  • Hi Nail Besties,
Today I’m finally doing a review on Candy+, another fun Japanese gel brand. This is part 5 of my series on how to find the perfect Japanese Gel brand for you. In this video I talk about the pros and cons of this brand and also show you a small nail tutorial on how I use the clear gels to do a overlay with a plastic nail tip.
If you like a more in-depth video on creating nails with plastic nail tip make sure to hit that thumbs up.
If you have more question on Candy+ leave it down below and I’ll try my best to answer them.

I’m going to have to check out Candy +. I’m the same way and prefer thinner base coat for the same reason.

I just discovered sweetie nail supply and I was shocked and how much product they have. I mean wow. Part of the reason why I just feel like Japanese and Korean gels aren’t worth it is the availability. They do seem to always be out of stock. I’m really excited to try Dgel potted colors and their art gels

Yes! I like sweetie nail supply as they don’t seem to run out of stock as fast but when products run out of stock it like WHY!!! 😅

Do you have any recommendations for an overlay for someone whose nails always separate with gels? Doesn't matter the prep - her nails always do this. Sometimes it'll happen within days and sometimes a week later. Ive been researching japanese and korean brands but not sure what will work best.

If her nails are separating, have you tried a rubber base before putting other gel products on? Looks like she might need more flexibility on her nails and a rubber base might help. Let me know if you tried this and if it works. If not, we can see what is going on. I had clients like this before but with these types- its all about trial and error with products on them.
