Today we visit Highgate Cemetery and visit George Michael's final Resting place.
George’s unexpected death on Christmas Day 2016 resulted in an outpouring of grief across the globe. And then there was the music he left us, both as half of Wham! alongside Andrew Ridgeley and as a groundbreaking, globe-conquering solo superstar. As the world knew, George made special music, searingly honest, expertly crafted, but always full of heart, soul and passion; music that will last for decades to come.

George Michael had the voice of an angel. Oh how I loved him. I still listen to his music often. Cried like a baby when he died - so shocking - it was a month after my dad passed away. Thank you so much for sharing this legend's final resting place.

Thank you so much for showing us his finally resting place. George Michael was and always will be a big part of my life ever since I can remember, his 25Live tour was my first concert ever at the age of 11 and one of the best days of my life.
It's nice to see he is resting in such a beauty place, thank you again for showing us!

He's in Highgate Cemetery which is located quiet near his highgate home, he lays in an absolutely beautiful serene Cemetery..I thinknmost women had a crush on him 😉

@@SerenitySueGraveyards He was indeed an amazing artist and is in a beautiful resting place. I was born the same year Wham Was formed. My mother was very young and we had all of his records as they came on to the market. I still have 2 of them that I've have managed not to break after all these years. I always knew something was "different" about him and I knew he and I were somehow similar, I didn't know how or why, I just knew something was "different" and the "same" about both of us. I had never heard about being gay or what it was, as it was never spoken of in my household, never acknowledged. It wasn't that it wasn't acceptable it just wasn't even spoken of at home. Well, as I got older I began to grasp the similarities even if others didn't. I grew up in an ultraconservative tiny town where gay was 100% unacceptable yet he was adored there. I'm doubtful that they'd have loved him during the height of the AIDS scare had they known his "big gay" secret. Now, I won't say George changed our society but in some small way, (if only in my mind) he made being accepted just a tiny, tiny bit easier for people like myself. I thank you for sharing this video with us all and for your respectful and truthful coverage of him. Much love and respect Sue. Be well and be blessed.
Thank you for you honest story, I wish everyone was open minded but unfortunately they are not, I've deleted some horrible comments here towards George and his life choices but I had worse on my Freddie mercurys partners(Jim huttons) grave, it got me so cross but I just deleted them and chose not to respond, one I can't change their mindset and two they are just not worth it..I wish you nothing but the best in life and hope for a more accepting world, I also agree men like Freddie Mercury, George Michal and now Adam Lambert have changed this world, if only a little x

Ah yes Sue! I was hoping you’d visit George Michael’s resting place! The most gorgeous voice in popular music! I’ll never forget my friend coming back from a trip to Germany (we were 12 years old) and asking me if I’d heard of Wham - I said no! Of course that changed quickly 😊 I still have the LPs to prove it ❤️

Thank you Sue .i have seen it before on another site a couple of years ago but with not as much history of him .my Daughter Sarah was a massive fan of his she would have loved yo have seen him.i could always hear his music from her bedroom on full blast.i had to the tv sound up for mum.there were three generations of us in the house so i had to keep the peace so to speak.i hope you and Grave bisitations enjoyed your bisit to London.ive got one dodgy right eye at the moment so please excuse any mistakes.take care both .☘☘♥️

Would you belive his house in Highgate is just up the hill, probably a 15min walk but I never realised until we came home or I'd of definitely shared the area too, we just didn't have enough time for everything we did, even Grave Visitations video on Freddie Mercury's house was thanks to the taxi man who dropped us to Bromptom cemetery he told us to walk up to it, we just didn't realise but so happy we visited that too...if only we had of figured out the underground we'd of been able to travel better and cheaper too but we'll know for next time ❤️

Imagine the pain, to loose his son and 3 yrs later on his sons anniversary he looses his daughter, I can't imagine that loss, God help them x
I think from what i have read Andrew formed Wham with George. George has admitted on numerous occasions there would of been no Wham without Andrew. But we all knew who the musical genius was ...George.
You're correct if Andrew hadn't been there, well there would have been no Wham but yes George was the voice of Wham x

I've been there on 2016 December 26th. Both on Goring in front of his own door and visiting his home in London. But funeral took so long that I was forced to leave UK. Now, I'll be there on February 2nd. I hope I could locate his grave because that's my mission.
It's not that hard to find the grave..go into the west side of highgate, up the steps, now as far as I can remember just head up straight, they don't show you on the tour. I found it fairly easy

I am from Spain and I did see his concerts here traveling to Madrid, the capital, but if I could go back in time I would have gone to his concerts in other European countries. One day you lose your favorite singer forever and you realize how important it would have been to have done it.
Oh I understand that, I was a huge Michael Jackson fan growing up but was never allowed to go to a concert, then I became a linken Park fan should have went to a concert, things I really regret now. George has a very Beautiful grave in a gorgeous cemetery, take the time to wander around its amazing
