📺 Animal or primal flow looks similar to yoga, calisthenics or capoeira. The movements are more primal and imitate locomotive patterns of animals. It requires minimal effort to get strong, resilient, flexible, relaxed and to increase coordination.
Motivated by the primal flow of Michael Vazquez on YT, Tayo decided to challenge himself with this 30 day mobility challenge. He did animal flow exercises 15 to 30 minutes everyday. The results of this movement based training were amazing. He found his own flow to tackle immobility and awake his inner animal/child. In this video you can see where Tajo started, his progress and the resulting ability to flow freely on his own.

Kudos for your wife for sharing the passion.
Cheers I will forward;)
And the kid as well.

Cool family ❤
Very inspiring. It's almost as if you're unlocking what our body initially was made for, but we all tend to lose due to our lifestyle habits. And that progress over just 30 days is remarkable.
Thanks and it was a good portion of commitment needed. Great to hear that it motivates you!
What was the body in your opinion made for?
As a 45yo looking to reclaim the fitness I had in my youth this is very inspirational. I don’t want to be just another gym junkie pumping weights and looking for something different. The range of motion, balance and control you developed is amazing. Well done and thank you for sharing the journey
You are welcome. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and you are inspirational as well. You'll enjoy that journey if not already started. There are some useful links in the video description. Your heart rate will start pumping, shoulders and hips be open and strength still increasing drastically. Cheers
As a 53 year old life long martial artist I’d taken this for granted. However during covid I had to solo train and concentrated on this (gynastica naturel) I think some call it, and callisthenics- I can without doubt say it is the single most effective routine you can do. I actually feel like I am getting younger. Great and inspiring video thankyou.
Thanks you as well. Very true!
As a 56yo life long martial artist, having just watched this vid and recognised so many movements, I want to ask - have you tried Capoeira?
@@DiscoFang no, not yet but indeed many others commented the same. I am happy to give it a try but as I am on travels atm Imanf assume that I would go best with a surrounding community I will have to wait s couple of more months until I settle;) thanks for your contribution! Cheers
@@DiscoFang I’m familiar but not tried it. I do yoga which seems linked.
It needs to be really good to compensate how idiotic looks
Love this video! The angles, transitions and cuts are very captivating.
Thank you for the kind words.
Amazing work man! The excercise, the video edit and with the soundtrack, and mostly the research you have made and shared in the description!!!
Thanks Dave for your appreciation! I really wanted to share a bit of my experiences. Cheers!
This was excellent. Glad you showed you used every surface possible giving everyone a chance either in their home or outside to get to grips with this. As a 64 yr old woman with joint and back pain, I’m about to embark on this exercise journey to help with mobility and elevate pain
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Best of luck with your exercise journey for mobility and pain relief. Stay consistent and listen to your body. You've got this! 🐾💪
Yay! It’s so great to know that I am not the only 60-something taking on animal flow.
Dude you looked like a pro after ten days already. Your base mobility is off the hook! Well done.
Yeah, thanks man! I guess it also got much better because it was mainly routines that I've had to practice. Animal flow brings a lot coordination work with it. However I was surprised how far I git in 30 days.
Very good video! You can really see the improved results at the end! Well done! And your quality of making the vid is top notch!
Hey, thanks for your kind words and I was indeed very impressed how fast my body adopted to this challenge:) cheers
This is pure inspiration. Thank you so much for putting this together for us. When I was young I did a lot of this kind of stuff through play/climbing, it felt great. When I was high school/collage age I wanted to make films. This work of art brings me back to both and inspires me to take it further. Thank you.
Thank you for your kind words. It is definitely never too late. It just gets harder and harder to get out of the comfort zone and learn or do things you always wanted to do. But it is possible! and if you try it, you will never look back and regret it no matter the outcome. Best of luck on your journey!
Yaaassss!
Do you have plans to start to upload your films, movies, shots, whatever in this 2023? Well, I do a vote of confidence and sub to your channel waiting for your art.
@@esperandosenal2099 hey Esperando, there are a few videos in stack, the schedule is a bit loose as we are working on multiple projects and have some major projects in our life’s. There will be videos about: learning handstand (male version), moving to another country, meditation, learning unreal engine and video techniques, 5 am club, free diving, and others. However I am relocating to Australia atm, another one moving within Germany, a third one started a new role in his profession, that is why we might be a bit flexible with our submissions. Hope that is of your interest and thanks for your subscription:) cheers🙏
@@esperandosenal2099 Because you did not use anyone's name, I am confused whom you were directing your comment to -- Ben Santerre or Pushment.
Excellent progress! And I truly love that you're family is all doing it together. That's awesome.
This is awesome. I am a level 2 certified AF instructor, martial arts for 30 years and teaching/personal training for 25+. This is one of the best things I have seen showing the benefits of mobility. I will definitely be sharing this to my students! Keep it up!
Thank you so much for your appreciation. I really rely on this kind of training and it’s benefits in many ways. Hopefully many more get inspired to start to use their bodies a better way. Thanks again for your kind words and I feel honoured to receive this kind of feedback by someone with that much experience in martial arts!🙏

Where did you start? Was there a good beginner video that you started with?

@@theAussie01 Great comment and totally right. I underestimated the art of movement and it became an essential part of exercise’s
Thank you for showing me your beginning. It gave me a little giggle cause I can 100% guarantee that my beginning will be a billion times worse; but just watching you continue and improve just absolutely inspired me to start somewhere. 🙏💜😊 And it can be something I do with my kiddos too.
Hey that’s is great news! You can follow along the useful videos I’ve placed in the video description. Go for it, be consistent and you will enjoy🙏 Cheers
Absolutely loved everything about this video, the editing, the videography and the routine in itself. I loved that you involved your family into it as well. The progress made in 30 days is remarkable! Human potential truly is limitless. Thank you for creating this.
Thank you so much!!
Been using AF as part of my regular workout and BJJ routine for over a year to help keep me mobile. Love the program. Also love seeing your progress. Great video my friend!
Glad you enjoy it! I currently use it as a warm up for learning the handstand. It opens hips, lengthens shoulders and straightens my back. Cheers
Just commented above how BJJ uses many of these moves! Will definitely try it!
@@traceygresham6845 great and thanks for your input. I will look it up! It’s comments like this that even brought me to animal flow. I also will consider BJJ, as many commented already about similarities. Thanks again!
Man thanks. This reminded me that I have Way more mobility than I use daily and it can be fun. I hope you have more videos. It’s super valuable to catch things from the bottom up
Thank you very much and already thought about a second part of this challenge as it did the same to me;) cheers
Thank you very much for posting the training-plan. YT is still one of the most supportive an nice social-platform on the internet.
Absolutely right and you are welcome!
I love the quality of your movement at the end and that the whole family was enjoying doing it with you! How fun! Fun to enjoy it together and fun to get your body back. :)
Thank you so much for your kind words! We really appreciated to do h the is journey together. Nowadays the three of us learn handstand on a daily base. Hey thanks Aaron and we’ve tried to give as many information as possible. One day someone suggested this training in a comment and I gave it a try. Now it’s on you to give it a go!
Love love this!! The huffing and puffing are so relatable and the wet ‘muddy’ scenes at the end! Gorgeous!
Hey Janet, thank you so much for your kind words🤗
I’m so glad I stumbled on this. I’m 35 years old, and have focused only on “mirror muscle” and lifting big weights. As I’ve got older, my body and mind have suffered as a result of ignoring the very nature of our bodies. This way of playing and moving is so healthy for our minds and our bodies, I can’t wait to get started!
PS amazing job with the editing and sound track. Got me some goosebumps watching it 😊
Hey man, thanks for your kind words and please go for it! It solved a lot of my problems, similar to yours. I am also 35 and started a bit too late with that. Anyways, better later than never. Thanks again for your feedback! Cheers
Try Freeletics
I'm closing in on 60 years old, and this brings back memories. I grew up in the woods, running around like a little heathen. :) But I also received training in martial arts (karate, and eventually Wing Tsun and Hung Gar kung fu). This is very similar to the Kung Fu training to move like animals, without the focus on avoidance, defense, or attack. Very interesting!
It's not a mirror muscle workout but it makes you discover new muscles you didn't know you had. Tuning 50 in a month so I need to start this type of workout so I stay limber.
Same, bud. Same. There are more functional ways to do heavy lifts (like kettlebells) if you want those big muscles. Tons of this primal stuff for mobility, kettlebells for mobility-integrated heavier weights and just a couple of "grind lifts" for things like biceps and side delts.
This is very inspiring, I am starting my 30 days of animal flow as well. great work man.
Thank you for this feedback and go for it! There are some useful video links in the description. Maybe that helps you with your journey! Cheers

Dude what a find, this looks great! Lots of overlap with things wrestlers do, some Bak Mei Kung Fu, some basic stretching, gymnastics, a little MMA, some functional. This could be the most efficient and effective warmup going. I think after about 20 minutes of this, every cell is going to be ready to go. My current warmup is pretty good, this is likely the next level upgrade.....Just the Bear Crawls alone look like they will do it, I can only do those for about 3 minutes before gassing out. Thanks for posting, I'm going to give it a try.
Thanks for your feedback and it really became my standard warm-up routine. I currently learn to handstand and do this almost every day, even 5-10 min and you are on fire. The good thing is that it all comes very natural and you can flow freely once you’ve learned the basics. Much fun with it! There some links to follow along in the video description;)
that is absolutely nuts dude! Very very nice. i gotta start this.

Looks like they mixed capoeira and yoga and called it ginastica natural. Now they're rebranding it as animal flow.
Haha, I also found many other names like primal flow and in the end decided to stick to this one. Ginastica natural is new to me. Anyways the method is efficient and helps with increasing mobility. Cheers

Perfect! Specially I like scorpion switch. I'm in the start my animal flow way and this move is so hard for me ))
Thanks for your feedback and good on you! There are some moves where I also really struggled in the beginning, but I was always impressed about the progress and how the body adopts to them once you just start to practice. And later on it is pretty easy to get back into it due to muscle memory😳 it is really an amazing training method!
@@Pushment absolutely agree with you! Thank you for motivation and good luck with your progress! 💪
