Ether or Takeover?
Either
My bro
Let the bitch breath
Ether.
Could you do a clip about Shether by Remy Ma?
Takeover
Nas Dropped Ether on Jay-Z birthday is still legendary AF to me lol
Lol true
that makes it worse 😂
The only beef diss track that id say would be a contender for the best diss track of all time would be Easy E’s Real Muthaf*cking G’s but as the songs have aged Ether definitely tops Easy’s come back to Dre Day because the bars where ripping him about everything and even calling out the funny stuff that Diddy/JayZ both appear to be heavily involved in with grooming (of minors) and far worse. Nas was telling us all the facts over 20 years ago about the depravity that is involved with the hip hop and entertainment industries. We even have other legends like DMX who on multiple occasions vehemently claiming he doesn’t hang out with anyone in ROC and only goes in to make music then leaves and PimpC was always outspoken against the nasty stuff that many are involved with in the industry. Those 3 will always be in my top 5 favorites and should be regarded as some of the best wordsmiths in the game.
Nas blew Jay-Z's back out the entire beef...he did Jay-Z dirtier than Eminem did Benzino and Ja Rule.
It took him 5 months to respond After his whack H to the Omo freestyle. Yall just like to talk
You mean what 50 did to Ja Rule with the last sentence is what Em did to Benzino, Nas to Jay, Canibus to Ll, etc yeah.
@@ends15 it’s okay bro it’s just hip hop lol
@@rvght_ I'm good. Didn't affect Mt life one way por the other. Just stating a few facts for those who were 6 and watching hip hop harry

Ether was so shocking! Nobody thought Nas would come back like that. It was like a 12th round knockout! Lol
Facts!
Nah, #boomdoxful2533! Ether was more like a first round TKO🥊🤣!!
@@CJ_7519 Ok, 5th round 😂
@@boomdoxful2533 , I'll accept that🤣!

I am and Nastradamous were both really good albums. People are crazy for calling them Mediocre. Those 2 albums were better than many rappers best efforts.
It's the "Illmatic Effect"
Hence the reason why Nas Said "rare Nigga im a wonder
Your best success is my worst blunder"
Yeah, I loved those albums! Probably my two favorite albums. Just started really getting into music around that time. Such great artistry! Ghetto Prisoners, Life We Chose, Last Words, Projects Windows, and God Love Us?? Urban life anthems! That’s my favorite type of Nas…describing the ills, and unfortunate realities of life in the projects
Nastradamous was trash 🗑 sorry I am I can live with that album got 2 of my all-time favorite tracks Nas is like and NY State Of Mind Part 2
@@Kingbossdon Shows how limited intelligence you have.
Fuk with your soul like Ether. Brilliant. Nasir. You're the man.
That line was 🔥
🔥 damn
BTW There were no lies on that ether record he had everything and proof
No 🧢
The takeover had no lies but yall don't wanna believe
Bleek had to lie for his brother who guarantees bleek will always be a millionaire as long as jay has money
There was lies in the takeover record as well also there is a video 📹 around Nas using biggie lines
@@hurricanewayne7463bleek is gonna be loyal to Jay-Z no matter what he put that man on and changed his life
The H To The Omo freestyle also hurt Jay yeah.
Nas is the greatest to ever touch the mic untouchable aint no debate. Killed Jay and showed it was levels to this. Nas has always been the king of hiphop even Pac and Biggie went at nas and study nas everybody was influenced by nas even rakim and others everyone. Nas is best with lyrics, storytelling , poetry flow, being able to paint a picture, the message, the concepts/creativity, the knowledge/education hes dropping is unmatched. And his catalogue is untouchable aswell. Nas the Goat 🐐 btw Pete rock produced the world is yours not qtip.
True, thank you for sharing your thoughts.
I like all of your video so far. Keep going.
Glad like the videos, and thank you for your support and encouragement, will do.
Can't argue with Kendrick there.
dope video man!
Thanks, glad to hear you like the video
Since it came out I've listened to Ether countless times. It's like the movie Rocky, a classic. Takeover is a song I quickly forgot about.
Ether goes over many peoples heads
Glad this all in the past. 🎉
True, now they’re all winners
The thing is, what a lot of people don't realise is that Ether made Jay Z lose his composure, it wasn't just that the track was a beast, the beat was savage and the diss was brutal, it ticked all those boxes, it was that Jay Z's own crew knew it was game over after listening to it. You can tell that after this Jay Z pivoted his career away from making music as much and he just started producing a lot.
He did a lot of trend hopping too, it felt to me like Jay Z wanted to shift his image away from battle rap styles and more into pop rap.
Ether burned Jay on a deeper level than most will probably understand and he himself will even admit.
No mention of blue print 2?
The Blueprint 2 was the drizzling shits, absolute arse gravy
Damn that’s crazy
Did you know the story?
@@LyricalHipHopOfficial yes
Oh ok 👍
Ether is the hardest diss song ever, and it ain’t even close! That shit destroyed not just Takeover but JayZ too. It burned Jay’s soul. He was hurt. On the radio crying 😂
I can still listen to Ether 10x and learn something new every time. It just makes you value the culture.
Seems like there are still some lines in Ether that even these channels don’t open or don’t get
Yes he did .
Why does everyone forget H to the omo? Oh yeah only real hip hop heads have heard that.
This video reminds me of “freestyle battle rap translated”
Is that a good thing?
@@LyricalHipHopOfficial not in this case 😅
Lol ok
Wow. Jay mom forced him to apologize. Somehow, I didn't know that fact.
. .. .NAS......
NASIR!
Can you talk about the Nas and 50 Cent beef
Thanks for your suggestion Andy, will do. Just give me some time
Please bro no food in the toilets
Jay z is a business man first. Rapper second.
He didn't even fire back after ether
He tried to follow up with Super Ugly, but Jesus himself couldn't come back after getting ethered.
Did you say the N word and try to bleep it out.
There can only be one king......nas
God's Son 🙏
it's rakim, the only true goat.🐐nas is mediocre at best.😐his claim to fame is a dis track and one great album.🙄 rakim is the true mc and innovator of rap and still crushin' it.🎤😤😁🍻✌😎
Very interesting take 👍
Fuck Jay Z came from Tupac s song,it was Pac voice 😂
Facts
@@LyricalHipHopOfficial and you man stabbed Un and make you take the blame.
That line Aged very well,I think around last year Un confessed that Jay Z was made to take the blame..
Jay also sneak dissed Jadakiss and apologized..
Jay z 😂said came back EVIL 😭😭😭😭
this video sucks. Its like you're reading a wikipedia article lol
Biased shit, yh Jay lost, I agree with that. But u only broke down Ether where the majority of Nas lines were him just straight out lying.
what lie was told?
Damn what a bias video.. no break of "take over " only Ether breakdown.. not even a blueprint 2 reponse from Jay was broken down.. this is clearly a bias video.. Do a real breakdown video
If you don't F with both of them
You're just chatting shit people you don't know nothing about hip hop music

Ether was good. I go back a revisit but the album ain't better than Blue print
Jay Z bank account says otherwise
True
@LyricalHipHopOfficial
I prefer Takeover personally with that Guitar in the instrumental. Nas will always be more lyrical with his wordplay. If your a fan of Nas you going to pick Ether if your a fan of Jay Z it's takeover. But that battle was nothing in comparison to Biggie vs 2pac that was an actual beef where people died.
That's a really great explanation and yeah, def nothing can compare to Biggie & Pac beef
Every kid here talking about this beef like hour there has no idea. Ether was a Heavy hit, But you gotta remember Jay dropped the take over freestyle in July of 01, then on the album in september. It took Nas 5 months to come up with ether. The battle came back around when Jay dropped super ugly, which was a lesser song then ether, but full of disrespect for nas. When people voted on hot 97 of which track was better it was ether vs Super ugly and even then it was a 52% to 48% not a land slide at that time.
What i will say in none of Jays track did he hype up his lyrics, most of it was truth and that's why it stung. Ya'll still gonna roll with nas but i want it to be clear from the perspective of some one who was there. It wasnt ether vs takeover, cause thats a whole level different
It was takeover vs H to the omo, and then 5 months later ether vs super ugly. This isnt as clear cut as some yall Jay haters wanna make it.
J still lost bro
@@furiousstyles81 this man tried to break it down like a Canibus fan explaining how he didn't get bodied by Jack the ripper.
@@PWNHUB nas had insults, Jay hit em with the truth. We ain't gotta say no more
Man JZ lost. Nas mopped the floor with that fool
Jayz lost bro lol let it go 😂

You humiliated rap with this bullshit!!!
the only rapper that can defeat nas is 50 cent he almost made nas quit rap and even eminem can't destroy nas career
50 Cent is a beast
not really what would you do if he and nas came out gay and in a relationship@@LyricalHipHopOfficial
its just a joke lol
@@LyricalHipHopOfficial
Stop it. 50 cool, but ain’t touching Nas went it comes to this rap shit
😂😂😂 man cut it out
I don't like Jay-Z as a person but there is no media campaign strong enough to convince / brainwash me into believing NAS is better than Jay-Z.
It's not even close.
It doesn't matter Jay-Z lost and he said it in 3 songs and take over was more about prodigy than Nas so Jay-Z fans are delusional and Nas won on the internet before the internet was a big popular every day thing why yall Jay-Z fans don't talk about that and there is no way a verse is going to be a whole diss song
@@boppsykes3623I luv both of them
and why no one talking about the song called success
Jay z is bigger obviously... bit lyrically.. Nas is better
