  • Was asked to assist with an oil service on this 2016 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6. Changed both the engine oil and oil filter, for the first time using an oil extractor too.
Used a 32mm socket for oil filter housing (secured at 25nm torque)

Hey, no worry about getting under the car. I just sold my absolutely mint running 2016 TD6 with 280,000km on it, and bought another with 95,000 for less! I changed the 5W30 Castrol every 6000KM, fuel & air filter every 2nd oil change. I did have a buddy who said that with a 3m slim siphon, he was able to get at least another 500ml of bottom oil out of it, by running the smaller diameter hose directly down the siphon to the bottom of the sump; I haven't tried this but will.
The best thing I ever bought was the Ottofix LR specific OBD tool, saved some serious cash on diagnostics & resets.

Super extend the air suspension no need for trolley jack :)

I tried that, after watching countless CZcams videos.
Just wouldn’t go into super extend mode? 🤷‍♂️
I would have preferred to do it that way and drain the oil from the pan too.

It's easy extend fully with button place something under the jacking point lower the suspension then it detects it and rises further than before.

      @@mfoster7453 that’s exactly what I tried
      🤷‍♂️
In the end, I didn’t want to waste anymore time. So just used the oil extractor instead.

      Thanks Ryan! 👍
I think it was roughly just under 6 litres.
I started monitoring the dipstick level after 5 litres.
I always worry about over filling to be fair 😅
