Honesty, it's not so scary... I watched it last year during day time because I don't watch horror movies... And to be truthful with you, it has a lot of suspenses and thrillers, but at the same time it's beautiful with perfect plots.... It's actually really good, I love it and it's underrated...

I cried heavily throughout a lot of this movie. I almost forgot it was supposed to be scary. It was hard to see it as s horror film. Instead, I more so saw it in relation to my life, after losing my child and how I would feel being those parents and seeing my baby girl standing in front of me 😢

Imagine screaming “I’m awake!!!” to yourself just so you don’t get attacked by a demon in your dream. The scariest thing that happened to me was that I was half asleep and half awake and I tried to move my arms and I couldn’t so I started panicking and I yelled HELP but then I rolled over and I was just laying on my arms 😂

Sometimes when i wake up by my alarm and i am still dreaming i see things that arent real like one time i saw an old man staring at me from the side of the room or a small thing runing around and finaly hiding behind my curtain.
.. you know that has a name for it.. sleep paralysis... I've experienced it a lot of times too ! It's scary!!
Similar thing happened to me recently.. but i moved and was aware i even tried to wake my roommate but the 'thing' still attacked me. The state between half asleep and awake is always scary for me
The distributor for this movie failed so they needed to distribute it another way, they gave it to Netflix, I saw this 2 years ago, it's an excellent movie

The scene when the son first appears to the parents sends me chills still to this day! Such a sad scary movie bcuz you become so sympathetic for the characters

Just watched this film and got a couple of side notes:
-actually a really cute horror film
-loved the plot twist
-sean was in a half full tub, he could have just stood up or even sat up, rather than drown
-the girl in Cody’s class was ridiculously tall next to him
- Jessie entered the asylum for kids with the door being left unlocked??
-Jessie Walked out of the asylum with Cody after everything and the social worker just let her
- what actually happened to mark? I don’t understand why Jessie left him with Sean who wasn’t even real, so where did he go? And why didn’t she bring him back when he was ready to let go of Sean and move forward with Cody
I agree! I kept scrolling through the comments to see if anyone has these same questions. And, what happened to the people who supposedly were taken by "cancer"? Did they really die? Can they come back if he asks cancer to get them back? How will his dreams situation evolve? Will he ever get regular dreamless sleep?
The ending was a little too hopeful, if you ask me.

Yes this movie is incredible. The concept is unique. It’s so different. Definitely worth watching. I don’t regret giving it a chance.

Ok so for those of you who have yet to watch this, don’t go into it expecting a horror movie. It isn’t. I just watched it and it was a very heartfelt family drama with some scary elements added in. This trailer was extremely misleading but the movie is still fantastic.

People have been asking what happened to Mark and why he didn't come back. It's pretty evident that Sean's death was not an accident. Add that to the fact that his wife accused him of killing him. Jessie doesn't think he deserves to come back but he shouldn't be alone since everyone else came back. Instead, she says, "he deserves a chance to be a dad" indicating that she wants him to try and make up for what he did even though he is now stuck in that 'Twilight Zone' ;).
