    Hey Rolando! I'm so sorry you had this problem my friend how frustrating 🤨 You are a true pioneer and very generous with your knowledge so don 't be too hard on your self. I really appreciate your videos and I'm sure the Fliteboard community does too 🙏🤟😎 Sorry I have been so quiet lately, I badly broke my wrist in August and had to have a plate and five screws put in it. So I haven't been on my Fliteboard since then. I am just about healed now so I will be back in the water soon but I am a little nervous. I have just moved to Tasmania and there are heaps of beautiful bays very close to where I live, however sometimes they are a little shallow so I am going to be extra careful. I really miss my Fliteboard and I am going to summon my courage and go back in the water real soon. Take care my friend. All the best from Tassie 🤟😃🌊

      Sorry to hear about your wrist mate… it was not easy for me with my knee either… still not good after from the surgery but I feel confident now…take your time and soon you will be “distressing” on your Flite. Yes… another mistake but make sure you will not do the same as me… take your time to get to know your new area and have fun. Speedy recovery mate

    Arg how frustrating, are there no channel markers in Florida where you went?
    I love the folding propeller, I had the tru glide and couldn’t catch waves that weren’t at least waist high, usually shoulder high.
    The folding propeller I went out choppy as conditions and got 31 waves in 40mins on the nano, tiny waves and still got over 100m on some waves. Without waves Ill prob get 12ish km on a nano battery, with waves that can be up to 18km, absolute game changer

      @Coach_Rolando  Před 7 měsíci

      Yes...specially for the fact that you are riding in the same area...Normally you dont use the power that much and you end up riding more on the waves them actually on power...glad that you are enjoying it.

    When I broke my board the mast box didn’t come out like in this video and when I finally got the box out it broke in to two pieces. It looks like Fliteboard used some type of expanding epoxy foam that expands into the fins in the mast box. I decided to just buy another board rather than to try and fix it.

      This is the second time it happen to me… again I can’t blame Flite … but I think the reason why mine came out clean was due to the fact of the speed and being very shallow … when I hit the button the nose touched the sand too… so I guess is the perfect combination to get the box out clean lol… not that I want to experience it again .., I just hog to be more carefully… but keep eye open for my next video… I had an idea …I’ll post soon

    Any bad experiences I had on an efoil were related to shallow water. I know go to deep areas regardless of tide.

    • @Coach_Rolando
      @Coach_Rolando  Před 6 měsíci +1

      Yes for sure that is the best way to go. Specially if you want to go fast… but there will be a day that you have to take off in a shallow area and if you don’t know that area well you might have problems …,so whenever I’m riding in a place I ring know .. I try now to go very slow until I realize that I’m in deep waters… then I crank it up lol

    Hey Coach, love what you offer us, great videos and insight from a fellow foiler. Can I just ask if the battery was cooked when the board filled with water? I think it would be a good idea to have some kind of seal plate where the cables pass through 🤔

      Please consider subscribing… more videos in the way… I was very conserved and scared about getting electrocuted in the water in both my incidents… but no… in either one there was a problem and in both case the board got fillet with ocean water and nothing happen … the battery worked perfectly… however I did clean both terminals extremely well cause of the salty water

    Been considering a foilboard but after weighing up the negatives like striking the bottom or causing severe injury to myself or others I’ve decided to stick with Surfskis and Sups.

      Hey bud...for each of their own...I understand you completely 100%...Let me just try to give you some advice and not trying to change your mind...but mainly clarify some things on positive and negative note...Im a water man nice I was 13 back in Brazil...I started with surfing...never had any issues with surfing...also did some hairy Bodysurf in big ocean swell and almost drown 2 times...Im also a whitewater /Slalom South American kayak champion (1988 Chile and I went down on Bio Bio River...Top 5 best river in the world back then).And got some major scrapes during that career gonging down in some major waterfalls.. . yet super exciting... Started SUP Surfing 5 years ago because I was almost 50 (49) and had to "slowdown "and be safe...end up cutting my foot on the Fin on a stupid incident...Started 'Wing Foiling" right after and had no incidents...Now all of those water sports has it s own learning curbs...they all can present some danger if not taking seriously...Just like "foiling"...Now you are right!! Something can happen while you learning how to "Foil' or "Efoil"...Now Efoil believe me or not is the easiest of ALL FOIL Sports to learn....With that said Ill leave you with this...NONE of the sports mention above can get closer to the sensation and thrill you have once you Learn how to Foil / Efoil...Honestly but... I can go on for hours to tell you all the fun and thrills I had in my golden days of all the sports above...but no one of them can compare to what you feel once you are "Flying above" the water...and specially the "sense of every input that the foil is giving back toy your brain"...Imagine this...Surfsking or Supsurfing on a smooth big wave....and doing "YOGA" at the same time...IT IS "NIRVANA"...Yeahhh...It is that good brother. Cheers mate and I hope you will experience it one day. Thank you for the comment.

      Thankyou Rolando for your thoughtful reply….you have convinced me to try out an eFoil. I used to love Waterskiing many years ago and have come close to it’s reward on an electric skateboard but it’s not on water…the attraction to eFoiling for me is pretty much to get what you describe, the flow and response from a foil looks right for me.
      Thanks again, looking forward to more vids on your channel, maybe you could do one covering eFoil etiquette and safety on the water.

      @@MerlinMan1579 Hey bud, glad you will give it some try… trust me you will not be disappointed… Try to find someone in your are who is a good instructor… not sure where you live, but let me know and I’ll see who will put the word out to find the best in you area… if you ever get close to Boston let me know. Regardless as I mention, Efoil it is the easiest of the foil sports … if you got good balance on an electric skateboard you will not be far off from a Efoil… (I rather take a wipe out in a Efoil then on a e-skateboard at any time lol… specially if you are going 25+ miles an hour lol. Thank you for the suggestion.. is deff a good subject to put out there for content for sure. Keep me up to date once you get to “fly”… cheers

      I am from Australia but appreciate your offer to find a ride for me.
      Funny you mentioned coming off an electric skateboard as mine malfunctioned doing 40kph and threw me onto a cement pathway breaking my hand...that's why I am a bit reticent to put myself in a spot like that again.

      @@MerlinMan1579 Fuuuuck! lol… sorry to hear that mate… but as I said, outing in prospective, you you had fallen on the Efoil nothing would be broken lol. I get the trauma for sure. I tell you this… accidents happen for sure, in over 2 years in my Efoil I never got hurt, but one time got hit on the head after I felt in the water.. for some freak reason the board came to me and hit me in the head.. the odds for that to happen is very slim… but that is why I wear head protection now. I would do the same specially in the beginning just in case.

    Sorry this happened again. The fact that it broke where it was repaired means that the repair was not as strong as the original carbon, so that’s a problem (if they told you it would be)

      No bud… I broke another board last year ( a carbon board and I got repaired by my friend Jhon.. video link is bellow) this time I broke my fiber glass board… my stupid mistake again … but is all good. Leaving and learning lol

      @@Coach_Rolando oh I see - it looked like it broke exactly the same way. I guess it did! Oh well.
      I’m terrified of this happening! Especially with the Marc Newson that I ordered…!
      I guess it’s good to study the area first. I use an app called C-MAP Boating.

      I regret buying fiberglass, bought it to teach family and friends. It took a dent that required solarez repair kit after 2nd use. Would also add jet is junk, I'm disputing a refund with fliteboard. It got damage after second use, got my propulsion unit very warm. They want to rebuild it, no sir. I'm back to true glide.

    • @Coach_Rolando
      @Coach_Rolando  Před 6 měsíci

      @@drjalemar I don’t have much complain about the fiberglass… they definitely don’t have the same finish as the carbon (they chip too easily) but in terms of impact I found them to be the same … I guess is like a car ( they give warranty for mechanical stuff but if you get in a accident they can’t pay you for the body damage)… so I can’t blame them for my hits against the dock in my case… in terms of the Jet… thank you for sharing … I was still not able to try one yet…,sorry to hear about your experience … I ibid you have to switch the mode in your controller to ride a Jet ( was that the problem)… yes I would not be pleased with a “rebuilt either”… I hope things turns out for the better for you but and thank you for sharing

    • @drjalemar
      @drjalemar Před 6 měsíci +2

      @Coach_Rolando I bought the propulsion unit with the jet, so I didn't realize there is a jet mode on the controller. Maybe that was the problem. There was a lot of debris inside the jet that damaged the components. I changed it to the propeller module, and it went for service at Elite Watersports in St Pete FL.
