I saw a Topper movie at a young age.
Very fond of the car style.
Long hood, powerfull engine, exposed headers out the side.
Convertible, boat tail roadster.
Seeing it now.
The tails exaggerated.
But, otherwise it's classic 30s streamlined art deco at it's best.
It's definitely not like the cookie cutters most folks settle for.
Most of us are not made of money.

Both Topper Movies and Topper TV Series are extremely fun. It's comedy at its finest. Mrs Topper an always delight. Miriam Kirby always naughty.

I love Roland Young so much, and I can't even explain why. I've seen him in a bunch of movies, but perhaps my favorite is The Man Who Could Work Miracles, where he gets superpowers and begins to play God. Hilarious! He does meek roles so well, but also had some hidden fires!
Then there's Young In Heart, where he and Billie Burke play a couple again. They are so cute and sweet together. That movie also has Janet Gaynor and Douglas Fairbanks Jr, and is equal parts funny and touching.

Back before TV, movie studios sometimes made movie series, like the Topper movies.
Billie burke was very well known and sought after when the great zeigfield convinced her to marry him. I believe they were quite happy there is s very good movie depicting their relationship. I forget the name of the movie. William Powell plays zeigfield. Must see!

The car was designed for the purpose of the movie. It didn't actually exist as a model. They also used several for the filming due to the crash scenes.
@@ericgraf1127 What an stupid comment. Safety matters to all but the most suicidal, if only to protect us from the other maniacs out there. Every accident has at least 1 person who made a mistake, and sometimes it was a tiny one, but those tiny mistakes kill 1000s of Americans every year! I loath today's cars, but only because they are hard to see out of, with rear visability eliminated. I can tolerate the fact they're not beautiful in exchange for ease of use, but the manufacturers give us neither.

I must have missed Geroge's (Cary Grant's) exit from the movie, or maybe it was cut out.
He comes and goes in the first five minutes.
He only did the first movie. They used clips from it in this one. Cary Grant either was doing another movie or didn't want play a ghost, can't remember which! 😂
