SWG Legends JTL: New Pilot Tips

- NOTE: When shopping for ace grind packs use key words "leveling pack" in the bazaar search to find kits. The verbiage has changed in the years since I last had to grind up an ace pilot. Make sure to be in the SWG JTL channels on Discord for a wealth of valuable information. I was corrected within minutes about the ship part packs.
SWG JTL Combat and Crafting is one of the most fun and complex deep dives that the game has to offer. There is a sizable player base on the Legends SWG server to fight along side with and/or against. You can also completely ignore everyone and solo along happily in your own little bubble of the galaxy.
You'll discover that one avenue leads to the other. The cycle of loot, sort and sell repeats itself. Endlessly, you're churning out slightly better and better parts for reverse engineering projects until a pinnacle is achieved. Before long, the pinnacle is shattered and the loot wheel keeps on grinding. JTL is love, JTL is life. Enjoy!
Acquire the following
1. high mass variant starter ship (heavy tie, high mass scyk, high mass z-95)
2. pilot leveling ship part pack --- cert 1, 3, 5 and 7 (ask around about reverse engineered level 8 ship parts)
3. astromech/flight computer droid command leveling pack cert v1, v2, v3, v4 (ask around about PvE vs PvP v6 astromech/flight computer load outs)
Save an ITV location at Nym's Stronghold and/or use the Cantina ITV to go to Bespin to help shave down on loading screens.

Neutral Pilots get the kimogila and krayt for heavy hitting PvE. For PvP I prefer the Vaksai but a heavy scyk and naboo n1 can be fun as well. I liked RSF the most beacuse all the trainers were in one place.
Is the jedi starfighter worth having (in my opinion if it had higher mass it would be better and more worth having)
It is frowned upon in pvp to use. For pve i personally prefer more fire power. Though, it has a tiny hit box and alot of mass for 2 guns. It is fun to fly.
I'ma new player and I can't follow this at all.. Whats a computer? DOn't I need a Droid to do all this like in the movies? I hate space combat because the controls are to sensitive.. I can't tune it in right.. Also at what point should I do Space when those thing you bought cost so much?
How do you make money with the dropped Ship loot?
You can sell space loot to any chassis dealer located in nearly every starport in the galaxy. I go to kachiro. The npc is standing right there where you load in at. For all the other questions it is honestly best to get chummy with a space nerd in game. There are plenty of friendly ace pilots who are willing to show you the essentials. It's super daunting at first but, when you get the hang of it, you will be hooked.
Let alone getting the packages of parts
This is labeled as New pilots tips but a lot of it requires heavy credit investment. A new pilot won't have very deep pockets

Its a lot easier to collect junk and weapons and parts you dont need , the second yur new weapon's DPS is higher you can discard them and it'll add more to your credit banking, plus selling ship components, each will sell in the Thousands to ship dealers.
Just starting out the z-95 high mass variant is 300k to 1mil NOT HAPPENING
Can you go from being a freelance pilot to a Rebel pilot or are you locked into freelancing once you pick it?
No, there is an NPC that can reset your pilot career. Theyre in one of the starport cities on tatooine. Should be an easy wiki. Ive forgotten exactly who and where they are.

The population isn't that high so people will really milk the economy. Only bad thing about servers really.
How did you get soo much credits
Credits are easy to get in Legends. Simply doing your daily terminal missions on all five toons will get you 750,000 per day. My AFK grinder pulls in 1 million credits per day by itself.
how do you fast travel? WTH?
The instant travel vehicles? Yarrr, a must have!
Easy fix, don't play or fly on SWG Legends, you dreams of returning to SWG will be completely destroyed with some new sweeping policy change. I know, after being ripped off by a Legends Senator for billions in starship parts. Policy changes had my crafting account banned like over half the server population, I grew increasingly distressed by the lack of communication and concern by the Devs. I ended up Deleting a fully geared out Tie Defender, X Adv, two Gunboats before packing up everything, deleting toons, and have Legends ban my account by offering to place TRUMP propaganga on thier forums to be rid of the years wasted on this server.
