If you bring enough obsidian to fill in the 4 corners, then if you use one to pillar up, you still got 13, which is still enough to build a portal.

@@thisaccountisnotinuse The reasoning behind Y=-54 is same as Y=11. We used to mine at Y=11 because lava lakes spawned with base Y=10 so you would not run into lava from the side. Similarly, large lava lakes at deepslate layer spawn with base Y=-55 and the ones that are higher dont tend at reach as low as Y=-54 so its a safer zone to mine in. Additionally, Y=-59 means you are right above bedrock, diamond can not replace bedrock so you practically get less diamonds by mining at that level even if the odds are higher. Though you could reasonably mine upto Y=-56 without the bedrock troubling you provided you can deal with side-on lava.
the lower, the more diamonds spawn, which makes up for that bedrock, and if you can't handle a little lava, then you are just a pathetic excuse for a miner.@@UltraAryan10
@@thisaccountisnotinuse It does not make up anything if the difference in y level is 5 💀 and it is factually impossible to handle lava side-on without fire resistance potion commonly used for underlava mining (a different type of mining technique that is not strip mining) or using obecure techniques like nether wood doors.

Then trade the gold with them and try to get the last piece of obsidian, finishing the portal and getting out alive.
