- Yesterday I happened to mention something about the history of the yard and quite a lot of my lovely subbers said they would like to see it, and I ended up chatting about it. I hope you don't mind it being so long.

The ability to work without major head trauma and remain conscious is always a plus point in any work place.... Nice to get a little insight into Project Nigel's origins.
Thank you 😊
Thank you for opening up your you tube channel.
You seem to have your priorities right, and I shall follow.
Thank you very much 😊
This film is Very Good. It looked pretty professional, like a corporate training video. I learned a lot of things about your yard and even though you never mentioned it, I was reminded not to block fire escapes. This evening I was a guest in a house built in the 16th Century. It was very nice, very interesting, but I bumped my head twice. Olde people were tiny.
I love corporate training videos
@@ProjectNigel Peter Purves has big shoes, but I think you could fill them.
Apologies for my not so brief absence from the project nigel channel, man I've missed nigel and his antics
Not a problem, you have missed some truly terrible videos 😄
@@ProjectNigel can't be thst bad Paul mate 🤣
"The rest,as they say is..... Mustard 🇬🇧👌👍🚐😉👀." What a lovely story/history lesson 😀. Woo.
Brilliant, I especially like your view on Rover owners. M.
😁
Just found this video in you playlist. Was great to learn all about the yard, especially as the landlord wants to add anew chapter to its history. Hopefully one day I’ll get to visit Project Nigel HQ at one of your car meets, an epic road trip from northern Scotland 🚙 🏴
Love the story!! Fighting Robots LOL........
That's what they are 😄
Bit late the party on this Paul but shall follow from now on 👍
🤯 Just got done watching the last video and this one pops up, Cheers Paul appriciated 😊👍
😊😊
I'm also an HGV driver which l still mostly enjoy since l began night work twenty plus years back. If l could afford to retire & concentrate more on my very modest pre-SD1 Rover collection then l would & probably wouldn't miss the lorries but l can't so it's lucky l do still mostly enjoy the job. Lack of time to potter is a bit frustrating but l have managed to get a couple of cars farmed out to have the necessary work they require carried out, expensive despite mates rates but l feel l'm getting things done which deserve to be done. Shame about the looming recession but after all, "events dear boy, events".
Nice video, good to find out that you've followed your dream & nice that we are able to share in it too.
I used to enjoy it, but it's not a good job for a family man
Fantastic video, have been intrigued with the yard for a while now
No more mystery now 😄
Very interesting Doctor, thoroughly enjoyed the history of PN. Thanks for the videos, still really enjoying them. I’ve just applied to join your FB group.
Thanks for the history lesson, I always enjoy watching your vids, I find them very relaxing at the end of the day. Looking forward to your next vid 😀
That's always lovely to know 😊
What a lovely wholesome video. Bless you young man. Long live Project Nigel.
Brilliant. Thanks 😁
A very interesting and informative Bit of Project Nigel history.. Many cups of tea later lol. Your a likeable character mate. I found your channel thourght me having a Rover 45 😀🤗
That was quite a long time ago 😊
What a little gem of a channel, very engaging and laced with good northern humour. Great insight into the origins of your channel, cracking stuff 👍
Thank you 😊
Thoroughly heartwarming stuff - just like a good Rover!
Thank you 😊
Good to see you still going strong mustard fingers :P haha
Good bloke is paul, if he can help you save a rover or mg he not only can he probably will
brilliant video Paul really puts things into perspective 👍
Thank you 😊
Interesting video 🚗🚙🚘👍👍👍👍👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Thank you
Great video, love the fighting robots.
Me too 😊
Fascinating stuff. Reminds me of the time I snapped up a fantastic white Rover 620ti from a chap in Northallerton. He'd reduced the price at the last minute for some reason ...
Hahahaha.
🤣
What a lovely story 😊, funny how life works out eh.
Thank you 🙂
Thanks for that Paul, it was very interesting and a pretty slick production as well.
It's a bit different to my usual stuff, and l only jade it because lots of people said they'd be interested. 🙂
A potted history of mustard.
Buying a second hand van in a minefield, if you ever want another one i recomend Al 6d diesels, have a look at his channel.
Im glad i watched this video Paul , i can unerstand a bit more about you and your journey.
Cheers for doing this one - explains loads of the things I've wondered about with your yard while watching your videos. 😃
Lovely 😊
Love your videos, I could watch them all day! Keep them coming. Hope your meet goes well tomorrow. One of these days I’ll bring my T Reg Rover 75 in old English white to one of them. It was one of the cars used for the 19th June 99 London Bridge Launch.
That's always really nice to know. Thank you 😊
Great vid Paul, it’s always interesting to know how people got started with You Tube, with me it’s finding the time and right place.
It is true that you make friends with a certain marque of car, and MG/Rovers are no exception.
It’s like the old Honda Cub advert, “You meet the nicest people on a Honda”
It’s more like “You meet the nicest people…with a Rover!
I honestly believe that to be true; there isn't any unsavoury competition amongst Rover people.
@@ProjectNigel Yes there does seem to be good cameraderie amongst Rover owners.
Enjoyed that video capt 👌, first seen u on utube, your face with some rover mats, having owned rovers since 1990 I tuned in, and watched all your vids, keep up the good work Paul.
Than you 🙂
Thanks for your story Paul
Thanks 😊
Great video, not sure why I haven't seen it until now as id wondered how it all started.
What a brilliant upload, Paul. I found this extremely interesting. It's strange what paths life takes you on. I'm just so glad that everything lead you to end up doing Project Nigel. It's mine, and many others, happy place :)
Would be great to come down and visit the yard 🙂
Lots of unexpected support. Thank you 😊
@@ProjectNigel You deserve it. Its a great channel 👍
Great video yet again, I do love the authenticity of this channel. To some extent I think it is every car guy’s dream to have their own yard, be it for personal or commercial purposes. I am curious if you ship parts outside of the UK too. I have an MK2 MG ZS180 (btw the grey MK2 you got standing there looks gorgeous) as a daily and a MK1 ZR160 that awaits some love and parts are becoming so rare here.
Looking forward to your next videos.
Good video Paul
It’s nice to know how it all started for you and project Nigel. Funny enough there is a Rover 620 in grey on eBay that I’m quite interested in with very low mileage, I also used to have a N reg tomcat in red many years ago with my first wife it was the 1.6 with the Honda engine in it and was a automatic, we had to sell it because my wife at the time fell pregnant with my son
Thank you 😊
👍Rover friends 👍
Fab vid Paul.
🙂
Thanks for giving us a brief history Paul. Great viewing as usual. All the best Steve
Thank you 😊
A carefully thought out and very well-made video. I think it could be described as The PN History Documentary.
Have you another new lapel mic? Don't think I'd noticed that particular one previously.
A funny thought occurred, I wonder if Transitface has featured in more PN videos than Nigel? 🤔
Perhaps 'Gardenspoon' could be the next for the documentary treatment? Or do we keep quiet about that one 😁
There wasn't any planning at all, I just set record and waffle 😁
I think it came out extremely well! You are very good at talking and walking 😃
"it has given me 2 years of service without really any problems"
Apart from when the winch nearly killing you and Mick at mad having to rebuild your brakes before they exploded. 😂
Ah yes I forgot about that 😄
Great video. I have been interested in knowing your yard story, thank you. Glad you have a better recovery wagon now.
Thank you.
But if you started fixing the sd1 that could be possibly a bigger and more epic adventure than anything up to date
Yes. You never know what will happen next.
Fantastic video as always Paul. I always look forward to each upload.
Thank you.
Iveco named it daily as you had to re fill it with oil daily due to leaks everywhere!
Mine leaked coolant to that degree
@@ProjectNigel Great channel Paul, brings a smile to my face in this absolute clown world we’re living through! Cheers mate 👍
Nice background story, you appear to have made the right choices or in the case of recovery truckage had it made for you.
Ah yes, this video has your car in 😁
Thanks for sharing it's interesting to hear your journey. Following your passion is so important and like you said it opens up so many opportunities that you never even knew were possible. Life is short so do what's important to you, see you tomorrow... Mr and Mrs Prelude
...and what a strange dream it really is. Don't forget that the meetup is now Blackstone Edge Reservoir lay-by 🙂
Haha full of cats testicles! See you tomorrow 😀
