- Just over a month ago I was invited to film the removal of this Rover R8 ready to go off for recommission. We wanted this video delayed until this car was actually working and ready for MoT. More to come soon.

Waiting at the remote hilly spot in the fog I was half expecting the Hound of the Baskervilles to appear! Of course I smiled broadly at the sped-up footprints!😁 The highlight and most replayed part of the video had to be the sinister march! The switch to black & white, that same Mustard expression (with a hint of smirk) and accompanied by that certain special Mustard keyboard refrain! 👀😆
Having had to scrap my rusty old but-so-bad-it-was-good Fiat Panda, I next had an R8. Not long later, I distinctly remember getting in, closing the door then being amazed by the solidity and quality of the door-shut sound! 🚗🤓

The wait is over!! Safe to say it’s in far better condition than I was expecting it to be, Matthew has a nice daily driver in the works there. 😊

I remember this, it was a few weeks ago and you were being all secretive about it. And now we know, it’s an old Rover. I went on a tour of the 55th best brewery in the world today and had a small amount of many beers and an all day breakfast. They gave me a tiny glass to keep that I’m going to drink beer from whenever I want to feel like Tom Hanks.

@@ProjectNigel Very true, but that’s a good thing. This one was very good, very nice buildings and very nice beer. But there are 54 others that are supposed to be better. If I’d gone to the best one that would be it, all other breweries would be worse. Most of the 54 are in America though which is a bit far and I’ve been to America and found it all a bit too American.

What a cracking barn find. I loved that colour on the duotone R8's. The design has aged really well and looking forward to updates. Are there any videos on the Allegro?
That tower on the far hill looked like Peel Tower, on Holcombe Hill in Lancashire.

No it's Stoogly Pike monument. I refer to it as Blackadder's Hat
It was last MOT ' ed in 2008 with no advisories. It is on the logbook as a white rover, not gold.
