Say what you will about Chris Addison, but this was one of his best moments on MTW- Insisting on reading the Headliners answer in German, and then bringing it back in 'If This is the Answer'. Plus, he even ropes Hugh Dennis into the accent party.

I have always thought the part that made this the most funny was the single woman laughing so perfectly right after he finishes and the crowd following after.

To be honest, if I got that right on the last try Chris says "orangefarbiche beschtechliche ergeiziger currywurst" which would translate to something like "orange-colored, corruptible, ambitious currywurst" and that is a wonderful description of a certain U.S. property-mogul.

That's not really a German accent. In fact he speaks German with a strong English accent.
As an Englishman I will never truly know what an English accent sounds like.
Yes it's something I found difficult to shake off with German, but when I'm in Bavaria I'm told I sound like I'm from NRW haha

I was referring to almost all Hollywood movies or TV series which deal with that period. Man in the high castle is a little bit different. And by the way...A.H. was not even german...😉

It is amazing you cant do a Indian accent , Jamican or African accent but you you can do a German, French and Italian accent. That does seem a bit perverse!.

The adjectives kept changing, but the last word was always 'currywurst'.
1. Oberschichtliche? berühmte? englische Currywurst: the first two words I'm not sure what he's saying but that what I understood means something like upper-classy famous English Currywurst
2. Offensichtliche beschämend egoistische Currywurst: obviously embarrassing egoistic Currywurst
3. Orangenfarbene bestechliche ehrgeizige Currywurst: orange corrupt ambitious Currywurst

@Pipe Tunes It's a curry flavoured sausage. Wurst means sausage. Like you have Bratwurst, Bierwurst etc...
The only thing worse than English spoken with a German accent is German spoken with a thick English accent. Believe me, it sounds really shit.
