Gibson always looks so relaxed for playing such high velocity masterpieces
At a technical level he has to be relaxed but concentrated to be able to play such hard and fast bass parts
@@Macaco_Laser Ah, so the complete opposite technique to Chippendale. Makes sense. Yin and Yang.
Also, often when people are asked what show they would go see if they had a time machine, they overwhelmingly pick some mega band concert from the 70s. I'd go back to this fucking show in 2011 and get my face blasted by Lightning Bolt. God this performance is violent.
Nice pfp :)
If I'm living it's just because I hope to see Lightning Bolt live one day.
Still with us?
They're coming to Brazil next month, it finally happened!!! After all these years I'm so glad I'll have my chance
i discovered this band few months ago and since then I listen them every day
i have periodically for years searched youtube for a really great live capture of this song. why is it only showing now? this is easily one of the best videos of them i've seen performing, it's almost like a legit music video
This is some of my favorite live footage ever, period. Absolutely incredible, visceral, and listenable without the video. Fantastic fantastic work.
Man that scream from 1:58, gives even more energy to the song.
How lucky am I and perfect timing to boot, discovered this chaotic euphoria of the Brians only this year and it's been very hard 'not' to listen to them!!! Got my ticket to see them in Nov'19 and locally wtf!!!! Like it's meant to be to be seeing them ha ha ha can't wait to have my senses mashed up and shattered by their glorious noise live n close.
-song length is 9:11
-song is about george bush
guys bush did 9/11 lightning bolt warned us
WAKE UP AMERICA
+megalith
Except Hypermagic Mountain was released about 4 years after 9/11
+megalith oh shit! I started watching this at 9:11pm
@@unk4140 I read your comment 3 years after you posted it. 3 multiplied by 3 is 9. 3 divided by 3 is 1. Do this twice and you get two 1s. Put them next to each other and you get 11. Put all the numbers together and you get 9/11. The mathematics do no lie.
This video has a noticeable lack of bushes. Where was George Bush on 9/11? If he wasn't at a Lightning Bolt concert, it can mean only one thing...need I say more?
Holy shit fucking
Oh my. Gibson kills this song. Great job
Best Lightning bolt video put out in a while
Awesome.
From 4:30 to 6:00 is my favourite part :)
I would really love to buy a copy of the whole show from you if you have one... absolutely all-around🤯
omg
Holy fuck...
Fuckin' powerful!
fucking yes
Fucking astonishing!
Same feeling man, but we will !!!
Reminiscent of Big Black, even sounds a bit like Albini here (vocally)
theres always fine looking girls at LB shows.
makeithurtful They all have crushes on Chip
In my experience this is not true
Awesome footage. Is there anywhere I could download all of the videos from this show in high quality? Probably the best footage of a full Lightning Bolt show Ive ever found, really want to have them incase they ever get taken off here for some reason.
how fast can I be? Well, you can be fast as a lightining bolt!
sometimes it's hard to find the 1, beat-wise
5:35 does anyone know why he is doing on/off on those pedals?
with his right foot he's using a whammy pedal to rapidly go up and down octaves because the high parts are far beyond the register of a bass and with his left foot he's just changing tone
Rank Savage a year after your comment but he’s actually changing octave AND tone with the left foot. He hits both pedals at the same time. So he’s actually playing 3 pedals at once in the segment. It’s amazing.
Whammy pedal for sure. Gonna plug my bass in and see what I can get out of it too. This shits addicting.
