I'd trust that vibrating compactor more than that wheel. I don't know, maybe I am just to old school or maybe the wheel looks like it is 'tilling more than it is compacting. Either or, that vibrating compaction attachment is way cool and handy. Thanks for the video upload.
Thanks Dirt ninja. I’m not knocking your methods. I think you’re approach to various tasks is top class. I’m just n ireland and hav a groundworks company with 10 excavators. I have 2 Rototilt tiltrotators and am trying to add more into my fleet. Love your work man.
I thought the sane thing about it just tilling the soil. We just did 300’ of water main with an engineer doing compaction tests all the way. We were able to get over 100% compaction with our compaction wheel, definitely made a believer out of me. Our 12,000# vibratory roller was having trouble passing tests with 6 passes. They definitely work
@@tyfast27 Depends on the material - sheepsfoot for clayey soils. Vib plate for sandy soils. Excavators with either roller or plate can exert way more compactive effort than ride-on vibratory rollers, especially in confined spaces like trenches.
Did you buy your parents old shop? I just saw on Instagram that you bought the Cat 305.5e2 and Cat 289D and the 2006 international dump truck and Cat tri axle. What program do you use for your music Tom?
Scrolling through some of my has been channels I came across your channel. I watched Cat 316F and Engcon Tiltrotator Backfilling Garage. How bad did you crack the wall when you swung the sheep's foot into it? It happened at the 6:57 time on the clock. As I was watching I was wondering if you are just a schill for equipment companies and after market vendors. Men have backfilling foundations for years without are the fancy stuff you bring to the job.
Well in sweden we have been backfilling with a tiltrotator for 30+ years. But hey, let's waste some money one 3-4 laborers who do nothing 90% of the day.

Totally agree. Great kit. But I don’t really see the point of that wheel when he has the compaction plate.
The wheel works way better than you would think. The plate compactor is the best though
