I am Liverpool fan living in Alkmaar so I support AZ Alkmaar. Slot managed AZ before Feyenoord and the job he did there was amazing. He almost won the league with AZ before winning it with Feyenoord. I watch Eredivisie every week and winning the league with Feyenoord is much harder than winning the league with Ajax. Especially when Eric Ten Haag was managing them. Ajax are the Man City of the Netherlands all the money is there. Slot is definitely the Klopp of the Eredivisie.

I have a feeling this guy is going to be pretty damn good for them.

Very happy with the appointment. He plays a similar style to Klopp, so not too much tweaking needed. And, from what I've seen, he is very comfortable with the media. He has the charisma that Klopp has and that alone has won me over.
I think Liverpool need to move away from the klopp mould. I think klopp managed to compete by being the best at his style of play, but i don’t think his style of play is the way that will win consistently. The team requires too much turnover of players, not enough defensive focus.

Can't be hoping to win PL next season with 2 great teams like Arsenal and City with managers who are settled in their roles. I would also like to see some progress in sorting out some of our flaws: the TAA problem, stop leaking crap goals, figure out a front 3 with chemistry, hopefully see some players improve.

As an LFC fan I feel like Klopps gengen press has finally been found out, when Liverpool are in possession we struggle to break down teams and rely on moments from key players. All you have to do to beat Liverpool is to try and get an early goal and then park the bus because we rely on the counter attack too much, we struggle so much to break down teams. Arne Slot plays attacking football, however rather than relying on that counter from the gengen press, he likes to hold possession (similar to how Pep plays) and break down teams. So as an LFC fan I'm devastated to see Klopp leave (obviously), however I'm excited to see Arne Slot providing a fresh system that hopefully brings silverware to Anfield. Luckily for Arne he is inheriting a young exciting squad built by no other than Jurgen Klopp.
I'm an Ajax fan and even I rate Slot above Ten Hag. People forget that Ten Hag's last six months at Ajax were pretty atrocious and they were scraping by(still won the league though). Slot has been way more consistent at a club with a fraction of the budget that Ajax has

No, we belive in Mike Edwards!! Slot is just a coatch now, Edwards has got rid of the manager role......... So now LFC is going to be much like the A's in Money Ball, with a GM that does everything (selects and buys players, Contracts etc) and all the Head Coach does is trains the team and implements tactics.
I'm happy we got him and it is also a good moment ot get him. Our season is practically over after last round of the PL, players can now start thinking about the new season - who wants to impress the new manager and fight for a spot, who wants to jump ship. Come June most will have their mind made up I hope whereas if we got the new manager at the dead end of the season players like TAA and Van Dijk would most likely not extend their contracts.

Slot is going to surprise the entirety of England football. I don't think it's a bad thing so many people are doubting his ability, but he's the best coach I've seen at our club since I've been following Feyenoord. It's going to be a lot of fun to watch Liverpool the coming years
as an LFC fan I'm extremely excited at the prospect of Arne's arrival. Scary thing is the transfer window, where Mo will probably go and our frtontline in general are not delivering what Sadio, Mo and Bobby did.
Klopp's philosophy is one of fear. The players seemed petrified of making mistakes. He called it heavy metal football, but I saw it as very risk averse. We need to be far more daring and I hope Slot diverges from the current system.
One thing that's pretty obvious with Arne Slot compared to EtH is his personality, he actually has one! Hopefully he's miles better in the football management dept too 😄
The next 2 summer transfer windows will be interesting. I’m interested to see what happens with players like Gomez now that klopp is leaving. I think you’ll see certain players leave who klopp kept around cause they fit his system.
What you're not counting on with us being in the title race is the fact that Klopp has set up this squad to fight for titles - that is also why he is a legend - leaving when the train is speeding up not slowing down. Throw in new signings from Edwards and Hughes and great coaching from Slot and we have a recipe for success. No one said it will be easy but I expect us to challenge after a big summer.
We are a good side, but there are so many new faces esp. the midfield in the team.. I don't expect them to play well together in just a season.. In fact, we have overachieved by going into a title race.. I'm expecting a lucky 3rd place this season, most probably 4th.. Which is why I am not as sad as many fans do when we out of the race..

Liverpool fan here… I think it’s a great step forward. I will always love and appreciate Klopp, sadly… we needed a change… and Arne fits perfectly in my opinion
As an LFC fan I feel like Klopps gengen press has finally been found out, when Liverpool are in possession we struggle to break down teams and rely on moments from key players. All you have to do to beat Liverpool is to try and get an early goal and then park the bus because we rely on the counter attack too much, we struggle so much to break down teams.
Arne Slot plays attacking football, however rather than relying on that counter from the gengen press, he likes to hold possession (similar to how Pep plays) and break down teams.
So as an LFC fan I'm devastated to see Klopp leave (obviously), however I'm excited to see Arne Slot providing a fresh system that hopefully brings silverware to Anfield. Luckily for Arne he is inheriting a young exciting squad built by no other than Jurgen Klopp.

No, we belive in Mike Edwards!! Slot is just a coatch now, Edwards has got rid of the manager role......... So now LFC is going to be much like the A's in Money Ball, with a GM that does everything (selects and buys players, Contracts etc) and all the Head Coach does is trains the team and implements tactics.

I'm happy we got him and it is also a good moment ot get him. Our season is practically over after last round of the PL, players can now start thinking about the new season - who wants to impress the new manager and fight for a spot, who wants to jump ship. Come June most will have their mind made up I hope whereas if we got the new manager at the dead end of the season players like TAA and Van Dijk would most likely not extend their contracts.

Slot is going to surprise the entirety of England football. I don't think it's a bad thing so many people are doubting his ability, but he's the best coach I've seen at our club since I've been following Feyenoord. It's going to be a lot of fun to watch Liverpool the coming years

as an LFC fan I'm extremely excited at the prospect of Arne's arrival.
Scary thing is the transfer window, where Mo will probably go and our frtontline in general are not delivering what Sadio, Mo and Bobby did.
Klopp's philosophy is one of fear. The players seemed petrified of making mistakes. He called it heavy metal football, but I saw it as very risk averse. We need to be far more daring and I hope Slot diverges from the current system.
One thing that's pretty obvious with Arne Slot compared to EtH is his personality, he actually has one! Hopefully he's miles better in the football management dept too 😄
Big plus for Slot is his communicative abilities, with the management, the players, the supporters and also with the press.
The next 2 summer transfer windows will be interesting.

What you're not counting on with us being in the title race is the fact that Klopp has set up this squad to fight for titles - that is also why he is a legend - leaving when the train is speeding up not slowing down. Throw in new signings from Edwards and Hughes and great coaching from Slot and we have a recipe for success. No one said it will be easy but I expect us to challenge after a big summer.

In fact, we have overachieved by going into a title race.. I'm expecting a lucky 3rd place this season, most probably 4th..
