I am surprised. In the past, he has been a very frank about the attitudes and actions of the Muslim community. However, in this interview, whenever asked if Islam needs reform, he is sidestepping the question by invoking Hinduism principles (as if speaking for all Hindus), and emphasizing that he can not speak for all Muslims (yet not clearly stating that in his personal opinion, Islam does need reform). The problem is political Islam. Political and social goals are so integrated in Islam that they have taken preeminence. Spiritual side should be kept separate from political instructions by prophets. Being a layman I can't argue with the views of Arif Sahab, but my common sense says he is right. And I agree with him. I 💯% agree with him. I wonder why our community doesn't accept his views. Dasa is also used in Vedic literature, in some contexts, to refer to "servants", a few translate this as "slaves" who were dark-complexioned, snub-nosed and worshipers of the phallus (śiśna deva). They had abundant cattle and lived in fortified settlements called puras. Although many hymns refer to conflicts between one Aryan tribe against another, there is an underlying sense of solidarity in conflict against the Dasas and Indra is called Purandara or "breaker of cities". Destruction of many cities by fire is mentioned as is a battle on the banks of Ravi at a place called Hariyūpiyā. such references like, "Through fear of thee the dark-coloured inhabitants fled, not waiting for battle, when, O Agni (fire) burning brightly for Puru (an Aryan tribe), and destroying the cities, thou didst shine." (VII, 5, 3) are common In Rigveda. It also states, "Strike down, O Maghavan (Indra), the host of sorceresses in the ruined city of Vailashthānaka, in the ruined city of Mahāvailastha (Great Vailastha)" (I, 133, 3). By the end of Mature Vedic period, there were great ruin-mounds which Aryans associated with the earlier inhabitants of the area. A later Vedic text Taittiriya Brahmana states, "The people to whom these ruined sites belonged, lacking posts, these many settlements, widely distributed, they, O Agni, having been expelled by thee, have emigrated to another land."
This is just Rigveda alone. There are stuff in Yajurveda too about people who can and cannot read vedas and gain knowledge. Like I said, violent versus that can be interpreted in many ways are found in almost all texts. It’s us, humans who should take it in a way humanity triumphs any of these versus.

The prohibition was in effect when there was the fear that (the words of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) might be mixed with the Qur’aan. I am surprised. In the past, he has been a very frank about the attitudes and actions of the Muslim community. However, in this interview, whenever asked if Islam needs reform, he is sidestepping the question by invoking Hinduism principles (as if speaking for all Hindus), and emphasizing that he can not speak for all Muslims (yet not clearly stating that in his personal opinion, Islam does need reform). The problem is political Islam. Political and social goals are so integrated in Islam that they have taken preeminence. Spiritual side should be kept separate from political instructions by prophets. Since any new prophets are prohibited in Islam those instructions tend to have more rigid character.
