The problem is that Hindus have lost the ability to do the advanced research in these topics. None of these fields of study are included in any university in India. In fact, it is so difficult to study Hinduism in any university in India.

Harapriya K Hinduism should NOT only be studied but also experienced. Anubhav is important. To be honest, we don't have to even study hinduism. Dharmic civilization's culture was built around sanatana dharma or eternal laws of nature. Village people in India would know more about atman, karma, reincarnations, moksha than city folks etc. It is the integral philosophical unity of majority of people in India. West's philosophy is different from hinduism's darshan. For darshan, we got to have embodied experience in addition to learning it. There is no ego involved. We are NOT shoving down unproven philosophies or mere theologies down the throats of other people. like the western/middle eastern Abrahamic religious faiths which were not even built around a credible philosophy. Forget about having embodied experience.

Your clarity of thoughts and command on your subject is so amazing and your communication is so engrossing. I do not have words to thank you for being there getting us loads of information that impacts our polity in a big way without us knowing it.

It's wonderful to see this panel discussion, and Rajiv Malhotra's penetrating and well-researched commentary. The commentary provided by the man from Bihar (41:50) and the Ph.D. woman (44:50) gives hope that we Indians have started to recognize the formidable challenges posed by the existential threats like the U.S.-funded Churches/NGOs/activists or Saudi-funded Islamic Madrassas that would like to delegitimize Hinduism and break India. After 70 years of missed opportunities with Nehruvian socialism and (sham) non-aligned movement, it's time that we begin to "decolonise" our mind and start working towards our self-interests, on our own terms.

    Spot on Rajiv ji!
Would strongly advise everyone to read “Trend Nine : MULTIPOLARISM”,
    segment “Long-Shot Consequences -> 1) A PRO-DALIT CRUSADE IN INDIA”
in John L Allen’s book "The FUTURE CHURCH"
    ISBN 978-0-385-52038-6
The segment cites examples of very questionable anti-Dalit discrimination in India from undated human rights monitors (no references provided), while in the same breath referring to significant contemporary improvements in society like the appointment of Kocheril Raman Narayana as the President of India (1997 to 2002), and Narendra Jadhav’s appointment as Chief Economist for the Reserve Bank of India.
The passage recognizes "the possibility of structural injustices drawing greater level of scrutiny as the country’s economy grows on outsourcing from other countries, its dependency upon the global market provides foreign companies and governments with potentially enormous leverage on Indian policy”.
And, it claims, if there is no international effort to promote reform, the Catholic Church is a good candidate to play a central role. They have even identified a potential Desmond Tutu waiting in wings: Archbishop Marampudi Joji of Hyderabad, the country’s first Dalit archbishop.
“Pro-Dalit efforts could be the global Catholic Church’s next great human rights crusade (after collapse of Communism in Eastern Europe, and apartheid in South Africa). But as the global spotlight on India grows more intense, the potential will mount.”

Dont keep blaming the govt. if each one of you practice dharma , - thats a bigger force - people for people. Its a movement - the religion and cultural practices becomes the fabric of the nation which holds every hindu intact.
Get every child in school. Teach them sanskrit, tamil , maths english , indian history. Get reliable sources example Kuppusamy Institute of Sansktrit studies .
Every indian should be proud of his heritage. Never let outsiders tell us who we are. We tell them who we are . The Hindu civilisation is one of the oldest and strongest. Its roots are entangled with the cosmos. So preservation of our civilisation is important before it gets digested by the Whites.

Many westerners asks this question, Is there any difference between word "Paramatma" and "Bagwan\God"?
Well the answer is Yes, there is!!
To understand this we have to understand what and to whom vedas call Paramatma. Parmatma according to vedas is actually Param Tatva i.e Super Element or Ultimate Element, here Tatva is a Sanskrit words which means an Element, and this Element is the source of all sub-atomic particles.
According to vedas, whatever materialistic world you are experiencing is made up of virtual particles thus is virtual & does not exists at all, as we know, there are so many particles and antiparticles which all together makeup this universe , none of them are solid (Generally we use this term when we consider elements like zinc, copper etc) , initially physicists used to believe that all particles or atoms are solid but later in 1920's this was revealed that neither atoms nor any sub-atomic particles are solid i.e they appear to be solid but were not, So everything which we thought was real suddenly became VIRTUAL because everything was made of those virtual particles (vibrating energy strings), that means all elements are virtual and thus in reality does not exist at all, That also means humans, animals, birds, insects which are also made up of those virtual particles are also virtual and thus does not exist in reality.
Vedas & Upanishads in Hinduism mentions this virtual reality as MAYA (MA => Something which appears as solid, dense & real, YA=> but is not) , this secret revelation by Vedas were initially rejected & not believed before 19th century by western physicists but were later respected & accepted with great shock & since then they started carrying deep analysis & researches on these Vedic literature's in Sanatan Dharma.
According to Vedas or Chandogya Upanishad the source of all these vibrating virtual particles is one, and to that Vedas call it Param Tatva, and there is continuous vibrations of OM in that Tatva (Element), due to which Vedas also call it OM. It's actually because of this vibration (OM) creation has occurred.
    "Ekam vipraha bahudha vadanti"
The truth is one and learned call Him by different names.
"truth" here meas Braman i.e Om or Super Element or Paramatma, and it is this Tatva who has manifested itself in different forms here in this universe, i.e all the forms either living or non-living, tiniest or largest all are different forms of one Tatva (Element).
On the other hand when we say GOD or Bagwan, we are talking about someone who is Generator, Preserver and Distructor, inshort one who is DOER (Karta). whereas Paramatma is not DOER, Paramatma is REASON (Karan) behind every Karma.
As we know that humans, deities, bagwan's, animals or insects all are different physical manifestations of one Parmatma, the one difference between Bagwan and Humans are that Bagwan's are self-realized and not all the Humans are self-realized.
Now as i mentioned Paramatma is Karan (reason) behind every Karma and Bagwan/God is Karta (doer) of every Karma, now to understand this consider an example of Refrigerator, the function of refrigerator is to do cooling, thus here in this case, Cooling is the Karma (deed), Refrigerator is the Karta (Doer) and Electricity is the Karan (Reason).
God/Bagwan is also virtual like this creation but Parmatma i.e Super Element is only one who is real or truth or one who is not virtual.
Another difference is GOD/Bagwan either in Hinduism or Islam or Christianity is not formless and it has a form, Bagwan or Allah or God can move, talk, give orders, give punishments, manage things, Sits on throne (like Allah does). Bagwan/Allah/God can be seen (b'coz they has a form) , Allah & Christian God can be seen on Judgement day, Allah also give the expression of Wrath (expression can only given by a form) to those who do not accepted Islam & will go to Hell as per Quran.
Parmatma is formless because it's infinite in all dimensions, it's omnipresent i.e there is no place that can be imagined where this Element is not present, it's Ghann i.e it's infinitely dense which means it contains infinite mass in it. It is Stationary i.e it does not move at all as there is no empty place where it can shift itself because it's already omnipresent. Paramatma does not involve itself in any objective actions directly (like talk, move, walk, give orders, speak texts for holy books, give punishments etc etc).
Bagwan Krishna himself said to Arjuna, "Hey Arjun, this is not my real form, my real form is formless, infinite and beyond time with no beginning and end".
Remember when i say Allah and God has form, it means Allah is physically not omnipresent i.e it's appearance has a beginning points and ending points, secondly a form need not to be made of bones, blood, muscles, iron, mud, stone, wax, wood or glass, a form can be made of air, gases, gravity, light, water, electromagnetic waves etc etc. Also it is not necessary for every form to be visible.
Remember the only difference between your body and a Gas is that atoms in your body are tightly bonded and atoms in Gas are loosely bonded thus your body has a visible Form and the Gas has Form which is not normally visible by your Eyes due to it's biological limitations.
now you understand that physically & behaviourally there is difference between God/Bagwan and Paramatma BUT elementally everything is Paramatma.
Remember Parmatma (Super Element) is the supreme ultimate power and is actual reason behind all this creation according to Vedas. Paramatma is 100% Scientific Element which is the reason behind formation of all these sub atomic particles. thus the Allah and the God mentioned in Christianity who live in Heaven have no relevance with Vedic Param Tatva (Parmatma or Super Element).
Nowadays many people like zakir naik & christian missionaries are fooling people about Hinduism by translating & manipulating the Vedic verses for their ill intentions of doing religious conversions in India, by making people aware about the real knowledge of Hinduism we can prevent innocent people to become fools by these missionaries.

I have had first-hand experience in 1994 in U.K. of the evangelical 'marketing' that Rajiv mentioned. I was a young man of 25, on a 6-month long job assignment, put up with 3 other fellow indian colleagues at Cherry Hinton village near Cambridge. One fine weekend, along come a group of three people, I believe an Indian, an East Asian and a British - we let them in, and they go on and on about how everything is wrong with the world and 'you non-Christians' and how Christ is the only saviour. I was completely blind-sided by their insistence that 'everything was wrong with the world'. We politely disagreed, and after trying for half an hour, they went away, leaving me wondering why it was that I wasn't feeling so bad at all about myself or the world(in fact quite the contrary), when they said I should. It must be really tough to be brought up into a faith that either tells you you're a sinner, or that has some very puritanical does and don'ts like praying 5 times a day. I believe Man made God for his (Man's) happiness (yes, it's not a typo). It's important and good to be happy, to learn to be happy.

good on you mate....i really liked the bit about how they said so much is wrong with the world...it's probably some kind of psychological play.....where people are tired of fighting the bad in the world and want someone else to save them...and then they tell you...jesus christ is your saviour....it's such a disservice to jesus christ....he probably wouldn't have done any of this....it's pretty fraudulent....they're frauds..

Taking it further I would add-
We are not tolerant, we mutually respect inter faiths
