There are TONS of cool effects in this pedal - another fine example of how easy to use and great sounding the 200 series pedals are!

Peace & Love - Hudba
1- Buy what Bea reviews
2- Try it and realize it will never sound like Bea's demos
3- Try not to cry
4- Cry
It's not about just gears, yes gears are important, but why would you want to sound like someone else. No offence, but it just doesn't make any sense at all, I can understand if you want to sometimes sound like someone but try to be unique. But if you want to sound like BEA you need to soak your soul in his music, I don't just mean the songs, I mean the techniques and feel, the attack and the mood you also have to listen to what he listens to and little by little it will start getting clearer. His chords are not really the hardest by the way but his technique is something else, if you want to noodle like he does it's more of like funk and modern metal and just being yourself, and being happy with new discoveries but the more you try to be exactly like someone else the sadder you become and the more unnecessary you spend on gears, watch reviews and see what heard fit your style and buy em that's all.
Kingsley Schmidt I didn’t say that. I was referring to the quality of his recording. However, if I want to sound like someone else that’s okay too, if that doesn’t make sense for you, maybe it does for some people
@@gabrielfrison LMFAO well said!!
Better to spend hour with Bea ´s commercial than tv. He ´s funny and sick. Love it!
I know it's quite off topic but do anyone know of a good website to watch new series online ?
I bought the md-200 after watching your last demo and man I’m very happy with it. It replaced 3 mod pedals I had and has opened up a lot of space in my board for a lot of other stuff. I love the vibe setting with the fuzz. Instant Hendrix lol.
Watched 10 vids on this, yours is the first to show how to step through presets which obviously is incredibly important for gigging musicians. Sounds good!
I love sooo much your playing man, so inspiring. Thank you
Sound amazing , great job Rabea !!! always great videos , playing and reviews... thank you !!!
Dude, this pedal is something incredible!!
17:14 Best stank face I've ever witnessed. And glorious tone to go with it.
Man, everything you play is a song worthy riff! 🔥 awesome!
always great playing and sick tone Rabea... guaranteed to never disappoint and that's why I can smash that like button before I even watch it lol... I hope you are well and carry on with the great content and thanks a lot!!
Luuuuv that slicer sound, very very nice Rabea 👌🏼
the way you use that slicer in a more subtle way is really cool and practical, beyond just imitating a kill switch
always a pleasure to hear your work well done
Killer tones as always, Rabea!
Lets GOOOOOOOOOO been waiting for a while lol. Gonna get the dd-200 soon and that's probably it, but it's cool to see you noodle on these pedals lol. Cheers from socal
I’m a huge fan of Incubus too 🤓 I heard you playing some of the chords I associate with Mike Einziger and then when you said that I was pretty stoked 🤟
Really Solid stuff Rabea!!
GREAT VIDEO MAN! Loved the pedal!
Thx man. So usefull to show it in a nutshell. Just know whAt to expect
This is most tasteful demo I’ve heard of this pedal . For each sound you showcased a song writing aspect that can be used in the real world . I’m digging the Incubus vibe btw !
Excellent and inspiring demo.
Great tones. Wow!
11:41 ooooh that sounds lovely
I'm sold , great demo
YES Silverchair! One of my favourite bands growing up, luckily got to see them live on the Straight Lines tour. Aussie represent :)
One of my all time favorites too!
Man... Your reviews are the witches brew!!! Great work
OMG Abuse Me threw me back to my happiest years!! BTW, thanks for the inspiration to get back to playing guitar
Dude, You are the absolute best.
10:25 Come on... Abuse me mooore I like it!!!!! Phasing is ultra cool and everytime I try one phaser pedal I play the intro arpeggio of Abuse me... Iconic sound!!!
If I am thinking about getting a new pedal, I look to your reviews before I buy. Great work.
Silverchair. Nice mention of it. Cool review, Rabea. I'm thinking about getting the MD-200.
Thank you, I enjoyed this very much. I placed the order for mine.
This is awesome. I just bought one right before you uploaded lol
Rabea, would ever make a video of you playing off that pedal from start to finish? Like, a twenty minute or so video or all of your favorite effects.
Rabea makes any pedal sound good. I'll probably buy pedals I've already sold just because of him. Oh well.
Sold… great video/playing man
Some of those fast rotation effects sound like something Oz Noy would use. Nice!!
great demo. The tremolo is beautiful. And the fuzz part made me think of Eve 6.
Getting some Ozzy "Killer of Giants" vibes early on. Good stuff!
Rabbea is awesome!
My God!! Never thought you would play Silverchair song!! I immediately hit the like button 🤘🤘
Hahah that overtone part made me smile!
It’s such a dope effect. That paired with my octaplus and some light fuzz/chorus gives me these huge fat organ tones on my bass. Oh, this thing works great for bass too.
Thanks for this. You really intuited some great sounds out of this pedal. Love your playing too - really creative and soulful but based in the blues. A lot of Hendrix influence to my ears but I could be wrong.
Just as you make great music, you make great vids.... I like this stuff. Can feel you get a little vibe of "i could use this" at certain parts through goofing around.
Thank you! That’s what I try make all my demos to be like. Discovery of cool sounds and jamming. Thanks for watching!
I could have listened to 27 minutes of the tune you had good NG in the open.
DAAAAAAMN
12:11 absolutely filthy, disgustingly dirty. Brilliant mate. Wish Bea would do a drum guitar machine pedal demo, don't think he has done one?
Rabea's face at 17:15 = priceless
Silvechair-frogstomp 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Excellent demo. I ending buying the MD200 a while back after watching it so thank you! I've had this my board for awhile and found it very useful. I do love it. The one thing that irks me however is the controls on the Rotary. I really need a depth control on it to control the intensity of the effect. Unfortunately for me, Boss chose to substitute gain drive for depth (I prefer my own overdrives) and the E. Level nob on the Rotary setting doesn't control the effect level but only the volume level of the pedal itself so there is no work-around using other pedals. So I find myself mostly avoiding Rotary on this pedal except for maybe if I cover something like Let It Loose by the Stones!
Isn't it supposed to have an EXP pedal connector so you can do exactly that?
@@mercedesescobarmusic Thank you! It does have an expression pedal input which I honestly haven't tried, however IMHO you shouldn't NEED an expression pedal to just simply lower the intensity of an effect. I would have to get a bigger board so I can fit an ex pedal on it. Hmmmm....thinking lol.
@@rishardlampese8947 Oh, I think I hadn't fully understood what you meant. I agree with you! That's just silly...
Great video as usual, Rabbea! How’s the EQ on this MD-200 sound when you start adding grit? I’ve seen a lot of reviews of people saying it sounds thin/no depth even in the effects loop. I really want to buy it though and give it a whirl.
Rabea is like that one cool cousin
Incredible tones. As always. How do you think it compares to your mobius though?
The slicer effect kind of produces that Edge from U2 vibe. I dig the pedal but don't want to have to invest in a ton of pedals that is why I like the Artist MK II amplifier it gives you a plethora of shaping options for your sound. If nothing else it is a great starting point before selling the farm to build your ultimate rig. If I were to put something together and start gigging steady the 200 series would be on the top of my list I have run boss pedals in the past as my workhorses and love the range that they have if it has been used to shape guitar sounds Boss/Roland has made it one step better. Cheers and stay safe!
That first overtone jam is too damn tasty
Battle Without Honor Or Humanity ;) classic
I’d like to see you compare the sound of a stand alone modulation pedal (any one featured on the 200), with the 200 effect. How different are they?
I use my modulation pedal BEFORE my gains. Except my LesterG Erich comes later to also have modulation after gainpedals. I do use my effects loop for reverb Abe delay. I place my Summon Deco early in the chain to split to two amps (Orange and Marshall combos) where do YOU place your modulation pedals? Before OR after the gain pedals?
Great pedal. The only negative is the position of the angled stomp box buttons. I have to put it on the second row of my pedalboard, and the angle makes it more difficult to press the buttons. You have to use the tip of your toe if you have a pedal in the first row.
Yeah. How they managed to go from the most easily stomped switches (the standard Boss lever) to the most difficult, is a bit perplexing lol.
Question: does the wha is after the distiorsion pedal, using md200? And do you confirm that it is possible manage the wha sound using an expression pedal? Thanks
Bit off topic but that t-shirt is clean haha
The midi is with a mini TRS jack but taking a look at the MD-200 manual and there is nothing saying that this device is a Midi 2.0 device. I think it’s just Midi 1.0 (which will be backwards compatible and work with Midi 2.0 but not as capable as midi 2.0)
Hey Rabea i have just bought a little budget Mooer PE 100, do you rate them just as a bedroom effects assist, they are nice and small, i have a floor system but it is bulky , just wanted to know what you think, by the way i use a Vox VT+ amp, even though its got effects i like a clean channel first, then string my floor effects, cracking review again, big fan
HI all, when I use the pedal in stereo I/O, the Slicer comes out with stereo pan (ping pong style). ANy idea if this can be changed or its a default setting when the pedal is used in stereo?
Okay that slicer jam gave me some Radiohead vibes
Ugh when does the reverb 200 come out, boss!?
Getting an rv500 today to work with my ES8! cant wait. Also, I didnt realise these are midi capable. So could I get a dd200 and get cables that attach it to the normal 5 pin midi outs?
You can get 5pin din to 1/8jack cables Boss actually do one but it is £17.00. If you are good with a soldering iron get the parts and make your own. One of the pictures for the Boss cable on the Andertons website is actually the wiring diagram for the cable. Don't trust cheap cables you can buy on Ebay, a lot of them the five pin connectors are not wired correctly, I found out the hard way! I am running this pedal and the delay and the graphic EQ with an es8 amongst others on my new board. I hope this helps.
Just wondering, how does the rate knob work for the ce1 chorus setting, I’m more used to a simple dial that has no display. What do the numbers mean, how do I know which is 12 o’clock or 5 etc?
One step closer to Guitar Dubstep!
Wow, Overtone mode is GOOFY and I love it
that jam at 24:33 funk nasty
On the incubus "sounds like" video you guys chose the strymon mobius for the effects. Would the MD 200 do an equivalent job for getting close to that incubus sound for a fair whack cheaper?
Definitely man! What did you decide in the end?
In between this and a strymon mobius suggestions? Chorus is super important to me which one do you feel is better and why
Any thoughts on looking at headless or fan fret guitars
what are the chords you played at 4:23 they are beautiful especially the last 2
Watched for one week, just got mine today, haven’t tried yet till tomorrow.
Hi
Just one question, is another pedal used for this démonstration ??
Drive or distorsion?
Bea, my guy, you look SO creepy in the thumbnail. Love it.
Cool! I really want to know wich mics you used in this video.
wish it had a 'stack' button where you could save a patch and stack another saved patch on top ...like flanger and phaser together
Those pedals (200 series) are 100% digital? And if that's the case, they are the same FX you can found on the BOSS GT-1000? Thanks!!
Intro really reminded me of Kyuss, sounds great!
Saw them live when they opened for Metallica. Your right it does :).
Or boing boing by powder finger
6:22 First time that I get sea sick because of music! Such a weird effect!
Do you put it in front or in the fx loop?
Silver Chair for the win
Great video but i had a question: given this is all modulation and modulation is best put in the effects loop. Can you run the ins/outs into the effects loop of 2 different amps? In other words, in/out A into fx loop of one amp and in/out B into fx loop of a separate amp? Or is it best to have this go into the front of the 2 amps?
I wouldn’t say modulation is BEST put in the FX loop. I actually don’t like it in the loop as the sounds are too pronounced. I have them all in front of my drive pedals and then into the front of amp from there.
That said, if that’s how you like mods this would certainly work that way... you can take the FX out of each head into L or R of the MD200 respectively, and then back into the corresponding return.
I have this pedal, time I messed with some more. Cheers.
Huh?
Hi Great Video John From Florida USA . So how you set up like the IR 200 SY 200 and the DD 200 in Stereo Please let me know Thank you
New game. Every time Rabea says “Crack On” take a shot.
19:36 so I could use an expression pedal to basically turn the auto-wah into a regular wah pedal which I can control with a heel to toe expression pedal??
Pretty sure that auto wah Can do that fast guitar effect on any color you like on DSOTM
That was a Leslie speaker so a chorus or rotary effect would best copy that .,,
Hello Rabea,
Sorry for my English I'm a french guy.
I would like to know how do you drive your many pedals when you play guitar in live? Do you have a midi system controler or do you switch them one by one?
Thank you.
There's a recent video on the pedalboard he uses (will use actually) live: czcams.com/video/jsxx3BQQ7lA/video.html
Basically there's a G2 controlling most of the pedals.
Thank you for doing this video. be a
12:40 I need just this in its own pedal. Would a univibe do it?
kill bill theme was awesome 😂
showing some of that functionali'y
I’m still waiting for an RV-200
or a new compact reverb.
or anything that isn’t the giant RV-500.
Lol the rv-500 is not giant, it's smaller than the old Boss -DD20
And the rv500 fucking rules.
Stephen Dorn the 20 series was also giant. But the 500 series are wider than those even. I’m not saying it’s oversized for what it does, but it’s too big for my setup.
Fucking shoutout to Silverchair, my dude! I'm an Aussie and grew up with Daniel Johns.
SILVERCHAIR!!!
Does Rabea actually use any Boss products?
So guys, what does of boss multi modulation pedals have the best quality? MD 500 or MD 200? 🤔
Same. Difference is features not sound.
@@jbrashguitarist thanks a lot
I bought this pedal yesterday. The PARAM knobs are not straight forward being different for every effect. It's a nice pedal but it can take a lot of fuckery to get things right.
