Walmart would make this an even more thrifty addition to your wardrobe!! You could do this with a tank top too ? Yes? 👍 good job!

On knits use the zig zag stitch. It will stretch with your fabric. A walking foot also makes it easier to sew lace on. Very cute shirt.

A really great idea! The top is super cute ☺️ Just a tip when sewing, remove the pins as you come to them, try not to sew over them, as it can not only break a needle but if you hit it hard enough it can mess up your machine 🙂 x

you did a really nice job girl. 2 thumbs up. 2 bits of advice from a long time sewer. Try to avoid sewing over pins. It may mess with your needle and timing. Also invest in a good pair of scissors and only cut fabric with them. Really nice job you did...

I love to see people wanting to sew. I have been sewing for many years. And before I started my mom made 80% of our clothes. You did a good job, congratulations. My question is did you try on your top before applying the lace? The contrasting color & width adds a lot of volume. But if you like it good for you. Keep sewing, it is do much fun.
