UNEXPECTED Find in 1600's UNDERGROUND VAULT
In the chancel is the double effigy tomb of Walter Cruice of Naul (d. 1663) and Elizabeth Cruice of Brittas which was erected in 1688 by their son Patrick Cruise. The grave is decorated with trumpet-blowing putti. A carved cross also stands in the graveyard.

You found it. Now you need to report what you have discovered. I don't want to be buried. I want to be cremated and my ashes buried at sea. The stones that are facing down may last longer than the others. The sheep are taking better care of the building and grounds than humans are.

I'm sure there's talented and historically educated folks who can do this one at a time but I always do wonder. That is evidence of some people's disrespect for anything sacred. It amazes me the number of churches in that part of the world that are in absolute ruin. It is a thing though that the dead are forgotten by the living with the passage of time.

I think you're wrong about them being ancestors of Tom Cruise. Tom's real family name is Mapother. Any evidence of their relation would be appreciated.
Tom can trace links to most of the old aristocratic families of Gaelic and Anglo-Norman origin including the Plunketts, O'Neills and the Maguires of Fermanagh.
