Everything Wrong with Living in Vinhomes Central Park

  • A follow up video to Living in Vinhomes Central Park.
I've been asked a lot of questions about how it is to live in Vinhomes, would I recommend it and the benefits. In my previous video, I outlined some of the good and bad points, in this video, I wanted to outline everything wrong with living here.
Vinhomes is hands down a great place to live, no doubt. However, there is just so much that, personally, I think is wrong and I think a lot of the people who live hear also think as well.

PREACH!!!!! Every word you said is FACT. I could write a book , the frustration every single day. Cracks in my walls, shower water is brown , can’t use the pool between 12-2 (the only time it’s sunny!!) a lifeguard wanted to fight me once because I moved a chair 5 inches at the pool! Security don’t really care about complaints, reception aren’t ever really warm, welcoming or helpful either .. lease is finished soon! I love Ho Chi Minh but I could not recommend Vinhomes less! Can not wait to move! Great video.

Luca Tedde , we are sorry that you had bad experienced with vinhome , definitely Vinhome got many problems recently , i suggest you should move to D7 because overthere , they have more high quality apartments , people are misunderstand that vinhome apartments are for the rich actually they are not , because those apartments only for normal people , so the quality is not that perfect and its not design for the rich with that prices .

I heard you man! This is not an isolated problem that you experienced at Vinhomes Central Park, it's rather a universal problem in Vietnam. Walking around major cities such Hanoi or Saigon, you will see broken sidewalks everywhere, this is because they were built with low quality and people willing to abuse them by riding their motobikes over them. Years ago, a Japanese man said Vietnamese people only care how it looks inside their homes but careless for any else outside where they live. It is so true. I find it difficult to understand and frustrated at the same time why Vietnamese people have such mentality. People feel free to throw whatever they feel like on the streets, knowing that the garbage collectors will pick them up at night while you sleep, leaving the streets full of trashes during day. How the F**K I can enjoy my surrounding? Sorry for the language, but I need to get it out of my chest. Go and take a look around Vincom Center A in downtown, it looks like people urinate around the building and nobody cares to clean it up for years.

Totally agree on all of this. Potholes on the road aren't very safe for driving. The fluidity of the walkways like you were saying are very random which takes away the purpose of the paths and instead add in frustration by having to look down at almost every step to avoid tripping over a random slope leading downwards. Finally, the security is lacking in some areas that require attention like traffic safety and instead they're standing at the parks like the immigration of an airport. one of the worst experiences is people crossing in front of the entrance to parking in the basement which is a major hazard for both the driver and resident, meanwhile the security literally just stands there. if they're going to put crosswalks, use them. thank you for this.

Many Vietnamese know these things, and many of us avoid to buy Vingroyup product. Many complains and negative news / reviews about Vingroup product have been posted then force to remove from online newspapers, social networks, media channels because of the pressure and power of Vingroup, as you can see, it's all about their dictatorial attitude. I hope this video will not be removed in the future.
About buying apartments: the first thing to avoid is to live in big residences with high population density. Vinhomes Central Park has 10.000 apartments, imagine you live among them, in the morning at least 20.000 people around you wake up, and go to work or take a pee at the same time it's a nightmare. Look at the internal roads, walking paths, they are all small compared to the scale of the residence. Luxury or high quality means to be low population density, exclusive and comportable, all sound not like Vinhomes central park.

You like first year in town :-) Vinhomes its just another cheap fast raised building to earn as much money as possible. So build quality is overall bad, buildings have cracks on outside walls even before it finished. So any rain will make walls wet from inside, with mold growing and so on. Im wondering if in 10 years it will still look suitable for living or it will turn to ghetto for backpackers.

My apartment was infested with baby cockroaches (about 20 per day) for at least 3 months, all reception did was suggeet to get fumingation again and again, no help. I have to live with tape covering the sockets in the wall to prevent them getting into my apartment.
I moved to vinhomes for peace, the swimming pool and the gym. There is no peace, the ceilings and walls are made of paper thin material I can hear every footstep and every conversation. The swimming pool is closed from 12-2 EVERYDAY (even though its 34 degrees) and finally the gym is a sauna not a gym. It is impossible to work out due to the high temperature and it is locked to this temperature so nobody can change it, not even reception. Absolutely no customer service here!!

  • @phuongtran5294

One word to describe it all "liability" . All of these issues continue to exit because there is no liability. In America, you can sue the owner or insurance company for a lot of money, if you fell and injured due to the improper maintenance. In Vietnam, who do you sue? And how much are you being compensated for, if any. The lack of liability led to negligence and short cut from builders to increase profits. Builders are not being punished to the full extend when something happen. Therefore, they do not care. I never purchased prebuilt house in VN even if I could. There is no strictly regulated building codes and inspections. I do not trust any builder there, unless you directly supervise to build your own home.

Someone who visited me mistakenly press the emergency button and it started to wail and then no one really respond to it. Why do they need this emergency button when no one really cares about it? Along with the aspects he mentioned in the video this is one example of a software(operating) issue. Having said that, it is fair to say Vietnam is still on the early stage of development and nothing can be perfect in its first baby step. They will eventually catch up though.

None of this comes as any surprise to me. Standards are just lower in Vietnam and you have to take the bad with the good, or leave. But I understand your point about Vinhomes modeling itself on Western living ideals. Unfortunately there seems to no incentive for big real estate companies to maintain a higher standard because there is less competition and government regulation. You would hope a general sense of pride would be enough to keep things from going straight to crap, but obviously not.

and it's much more easier for you guys , but don't come to Vietnam or another developing countries with the mindset , i want everything is perfect like US or UK , and you are only pay just around $ 500-1000 that is very cheap compare to western standard , if you pay around $5000-10000/month that's different story , $500-1000/month and you can not find any apartment like that in Us or UK have all the things like Vinhome , especially in Newyork Central park . Some guys never get the ideas before they come . for me very is stupid .

Vinhome is massively overrated in my opinion. Using it’s name to attract buyers to live in it and calling themselves successful is sort of strange tbh. And the design itself is an Eye Sore, like building giant luxurious skyscrapers next to a place where houses aren’t even taller than 2 stories just seems eccentric. And also Vingroup has a reputation for threatening to sue and silencing its customers, so thank you for actually saying something.
