I tried to watch a couple other videos about this topic before I found your video. Girl.....those dudes just rambled on and on and ON, and said a LOT "Uh...um". I didn't make it a minute to two in before I'd had enough! I'm going to buy one of those adapters tomorrow and check my lamp wire for damage or deterioration . Thank you for the great video!

Great video, you did a wonderful job in explaining the entire pprocess. My next custom lamp build will have this feature.
Will the adapter work , if the metal surfaces are painted or coated with clear urathane or any thin protected coating.
That makes the bulb too tall to fit under the shade
