Carrying a 'cross to bear' definitely gives one a deeper meaning to life. One particular cross's carrier gives hope to millions who wish to have it.

This is why Peterson resonates so well with men. It's not that his message doesn't work for women, but men are much hungrier for meaning. This is reflected in higher suicide and crime rates among men. Leftists, ever eager to expose sexism whether it is real or not, think he resonates with men because his message must be misogynist. However, Peterson convincing men to take on responsibility, rather than avoid it, is the antidote to the feeling of meaninglessness that haunts so many men in the west.

no bro, according to the Jungian-Campbell model of the hero's journey, such a journey is for men only, women have their own heroine's journey.

To those who say that Dr. Peterson's view only works with men and NOT with women, I'm the living proof that it's false.
Hi, I am a woman (heterosexual) and his podcasts and speeches really do resonate with me. In fact, since I was seventeen, I've been listening to his teachings and now I'm about to get my degree in Psychology because Dr. Peterson's advices really fueled my drive in life. He is such a blessing from God. Just wanna share that there are women like me who appreciate and was greatly influenced by Dr. Peterson's speeches. 😊

(1st woo!) Dr Blackwood, please convince Dr Peterson to work for your college. Imagine all the other great professors who would follow, who don't have the public profile that Peterson has. You could create a hive of teachers and thinkers, not afraid to cross the line of political correctness, willing to investigate uncomfortable theories, and challenge the mainstream. Why should these professors be scattered apart? What benefit to be dispersed? Instead of these great minds being stultified, coerced and suffocated, alone in their factory institutions, they could be together, reinforcing each other, giving each other courage, defending each other from slings and arrows thrown their way. After all, they're all human, alone we are weak, together we are stronger. Imagine how it would feel, to teach in a place like that - to know that your colleagues have got your back, to know those around you are there because they're just like you and won't cower before the altar of political correctness. A central place not only for these types of professors, but a central place for we type of students. How many students are going to have the resources or ability to travel to different countries to learn from these titans? Imagine, as a student, you could be learning Philosophy from Christina Hoff Summers, in conjunction with Psychology from Peterson, and then tickle your taste buds with Economics from Thomas Sowell... all at one college, easily, just by clicking on the "Enrol" button.
I am 31, married, live in Australia and I would quit my job, move to Georgia, go back to college, to learn at a place that like and from teachers like that.

I do think having the great thinkers of our era working together in one faculty to be a superb idea. However, I also think it's important that some of the intellectuals (or professors, if you will) are dispersed around the world for various reasons. Perhaps they like living at their current residency and enjoy the autonomy of living their current life. Dr. Peterson himself seems to already have a lot of his hands with his tour, new book, lectures, etc.
Dispersion to some degree is important. Remember MLK. Early in his life, King decided to move to Montgomery because he wanted to focus on the civil rights struggle, even though he desired to lead a church back home in Alabama. (Take this with a grain of salt, my history is a bit hazy). The racism, resentment, conflict, anger - Montgomery was the heart of all that. So MLK moved there to take on the struggle at its core. In the same way, I think there should be opportunities for unbiased, free, truthful education, but at the same time, there must be some professors out there diligently doing the honorable task of bringing back truth on the table, whether that be in New York or in the Netherlands.
Of course, great advancements in technology has made it much more easier to communicate information using the Internet as a conducive medium, but I still believe there's only so much you can do with technology right now. Especially with all the blatant misrepresentation and strawmanning.
Huddling all the intellectuals in the world together at a location can't be good. There are countless ways the media can make them look like a insane pack of conceited individuals. Today's society is disappointing..

I do like the idea and already have thoughts of moving to Georgia. But it occurs to me that the Jews have been so successful specifically due to their global dissemination. Also, most of the thinkers you speak of hold the individual to be the locus of power and apprehension. So it's a tough call but I really do like your idea and if it were to happen there's no question I'd be on my way to Ralston (at age 46).

@@benjaminjeffery6873 I graduated from a private university. I had to look up what a chancellor was, because I had no idea. He is touring and engaged in other things that earn him money. He is essentially an administrative leader of sorts for Ralston, which is still incredible for Ralston and its students.

No..The meaning is also in happiness, in self development, in self-esteem... Without this you cannot serve well and you cannot be responsible... You must develop the self... You must develop strength in body and mind
