This song holds up just as well in its original form, but this new-vocal re-record proves the song's staying power. Her matured vocal hurt the song none. If anything it strengthened the songs appeal because we original fans of the song are older, too. The sentiment of making that deal with God still exists much more now that I'm 30 years older and no longer a teenager.

Amazing song, though Placebo (band) did it best Justice IMO, sort of like how A Perfect Circle Perfected (pun not intended) "Diary of a Madman/Lovesong" - which was first written and performed by The Cure, or Gary Jules and Mad World (Love the originals of all of the above, just saying I like the Placebo/APC/Gary Jules versions slightly more than the originals)
