Just seeing this post 4 years later but I love everything peplum. You inspired me.. ❤❤❤
Wow pretty good job for real can't wait to see what else you make see you
What a darling top! Thanks for sharing!
What an adorable idea! And so many ways to customize this 😍 When I’m pregnant or post-partum I can raise the waist/seam line higher to make an empire waist to hide the belly. I can use this with long sleeve tops or use a longer circle skirt pattern to make it a dress. I can pretty much make any top into a peplum with this idea.
I’m a beginner at sewing (I actually hand sew everything for now) and simple videos like this really inspire me without overwhelming me. Thank you for the video, you shirt is SO cute ❤️
Thank you so much! It was such a fun project!
Very, very unique you are really creative!!!!!!!!!!
So cute! You look great in it too.
Super cool! This is soooo adorable!
Wow this is brilliant!! I realize your theme was all material from Dollar Tree, but buying some lace trim at a fabric store or even Walmart would make this an even more thrifty addition to your wardrobe!! You could do this with a tank top too ? Yes? 👍 good job!
On knits use the zig zag stitch. It will stretch with your fabric. A walking foot also makes it easier to sew lace on. Very cute shirt.
You have a great creative mind. I think it's beautiful.
Thank you!
Really enjoyed your tutorial. Your voice is very, and your directions are very clearly.
Thank you very much!
So cute! Nicely done!
The top looks super cute!
This is such a gorgeous project 😍 I cannot believe these are dollar store supplies, it's so creative!
Thank you so much! Those lace headbands had been calling my name for awhile! I'm glad I was able to incorporate them into a project!
So creative, I think wearing a belt (similar color to the lace) on the waist would make it look even prettier
Thank you! I love the belt idea!
Great job !!! I've been sewing since I was 12 years old and I wouldn't have known you were a beginner if you have not told us.
Awww!!! Really?!?! That is such a compliment!
I do love your top and have to run down to the dollar store and make myself one and you look great on your weight loss
So cute! Great DIY tutorial :)
Very creative and pretty.
Simple and cute I will try it out soon thank dear for share from Malaysia
A really great idea! The top is super cute ☺️ Just a tip when sewing, remove the pins as you come to them, try not to sew over them, as it can not only break a needle but if you hit it hard enough it can mess up your machine 🙂 x
Thank you so much for the tip!
How cute and i never would have thought of using the beautiful headbands for the lace. Good job.❤
This is awesome! You did such a good job!
So cute!! I’d pay full price for something like that!
Thank you!
Love it!!!! Super cute 😍😍😍
This is so amazing and is so so beautiful! I never would have thought of this using headbands, just brilliant Kieran! This looks so beautiful on you and the high low aspect is stunning! Thank you for sharing! ~ katz
you did a really nice job girl. 2 thumbs up. 2 bits of advice from a long time sewer. Try to avoid sewing over pins. It may mess with your needle and timing. Also invest in a good pair of scissors and only cut fabric with them. Really nice job you did...
I’m so impressed with your sewing skills! I’m such a novice. It’s very cute!
Thank you!!! My mom has been sewing since she was a girl and I have learned so much from her!
Super adorable!! TFS :)
Doesn't seem hard to do even if your not the sewing type & on a budget too. I think it's an awesome idea you look so cute 💖
So beautiful!
You did an awesome job!
Dang girl!! Cute! 👍❤️🙏
Oh my gosh that's adorable
Came out looking adorable!
This is so cute! I don't sew at all. But this sure makes me want to try. My grandma daughter would be so so cute in one of these.
I LOVE THIS IDEA AND IT LOOK'S SO BEAUTIFUL ON YOU. YOUR HAIR IS BEAUTIFUL IN THIS VIDEO TOO.
So clever , very cute and suits you so much , Very well done .
wow you did a fantastic job and your new shape looks fantastic. Loved this DIY
This is so cute!
That came out great! TFS sharing such a great DIY! It is so cute!
That is so great!
Cutest top ever Kieran!! What a great DIY. It makes me want to sew again~ Love it!! 💕 Joan 💕
Love what you did and you look really great in the top . So until next time God Bless you and your husband
I love this you could defiantly do a mini series with this and offer different ways of putting it together for people who can't sew xxx
Looks super cute!! You need sharper scissors :) Lace would probably be much cheaper at Joann Fabric or Hobby Lobby, tho, but if someone didn't have access to those stores, this is a clever solution.
The top turned out so cute, looks great on you!
You did a great job on this ! Love how you used the shirts and the head bands
Oh my gosh you did such a FANTASTIC job! That peplum shirt looks so cute on you! You’re looking great by the way, your hard work is definitely paying off.
Thank you so much!
So cute! I would buy that in a second! You are pretty creative 😊
I need to go to the thrift store like right meow to get shirts! I love this
This is so great! I actually thought about doing this with the DT shirts, but couldn't find the right tutorial. Definitely going to try this. The lace is also very clever.
That's awesome that you were able to recreate your own look
AWEWSOME Job !!!! Super cute top and you hair looks great !!!
that is really cute! I love the long peplum look!
Very cute. 👍
Super cute Kieren!! I’ve always been afraid to sew with knits and I don’t know why, lol. This turned out so well.
Thank you so much! Knits make me nervous too. I try to not pull on them too much and let them guide me!...lol (If that makes any sense!)
You look amazing !!! And that top is super cute
That is absolutely adorable!😊❤️👍🏼
Adorable totally loved how it came out
Adorable love it 😍 great job I need to get my sewing machine out & give it a try 👍🏼 TFS
It is awesome. You made it look so easy. Love it
What a fab DIY, looks fantastic!! My sister used to sew most of her dresses when she first started teaching because it was super budget friendly for her. Me? Nope, can't sew a straight line to save my life.
Lovely!
How cute is this! I'm not much for lace but this is just perfect on here. Job well done and I bet you get tons of compliments at work on it.
Thank you! Everyone LOVED it!
You did a fantastic job! It's adorable and so flattering. The lace probably would have been cheaper to just buy from a fabric store, for such a small amount!
Very clever.
Gorgeous! Good job and it is very flattering on you. tyfs
The top looks gorgeous!! I wish I were more handy with a sewing machine, or even with needle and thread!😁
Great job you should be very proud of yourself! 👏👏👍
The top looks great but I would echo what two other viewers said 1 a good pair of scissors just for cutting out and 2 remove the pins when sewing on your machine. We were always taught at school( many years ago!) to tack stitch things together first. Well done!( From the UK)
Really nice!
The top is cute. You're looking so good!
You are so smart that is beautiful! I love it!
SO talented!! This is absolutely beautiful!! 💕
What a fantastic idea!!!
Great job on the top! My Home Ec. teacher would give speeding tickets!
Thank you!!! Aww!!! Mine would, too!
Excellent 👍
Thanks for the video.
New subbie.
Really great job! The top looks great on you!
Super cute design. You look amazing.👍😀
New subbie! Love this idea...very creative to repurpose the headband.
So cute, love it! You did a great job
That is so cute!! I think I’m going to give it a try!!
Loved this tutorial. You did a really great job.
I love to see people wanting to sew. I have been sewing for many years. And before I started my mom made 80% of our clothes. You did a good job, congratulations. My question is did you try on your top before applying the lace? The contrasting color & width adds a lot of volume. But if you like it good for you. Keep sewing, it is do much fun.
Thank you! I did try it on with the lace! I think it adds and extra pretty touch!
New to your channel! But love it so far, I love thrifting/diying as well. This video was adorable, cant wait to make it myself! 🙂
It looks amazingly cute 😍 now i wanna do one for myself
Marvelous
Fantastic job .. turned out so cute
That is wonderful! I love it, thank you for sharing :)
So cute, wow. You may have started a trend. Maybe copy cat designers making t shirt peplum styles. I know where it came from, so proud of you, amazing job and so quick.
Awesome job! That is super cute!!
It is lovely on you.
So cute! I love it! I wish I could sew!
this is so cool! im definitely sharing this with my sister!
LOVE this,ty
That is awesome!! I love it!! I wish I would have paid attention when I was in school and they were teaching us to sew. I had no interest in it then. Great job!! TFS
This is so beautiful! Good job Kieren! :)
You need some good fabric shears, girl! FYI it would have been cheaper and more efficient to buy lace by-the-yard at a fabric store. Looks cute.
Even cheaper to buy the lace from Aliexpress!
I love it! It looks so GOOD on you! Go back to Dollar Tree and get some more colors and make some more!! Your hair looks really pretty too!
