A behind the scenes of the movie incase you’re bored.
This Video was originally a 100 days in the caves video recorded completely as a challenge showing all the ins and outs of caves and how to survive in them.
However, as I finished recording and started editing I wanted to make something different. I’ve always been a fan of horror stories and scary story narrations; the way they can make you feel like you’re in place of the person so I wanted to try it here. I hope you enjoy it. :)
That was really good, I like how you weren’t trying to jump scare us but instead put us on edge and think we were going to be jump scared. I’m exited for the next one.
imagine being slightly startled for a second! absolutely terrifying. jumpscares are basically the equivalent of popping balloons (which is fitting because of wes).
I’m glad you enjoyed it😄 jump scares are fun sometimes I just thought caves are already creepy so wanted to amplify it and it turned out close to how I wanted it 😊
I'm not usually a fan of creepypastas or roleplay-esque stuff but you did a great job with the narration. I've read a few journals from people who have died in survival situations and this was shockingly accurate at times. I really like how the details and experiences of the challenge run were still very present in the story.

Honestly its surprising how long it took people to make horror about a game with a horror artstyle

True. After the Screecher mod I expected a lot more spooks but nah.
despite the goofiness of don't starve, there actually is quite a lot of horror elements to it. the shadow creatures themselves and the whole sanity system is really interesting and really adds to that horror aspect. the forest supposedly added a 'sanity' system some time ago, but from what i can tell, it has no affect on the gameplay and just changes what you can build (i.e. effigies). this video perfectly brings out the dreary and disturbing parts of don't starve's gameplay and atmosphere.
That’s exactly what I thought! 😄 I remember first playing the game and everything is so new and caves can be really frightening so I tried putting myself in the shoes of the actual survivor to see what they would experience and feel. This is my first attempt but I think I will continue this format of telling the story not as me the player, but me the survivor hope you all enjoy what’s to come 😊
I loved this so much. The entire time I was like “Warlys gonna be alive and jumpscare me at the end”but it never came. Instead was a captivating and genuinely creepy story. Amazing work!

I think there is a mod that makes everything from the over world accesible underground but I’m not sure what it’s called 🤔 however for this video I was 1day above ground and then went underground 😊
