@@RhettandClaire There was a guy teaching my kids English, mainly private lessons, in Saigon named George who was also from South Africa. And he was a big black African fellow who grew up mostly in Cape Town but he was born in Kenya and I suspect had a lot of Dutch speaking friends while growing up. He pronounced very strong R sounds like the Germans. My wife wants my kids to learn American English but I appreciate the various flavors of the language.

I do not like it. Does it built safe? Does it have a firestation sliding pole for quick fire escape? sprinkler system? A cheap battery powered lift? A moat or water cushioned landscape/flood gate??? Is it earthquake safe? Zoning adequate for demolition and rebuilding??
Lol you should stay where you’re at then. No place is 100% safe.
Your requirements of safety are met and more than that, Vietnamese construction company is one of rare company in the world can built the building more than 80 floors state of the art and some 120 floors buildings will be build in Hochiminh and Hanoi can be seen in comming years
Vingroup is top-down approach in what they do, not bottom-up like Chinese companies. They hire the most experienced international experts and adopt the most advanced technical standards available.
$800+ rent for a rather average place like this with practically no view, unless you like to stare at other tall buildings, is way too much. Unfortunately ignorant nomads living off of their parents Visa cards and tourists in general, think it's a great deal (one night for $40 is obviously ok), and they're raising prices artificially beyond where the market prices would have been otherwise. Too bad really, but then again ignorance is bliss...
Sean Sinclair hence why we’re not living in Vinhomes and chose a much cheaper area. Apartments in Vinhomes Central Park are very overpriced but so are all the apartments in New York City, and they don’t come with good views either. Some people are used to paying a fortune for less value. I’m not sure ignorance is the reason, perhaps just habit.
