Low emissions and fuel consumption normally isn't a priority for people who are tuning a sports car.
That being said, VTEC on this car is kicking in at ~4K RPM. I'd at least bump it up to 4.5K-5K, if you're shifting at redline you'll never drop below that anyway.
god I miss my Ap1 s2k. custom painted moonrock with TL pearl mixed in. Mugen CF hardtop. amuse front bumper. Had pwjdm intake, Wiseco 12.1 pistons, greddy e-manage, J's Racing header, 3"test pipe, 75mm greddy Ti-c, ap2 valvetrain, 7.8lbs flywheel and stage 3 clutch. 17"rpf1's Dyno'd at 231 to the wheels- on a conservative dyno- as shops always claim. forget the name of the shop- i remember it was in Manassas, back in 2011. anyway Bfgoodrich radials on a cold November morning in northern VA makes for a bad situation. totalled the love of my life with just a blip of the throttle merging on to the highway after sitting at a red light. light turned green, must have hit salt or gravel/debris and the best infamous tail whip slammed me right into the guardrail. still think about her everyday. if I was smart back then I would've had all the parts insured, my dumbass didn't. with all the money spent I could've bought 2 more ap1's. damn this video made me sad.

Any more info on the valvetrain? Were the ferrea valves used? Do they offer a noticeable flow improvement over the Honda valves?

Lighter valve train may help with higher rpm and vtec crossover.

Intake and exhaust probably won't do all that much on an engine that's being stretched to its limits from the factory.
Ugh.... Please for the love of god realize that companies dyno the engine... This is a chassis dyno.. Meaning wheel horsepower. Seeing as how most AP2 V2s hit 220whp, this is a healthy bump in power. Which would mean 260hp engine..

Sounds beautiful!. My S near as damn made the same power. AEM EMS2 ECU, V2 intake, Tegiwa Manifold, Milltek 70mm single and Invidia 70mm Test pipe. Although my Tec was set at 4K rpm. Getting used to the power and wanting more now haha!

I most certainly do. Its a 2001 with a 2005 engine in mine. Still an F20C.
Yeah the EMS2 is plug and play. I recommend a proper tuner sets it up. There are basemaps available from AEMtuner software, But they are just a basemap to get the car started and get you to the tuner.
Tegiwa Manifold is a replica of a Js racing manifold. Aside from Hytech, Js racing manifolds are known as one of the very fewmanifolds that actually make power on an S2000. Same goes for this Tegiwa Manifold.
Weihrauch88 but i read that AEM causes you to fail emissions...? is that true? i dont need any pesky engine lights..
Are you talking about the intake manifold? the metal part connected to the head? i cant seem to find anything on this manifold......

Do you live in the US by any chance? I understand you cant run these ECUs in certain states as they offer no OBD functions. They don't display an engine management light at all. Best check with AEM on whether its legal in your country or state.
Tegiwa Manifolds are made in the UK. Google Tegiwa Imports UK and you should find it then mate.

Don't listen to these people, if your son is mature, it is a great car. The stock version does not have much power, and is quite easy and fun /rewarding to drive.

Was it just me or is vtec engaging far too early ? Sounded around the 3500rpm mark.. Does that not put on awful strain! :(
It looks more about 4k, and lowering the VTEC crossover point to around this area combined with a TP and exhaust yields the more gains rather than leaving it at the factory crossover rpm.

Inflated dynojet numbers. No SAE correction. Those mods would never make that much wheel horsepower. The lines on the graph were solid and smooth, just inflated numbers.

Lol beast? This car is far from fast its decently quick and thats about all ill give it. Does the car have great potential yes thats why I now own 1 :). I was 19 and had a gto and never wrecked it and im 24 and the car had 500hp when I was done with it and still never wrecked it I just traded it in so I can build a boosted s2k. Just take him out to a parking lot and let him do donuts and learn how to correct it when it starts to slide. Maybe its just me but when it starts to slide I dont worry
