      Thank you! The paper is one of the reasons I switched to the stalogy. A notebook in Tomoe River paper or the stalogy paper are my favorites because of the sound and feel. 🥰

    Finally! A video to see how SaltyKatie covers fit in a Chic Sparrow! I’ve been searching for two weeks to see how it fits before I buy a CS! Thank you!!!
    Edit: it’s a catspresso but I think the covers are the same... right?

    • @JustScribble
      @JustScribble  Před 3 lety

      Similar but CatspressoCo are slimmer tighter fit. So they fit better.

      Oh thank you! So it is from a RingBomb party. It was one of their special collections but they have wonderful classic styles and most months have a different special collection. I have quite a few and I love them. I can give you a link if you are interested.

    Love this video; I got some good ideas!! May I ask, how many strings are you using to hold the Stalogy into your CS? Are they in between the jelly cover and the stalogy cover, or are they string into the Stalogy? I"m curious because when I've tried putting bound books into a TN they always seem like they're pulling on the elastics and it starts annoying me almost right off, and your's looks like it's in there securely! Thank you again for another well thought out video, I really appreciate them!!

    • @JustScribble
      @JustScribble  Před 4 lety

      I’m so glad you enjoyed it. It’s on one elastic right in the center (or as close to center as I could find 😝). I’ve done it differently with different books over the years. With my 5 year hobonichi I like an elastic in front and back covers. But otherwise I like just one in the center. Usually on the middle hole elastic so it sits right on the spine. I find it holds nicely and doesn’t bother me and I’ve never had issues with it compromising the spine. I don’t use many hardbound books mostly softbound though. Although it would be the same for me either way. I just don’t like the added weight and bulk of a hardbound.

    Loved your setup! I've never tried the Stalogy (though the paper sounds rather like Tomoe River paper 68 GSM when you turn it). I usually use Nanami TR paper notebooks. How do fountain pens do in the Stalogy comparatively? Can you see sheen on any sheening inks?

    • @JustScribble
      @JustScribble  Před 4 lety +1

      Thank you! So stalogy paper has a little more feedback than TRP but the thickness is very similar to 68gsm. It works great with with fountain pens and you can get shading and sheening. TRP is a step above but it’s a very close 2nd. It’s a great alternative or additional option imho.
      I’ll make a note to do a TRP stalogy paper comparison soon

      @@JustScribble Thank you! I will wait for the comparison, but I might get a Stalogy then, since my favorite notebook is Nanami, and they only have the B6 Slim, and I have a lot of B6 Chic Sparrows! :)

    Been looking forward to this video, and it didn't disappoint! I'm in a B6+ (close to it) this year. Will likely move back to the B6 after. To me, having used both sizes, I don't notice much difference between the sizes, how does the extra half inch change your planning layouts?

    • @JustScribble
      @JustScribble  Před 4 lety +1

      I'm so glad you liked the video! So I was making some notes on my thoughts on this earlier this week because although it is only 1/2" it can make a difference. Like for me I don't like Pocket size but I love Passport and they are only 1/2" different. But that's more due to how they fit in my bags/pockets than anything.
      I do actually find that the size difference does make a difference in my planning layouts. I find I'm trying more variety of styles in the B6 than I did in the B6+. I think part of this is just getting more into the groove of my planning style and part is the paper because it makes me feel more creating than the LT1917 because I love the sound. But part is definitely the size - being just a tad shorter and squarer makes my brain see the page differently. I could totally do the layouts in the B6+ too but I couldn't see it. If that makes sense.

    • @JustScribble
      @JustScribble  Před 4 lety +1

      This particular elastic is some old paracord elastic i had at home so I changed out the original elastic with it. But generally I buy all my elastic from Illustring on Etsy. They have great quality, excellent customer service and fast shipping - and lots of color options. I have a few videos sharing their elastics on my channel and how to change them out too.

      I buy mine usually on amazon because it’s cheaper often than other sources. But JetPens carries them too.
