Hi Guys! Welcome back to another video!
This week I have been really excited to test out the new watercolour palette that I put together for last weeks video! I wanted to use as many of the new colours as possible so painted this bright and colourful cockerel (Rooster). I talk about all the new colours I used as well as a few new ones I mixed as I go step by step through the video tutorial. Today I also share with you a few tips and techniques for painting quick, easy and realistic looking feathers. This painting was a lot of fun and I really hope you enjoy the video.
Thank you so much for watching and have a great weekend!
    Sarah
    Art Supplies I used:

That is incredible. That magic brush must be what the wizard of oz bestowed, combined with awesome talent of course. I am just starting and watching this seems like magic to me

Such a lovely painting! I am hopeful that your other viewers will start to leave more comments to help out your channel! You were technique and method of explaining your colors and their application to the paper, the mixing and all these other fine examples of the painters craft or not usual in all painting videos and I for one appreciate them very much! Reference is clear and bright but the the video was little bit blurry(little hazy) throughout the video as compared to your others videos which made it a little harder as I have to completely focus.I understand that there can be problems with the camera sometimes but just wanted to mention it.
I like your paintings as they are calming along with your voice.😊😊😊

Thank you for letting me know and I'm sorry you had trouble seeing the footage clearly. I sometimes get this happen though I have no idea why as I don't do anything differently one video to the next? I'll have to look into it. Take care 😊

@@SarahNewburyArt Depending on what type of camera, I have seen this happen when you get light in the view finder. Could try covering it while filming?

I heard you can fix the beading up on palettes by scrubbing it with toothpaste, but I haven't tried that so I can't vouch for certain if that works. I personally don't mind and kind of like the paint beading up on the palette, so it isn't something I've tried to "fix".

Just found your channel, really love your style and attention to detail - you putting the paint set together was great, never thought of doing it that way - I need to notate mine now :) is it better to use tube paint to make your own pans or buy ready made ones? looking forward to watching your videos....

Thank you so much! I combined both tube paints and ready made half pans in this palette to try and make use of what I had and I'm really enjoying using it 😊

Hi Sarah. Do you have a drawing of the cockerel that I can download. I have tried without success to draw the cockerel and am feeling very frustrated. Please may I use it if you don’t mind.

Hi Irma! I'm so sorry but I rarely keep my outline sketches now. I did go through a phase of keeping them when I had plans to start a Patreon but unfortunately the demands of my other (non-art!) job has prevented me from pursuing it. I do hope you manage to get your outline sketch done. 😊💐
