Thanks! It's one of many theories that is developing but In my mind its probably the most likely even if it doesn't necessarily make the most sense... we'll just have to see when the time comes.

Interesting... I typically don't care much for lycanthropy in games and was pretty sure I would not have a werecreature playthrough in TWR but it actually being uncontrollable has caused me to reconsider recently. The RP opportunity in playing a Therianthrope (probably a Wererat) in TWR might prove too much to resist. Instead of seeking it out I Might just wait and see how therianthropy changes the course of my playthrough whenever my character naturally catches it... and if I don't like it my character than then have a whole "curing his/her therianthropy" story arc
A moon shard would obliterate life on the island though, unless there was some magic involved. Maybe moon related earthquakes. I can't wait to delve into the magic and ancient lore.
That was my thought as well but it seems that almost no matter what happened magic would have to somehow be involved... unless as you said there was some kind of incredible seismic activity somehow focused there. Anyways, Since making this video I have given it more thought and I think that it would make more sense and be more interesting if some mortals were using powerful magics that sundered the land Mass into an Archipelago. Then the gods could have taken magic away fearing they would eventually destroy the planet. This would explain why magic was gone and suddenly became available only recently in history. Whatever the explanation it seems almost certain we will have to wait at least until the EA build is available to learn what did happen... but it's fun to speculate
Greetings, Lorespire! I think with the Ork clans uniting under one leader and Splendour just getting over a long civil war, your guess about the balance of power is a good one.
My guess about the cataclysm and rising of Merothwyr is that it is an antipode. This is what happens on the opposite side of a planet from an asteroid strike. It would explain the breaking up into islands and the rising of a new one.
Realistically however, I believe an asteroid big enough to cause this would have caused a mass-extinction event, so this guess is likely wrong. I like it anyway though, so I'm sticking with it. Be well, my friend!

The archipelago is for the Orks!
I definitely prefer the Orks and Kingdom of Sidh to Splendour at this time... We actually know alot more about Splendour than Sidh so I expect my preference for SIdh and the Orks to only become greater as the amount of Lore we have for them catches up to the amount of Lore we have for Splendour
@@Lorespire I am blown away on this playthru of FNV. Like its so deep and the way stuff ties together is blowing my mind. And with VICE mod I get lost in the wasteland it kinda makes me teary eyed NGL :) I sooooo hope WR does this immersion as well. I am really intrigued by the way they worded it....iirc...fantastical realism. You have to attempt to make it feel real and all the pieces just vibe as in FNV. Bring on WR!
