Masterful! Not many so called Jazz Singers can successfully pull this Hefti/Basie classic off! Her “tone” is awesome on this song! My favorite is still Montgomery Plant & Stritch Live @ Newport ‘88!

...oh my...I was expecting something more "Basie-esque"...but she's given it a whole new interpretation...a little slower tempo...more of a ballad...but wonderful...

The pace is a bit slow. Artistic choice.
Basie did it multiple tempos. Mostly a little faster. That said, this tune is kind of a test. Like Irish Tune by Grainger. How slow can you away with. She gets away with it.
