- Hi friends! Today i wanted to sit down and talk to you guys about the recent video Tana Mongeau posted and my thoughts on it. I don't hate Tana and I was honestly rooting for her and wanting her to succeed and come out of this situation stronger and more mature but after seeing her side of things in even more detail I don't think thats the case. I love you guys and I will have a new video up on Wednesday!

It’s fine. I’ll say it. She’s a liar. She’s a proven liar. Her storytimes are inflated lies. Tana knows more than she’s letting on. She’s not an idiot. And she spent the whole video trying to pass the buck.
Tanas problem is herself. She can’t show up relatively on time, she’s a liar, and she took people’s money. And now she’s using video proceeds to pay people back. She takes no financial hit at all. People are still cheering her on and coddling her.

Tana manipulates us thru that whole video, and she’s still lying. We know what the capacity was, they stated it in the cut clips. She said she was off social media?? When??? I watched the whole thing, and I really wish I wouldn’t have given her the time of day. You know someone’s full of shit when they film an HOUR LONG APOLOGY. I unsubbed from her today. She’s cancelled in my book.

Her video is disgusting. The fact that it starts with basically a montage of the most popular youtubers & media outlets talking about her basically sums up that nothing has changed. She seemed high af in the red sweatshirt and you’re right. She made so many huge allegations in this video and she didn’t back up any of it. Surely there was a contract between her and Michael saying exactly what each of them is responsible for? And if there wasn’t then it’s all on her, no matter what he told her.
The thing that annoyed me most was the fact that twice she basically said ‘no matter how disappointed you are in me I’m more disappointed.’ So essentially ‘yeah it sucked for you, it sucks more for me’.
Also can we talk about how tana kept saying “I put in so much work I asked so many questions I was there here’s the video proof” but all the “proof” was just from one day????
She is so calculating and selfish. She has not one empathetic bone in her body. I am shocked she still has supporters.
I really suspect that Tana is no longer doing drugs, but drugs are doing Tana. I believe that's why she isn't focused, she loses time, and she's extremely into herself. I fear that something bad is going to happen to her if she doesn't sober up.

I SO AGREE WITH YOUR STANCE ON TALKING ABOUT TANA. More people- more of the big influencers, small, and viewers- need to show that we ARE unhappy about how Tana has approached the situation, how she was allowed to get away with everything with so little damage control. It's our responsibility to speak up now, if nobody else will. Love your videos so much, you're one of my favourites. Keep going girl.
I think you are absolutely spot on when you say that Tana was waiting a month to say what people WANTED her to say. Everything in that apology video was fake. So much of what she said was just making more excuses like she did in Shane's documentary. I think she waited a month as well to hype up anticipation and get more views. I don't think it worked though. The comment section is a mess over there.

Hi! I'm the her you keep referring too in you're comments! Some people like dramatic makeup and others don't. I would never leave you a nasty comment saying you wear too little makeup, so maybe think about that before commenting on someone else's choices. One thing that was nuts to me was Tana saying she was grateful that Shane Dawson "gave her a platform"... Umm.. what? She has a platform.... lol..
But, what I want to know more about is the supposed profit made. Veeps held onto the $325,000 before, however many, refunds were issued. But, Tana said Michael Weist made something like $450,000 profit from this event. From where? From who? Investors? Sponsors? But, then she said that he spent every penny that he made on the event. Did he? Really? What did he spend it on? What money is she talking about? Did Michael Weist walk away with sponsors' money? Did Tana get any of that? It's the first I heard about that, and she didn't elaborate. That's far more interesting to me than how she trusted the wrong person, etc.

thank you for making this video and calling out Tana for her shit apology, and I completely agree with you on how shes manipulating everyone especially Shane. I love Shane and he can be friends/support whoever but i feel like with Tana its getting a little ridiculous. I dont want to go out completely and say shes “using” him but I do believe she’s manipulating him in her advantage. theres a part in Shanes series where Tana says something like “should your video be my response?” bc she really thought Shane was gonna fix this entire situation for her
Honestly what would have surprised me is if Tana expressed genuine remorse for her actions and showed any inkling at all of maturity about the situation. I am truly surprised she even made the video. I think she was relying on Shane's mini-series to speak for her. But Shane left so many questions unanswered that people kept Tweeting about Tanacon. I truly hope for her young fans' sake that she does not attempt this shit show again next year!! 🙈

It should’ve been “I’m so sorry for everyone that suffered through the hot weather I let my emotions get the best of me I should’ve never thought I could pull this off in a month! I totally agree with you. I think the only thing that I would add is that it isn’t mutually exclusive to be a selfish screw up and desire to do better. I really do think there is a part of her that earnestly wants to be better and show the world that she can be, which is why I think she’s both selfish and genuine at the same time. But that’s just me. I’ve definitely been in situations where I’ve screwed up and immediately thought ‘i have to make this right by doing whatever I did wrong but better’ even if that’s not what’s needed. It’s part ego and part wanting to be nice. I think that’s where I fall with her (but I also might be a softie).
In any case, really love your video. Wish you were the one asking Tana a follow up interview. And I think people enjoy your videos like this because you really do hammer home a lot of points that people wished the subject (in this case Tana) was asked and challenged on. Keep being awesome ❤️
I agree with you. That's why in a way it's kinda sad because i don't think she's a terrible person and I don't think she even really 100% realizes what she's doing. She's just a person who I don't think was meant to be a public figure and now that she is doesn't know how to handle it.

This might be an unpopular thing to say... But I really didn't think it was relevant to bring up the accusations of rape and sexual harassment and all of that dark stuff involving Michael. It absolutely might be completely true. But what does that have to do with any of this? What did that have to do with hers or his involvement with this failed event? Like we get it... He's probably a pretty bad person. But that seems like one huge deflection in my opinion
I agree. I think instead of trying to make a documentary about that she should have encouraged the victims to post there own stories and supported them emotionally, not try to use it as a tool to make him look bad and her better.

I completely agree with everything. I feel like she is a lost cause at this point. I hate to say that because I wanted her to do better and be better but if this situation didn't change her, I honestly don't know what would. She's ok with being a fuck up. She's ok with being irresponsible. She's ok with being a horrible role model. She DOES NOT CARE about anyone or anything. I honestly wouldn't even call her selfish because she doesn't come across as caring for herself that much TBH. It sucks but it is what it is.
Haven't watched the video, too long, waiting for other channels to comment on it, but I looked at the comment section and It seemed she explained pretty much nothing. At this point I think the only thing that will bring her down will be her fans growing up and getting bored with her.

Serra it literally pissed me off that she waited a month to upload a less than half assed apology, and hyped it up like it was a huge story time and not a moment of being humble and admitting her wrongs. Then she dangles the allegations against Michael over us in the beginning of an APOLOGY, she didn't take it seriously just like everything else in her life.
Its funny cause there is video footage of her manager pulling her aside and straight up telling her how bad things are, and she's not giving a single fuck. It's great.

Yeah. I’ve been friends with a pathological liar and manipulator before and watching tana is very familiar. Tana lost me before the apology once she started making jokes and producing merch about tanacon. It’s one thing for other youtubers or people who are somewhat removed from the situation to crack a joke, but if tana felt so bad, like... her video with James Charles really irked me because she just shows no remorse. If I was someone who orchestrated an event that caused literal suffering, I would definitely not be profiting off of merch. 🙄

Get it, girl! I just made a video about this as well. I can't believe I wasted an hour of my life. AND YES! I didn't even know that she posted this video late because I was at work. Like are you kidding me?! Hyping it like that, having a month and still posting late is just further evidence that she hasn't learned anything. And I completely agree that this video could have been 5 minutes long.

As I said in another video, the fact she’s 20 doesn’t define her level of responsibility... STILL it’s not an excuse for this mess and most of all how she dealt with it since she’s a business woman sort of. And I don’t really care about her, I care most about her young audience even if her content is just fun, nothing educational.
