I thought she sounded like Anita O'Day but now I hear June Christy. Another song she reminds me of Ella or Carmen. She's got it...she's got them all and so much more.
I should say Chris Connor, but here close to June Christy, that's right.
I hear a bit of Helen Merrill in this song.
In other songs she sounds like Ella to me, then June Christy, and yes, Anita O’Day (a bit)… I love her voice and her singing in general.

This in my opinion is Veronica Swift's finest performance by far. I believe that she could go on to compare with Barbara Streisand if she were to accept that the musical direction that she received from Tedd Firth whilst performing Ken Laub's astonishing composition was the key to this masterpiece.

Amazing singer! Sounds like she's singing to a narcissist who's "Hoovering" her back in 😱
Not bad but most of her live performances are marred by a bad sound mix, where her voice is buried underneath the instruments. This one is better than most but the bass is way too loud.
