I agree. I loved her and Jack, but I also love to see her with Nathan now. There is a sweetness to their interactions that seem strong and that would stand the test of time.
In my opinion I think the show wants her with a mountie. Jack wasn't suppose to die the actor left so they had to kill him off.i think her and Lucas relationship doesn't have enough chemistry for me. It seems more like a partnership while the stolen glances and cute flirty moments with Nathan is a bit more promising and you could feel the chemistry. #TeamNathan
I agree with you completely on that Lucas is a good guy but I don't see him being a good fit for her. Honestly Iam Team Nathan all the way. But however I wish after everything after she chooses finally . That her and him can remain friends in some ways.

This is a lot like when Elizabeth went home and met up with her childhood friend Charles and she liked Jack too. But Jack was a lot like Nathan and Charles was a lot like Lucas. I remember when Charles came to Hope Valley and purposed to Elizabeth and Jack witnessed it and he was upset. Nathan really cares for Elizabeth but he just not as pushy as Lucas. Lucas is always making up Elizabeth mind for her. Not a good match long term. Team Nathan all the way!!
Exactly! Lucas and Elizabeth have no chemistry compared to her and Nathan. I never thought about it like you said about charles and jack and I do agree. I think elizabeth likes Lucas but in more of a friendly way.

Why hasn't When Calls the Heart been picked up? There are few GOOD shows on TV and this one, and Hope Valley are two of the best. The story line is always fresh and exciting. I can't wait, and I'm sure others are in the same boat as to what happens next season. There are so many story lines that keep going and we have to have some answers. PLEASE RENEW!

Nathan has no claim on Elizabeth yet he has shown his anger and jealousy towards her whenever she dares to talk to or spend time with Lucas. If Elizabeth chooses Nathan she’ll spend the rest of her life avoiding Lucas (as long as he is in Hope Valley) so Nathan doesn’t get angry with her. She won’t be allowed to talk with him let alone look in his direction. I can see it now, every other week it will be some drama because Elizabeth talked to some other man besides Nathan 🙄
If i love someone and i see this person "dating" someone else i will be sad and a bit jealous, thus is a normal feeling.I don't understand why people seem to not want to acknowledge that.Nathan was sad and a bit jealous but not angry as if she was his possession.You don't know if Elisabeth will spend her time avoiding Lucas if she chooses Nathan, i don't think so : when Rosemary came to the town, she came for Jack and he had already starting something with Elisabeth.Rigt now they are best friends.
The love triangle is certainly weird but i want to think the writers know what they are doing.
Jack only had eyes for Elizabeth and her for him. When Rosemary realized she was not going to win Jack’s heart back she moved on. It wasn’t the same. I think love is a little strong this early in the game. Being a little jealous is one thing but it’s been Nathan’s behavior towards Elizabeth that I call into question. If he behaves like this when they’re not in a relationship I can only think he would be worse if they are. It would cause Elizabeth to avoid Lucas so she doesn’t “upset” Nathan.
Nathan doesn't know Elisabeth feelings about him, so he can have some questions.But if they start a relationship,i am pretty sure it will be based on trust, because when there is love, there is trust and if trust is there, no need to find something wrong everywhere.
Right now what i perceive is that trust have to be built in whatever relationship Elisabeth will chose to have.
I don’t necessarily see it that way i think that Nathan overall is a better match for elizabeth. Nathan doesnt have the confidence that Lucas had from the beginning. Ive watched every episode so far and his character growth has been phenomenal compared to Lucas who seems to be a standstill in terms of growth. Nathan as he said cares alot about elizabeth and i dont really see how he has been possessive over her i really dont. i think at times he has been hurt because elizabeth has done things that have hurt him. but he never really confronted her about it or anything he was overly angry after the wind storm but he sincerely apologized. I think that if she were to end up with Nathan i dont see Lucas being an issue because he doesn’t seem to care for elizabeth as much as nathan does. i think he would know his place and respect them. i think nathan would definitely be suspicious as would jack or anybody but i think just based on how much is character has changed and grown i think that he would trust elizabeth and wouldnt get mad at her for such things i dont think he would have a reason to.

I think that if Elizabeth is with another mountie, it'll feel too much like she's just replacing Jack. I know it seems like she will end up with Nathan but I think it'll be difficult for her to ever truly get over Jack because she will be reminded of him in the things Nathan does. It would be too similar to before.

I feel that Nathan will be wounded and Elisabeth will be heartbroken and she will wonder if she is really ready to be with another mounty.And we will have to wait to see if "she will do what she is afraid to do".

With Nathan, Elizabeth gets a lovely blended family, a man that will help little Jack know what type of man his father was because he has similar values,, a man that is so in love with her she renders him speechless, and he would do anything to keep her safe and happy. The only thing she has in common with Lucas is a love of books. I dont see a lifelong commitment from only one small thing in common. Yes, Lucas is charming, handsome, and a romantic. But, I believe he is a smooth talker that is more interested in the gamble and the winning against Nathan. Nathan does little things to recognize how special she is with sweet jesters from the heart, and really listens to her and doesn't coerce her into a date that she isn't ready for. He remembers that Emerson's quotes are some of her favorites and makes something tangible for her from that remembrance. That is a true romantic at heart and a man you want to spend your life with because he truly respects and listens to you. That's why I'm #TeamNathan.
I hope she ends up with Nathan. He actually reminds me a little of Jack.

I'd say those in charge had already decided quite a while ago how they were going to write Elizabeth with another Mountie. I truly like the character Lucas with Elizabeth... their relationship is fun, exciting, different, and overall great to watch unfold. Aside from that, I've just never been a fan of a love triangle storyline ...theres always a portion of the audience that feels the better choice wouldve been the other character so season 8 will be interesting.
I totally agree with you. Lucas is more friendly and more kind to everyone. He's confident and he interacts very well with children. Nathan has Allie but that's the only one besides the time he held baby Jack. He has father issues and trust issues. I think we are going to find out in a good way the other things Lucas has done in his life.

Though Lucas challenges Elizabeth, I just feel like he always jumps the gun on her. He does things without asking her permission, and it causes more grief than good.
*** SPOILER ALERTS BELOW ***
Yes, she and Nathan have had their disputes, but I feel like their disagreements have far more depth than the ones Elizabeth has with Lucas. Nathan is a Mountie who's job is to protect his charges so he had a reason to be upset with Elizabeth when she ran off to find Emily. Yes, he overreacted, but his reaction was not without cause. Elizabeth also feels that she must protect her students at all cost, and if that means endangering her life, then she would in a heartbeat.
With Lucas, I feel like his mistakes don't have much ground to them. He shouldn't have sent off chapters of Elizabeth's book without her permission. That's just not something people do. I agree with Elizabeth that it was wrong. Yes, he was excited about the story and wanted a professional's opinion, but still, he should have asked Elizabeth.
One major line Elizabeth said in the previous episode (7.09) is a strong indication, in my opinion, of where her heart lies. When she was talking with Rosemary, she mentioned that she was upset because one, she wasn't sure she could trust Lucas, and two, she wasn't Nathan could trust her.... those are two very different statements. To me, that means she isn't questioning whether or not she trusts Nathan. She seems a lot more upset and bothered by the fact that Nathan was keeping a distance from her than of her argument with Lucas about her book. More than once, she seeks Nathan out to try and understand why he's upset with her. And THAT ENDING - dang!

I completely agree with you! Lucas and Elizabeth having a relationship would feel way too forced. and she definitely seems to care alot more about Nathan. Also you have to remember Elizabeth has a son and Nathans takes care of his niece. I just dont see elizabeth the devoted single mother she is going for a gambler and a risky business man. while they have common interests and such her bond with nathan is stronger. she has stepped into a maternal role with Allie and they already have a strong family dynamic. Being a Mountie and a single parent Nathan understands Elizabeth and bonds with her and connects with her in a much deeper way.
That last part, Nathan leaves her breathless many times. We never see her like that with Lucas. Yes, there is a little flirtation with Lucas, but not that takes her breath away.
Please renew the show for season 8! And please pick Nathan! #teamnathan 😁♥️

Homem para Elizabeth tem que ser só policial, coitada que sina. Ter que reviver a mesma angústia que viveu com Jack toda vez que ele vai a uma missão isso não é vida.
Sem falar que só meu vê ela até prefere o Lucas, mas se sente culpada por indiretamente pensar que está magoando o policial e não é assim.
No final da temporada passada ela escolheu Lucas para dançar, ninguém a forçou até porque o policial e tava lá também aí ela olha e se sente culpada. Lucas da uma demonstração de amor para ela na viagem. Ele foi um verdadeiro príncipe, ela sim ficou encantada, mas ao retornar vem esse sentimento de culpa novamente.
Na minha opinião ela escolher o policial é previsível e sem graça, novamente polícia, mais enfim respeito quem torce pelo Team Nathan.
Mas eu fico com o Team Lucas.

Desnecessário isso, tem episódios que coloca ela indo em direção ao Lucas, depois coloca na direção oposta o Nathan.
Enfim ao meu vê ela tem uma queda pelo Lucas e seu ar misterioso, algo novo para ela, algo que ela nunca viveu, só conhece pelos livros e agora tem a oportunidade de experimentar, mas ela admitiu para Rosemary que "não sabe se pode confiar no Lucas". Para isso tem que se entregar ao que tá sentindo para saber, ninguém tem uma placa luminosa na testa dizendo: sou confiável.
O policial está mordido pois Lucas partiu para conquista e diga de passagem foi brilhante nas idéias.
O que ela não pode confundir é o que teve com Jack e esse da polícia. Acho que ela sofre da síndrome do não vívido.

yep so typical. Couldn't care less about another season after this finale because if she's with Nathan, I have no interest. He talks down to her, is jealous and mean towards her and she chases him but Lucas treats her like a queen and she gets mad when he tries to do something sweet for her.
