They are!! Sarah Dessen released that Netflix obtained the truth about forever as well! Also one of my first Sarah Dessen reads and favorites. My inner 18 year old is elated!
Was obsessed with this book when I was 12 and can’t wait for this adaptation. There are so many other great Sarah Dessen stories that deserve an adaptation too. Hope they do this justice.

This was my favorite book in high school, and Sarah Dessen remains one of my favorite authors, can't wait!
I always loved that in all the books of Sarah Dessen, she always made the character come back as cameos!
I love that, I remember wanting to be in Colby, the beaches the friendship. All those stuff, made it perfect, when I see the trailer I get a warm feeling in my belly, remembering all the feelings I felt while reading it, her books was a good escape! Came into a hole new world! I hope they make more movies of her books!!!
This is literally the book that got me into reading! So excited that it’s being made into a movie!
I loved it. And to be honest the dialogues felt wayy more realistic, than every other teenage movie.

One of my favorite first childhood romance books. I loved how it wasn't just loved stories it discussed family dynamics, trauma, friendships, and had characters with personality and depth. Also, I hope they reference Sarah Dessen’s easter eggs where she puts her main characters from other books in her main novel at the time.

I would love to see a series of SD movies taking place in/around Colby with the characters making their cameos like they do in the books. TBH you could easily make a limited series out of them.
OMG I was so shookt, this book is one of those that calmed me and me feel so comfortable and now it's a Netflix film! So excited for this!
I loved this movie!!! The main character was annoying at times but honestly she had every reason and right to behave the way she did. I like the message. Definitely recommend

Man, this was one of my favorite Sarah Dessen books that I've read. There's a tiny part of me that wants to reread the book before the movie releases, but I've also learned my lesson with The Sun Is Also A Star, so I won't be making that mistake again.

I first started reading Sarah Dessen back in 2000 and she was my fav author all through middle/high school. Can't wait to see this! The Truth About Forever and Dreamland are my favs to this day

I would be too. They tried to combine her books “That Summer” and “Someone Like You” into a movie called “How to Deal” back in 2002 and it was sooooo bad and disappointing.
I hope this one is better! I’ll be back in this comment section on Friday so we can all talk about our verdicts lol. I’ve been in love with her books since I was 11 in 2004 when I read “Dreamland,” I NEED HER BOOKS DONE JUSTICE
Too long and the kiss was lame. But it wasn't bad. Just... not hot enough.
Welp I watched it, back to review it. I’m gonna start with my criticisms first. It’s a sweet love story, however some of the characters were super cheesy. Kate Bosworth kinda overdid the “new step mom trying to be cool” trope. Like I expected her to be that role, but I feel like it was overdone. Some of the dialogue was cheesy, and some of the writing didn’t make sense and was unnecessary. Like everyone cheering at the first kiss? Teenagers saying the acronym “OMG” out loud? Like do some of these writers even know how teenagers act? I’m 29 and I know teenagers don’t do that lol.
Criticism time over. I still loved it. The cinematography and the soundtrack/score are absolutely BEAUTIFUL. I loved the shots they took, like the scene with the lights hitting Auden in the lighthouse? Gorgeous. The actor who played Eli deserves more roles in movies, he is actually a very talented actor and made the cheesy settings still feel very natural and casual. The love story is actually incredibly sweet and there were times in the movie that made me genuinely laugh out loud. The way they interpreted Auden’s character development was lovely, and the actress who played her did an incredible job of playing the awkward girl blossoming, I also hope to see her in more roles in the future.
All in all, this movie made me smile and feel all the warm feelings I get whenever I read Sarah Dessen. I will 10/10 watch again and I look forward to seeing the other adaptations

It took me a minute into the trailer to realize I read this book...I love Sarah Dessen! I'll be honest that Along for the Ride is probably one of the books of hers I liked the least (The Truth About Forever & Just Listen are my favourites, I'm obsessed) but I read almost all of her books in high school and she is a YA romance queen

I knew automatically that the trailer had to be a Sarah Dessert book! in high school the first book i read was This Lullaby the I started reading more. The Truth About Forever, Dreamland, Keeping The Moon, Just Listen.. I tried keeping up with all her books as I could. I sort of fell behind but her books do deserve adaptations! I've always wanted to see TTAF, JL, and KTM into movies. those would have to be my favorites.
