What a positive video, my introduction to Jim Jefferies was when I stumbled across his infamous gun special in America, I was hooked on the spot, as an Australian I got him instantly, he really does have the gift of the gab.
Always liked his comedy, and now to discover he thinks Piers Morgan is a wanker ...... I think I'm in love with Jim Jefferies!

Morgan was so hated in England due to his tabloid exploits, his career was over. He went to the States & his career got rejuvenated; sadly. But everywhere figures the psychopath out eventually.

I fell in love with Jim when he performed on a cruise ship I was on down under. In my opinion, we don't get to see enough of him!

That routine gets bigger because someone got shot. What an awful position to be in. However, that routine is probably the best, most sensible argument for gun control that I have ever heard. It makes the pro-gun lobby look ridiculous. I was an unarmed Police Officer in the UK. I was polled about being armed and voted against it. Not because I dislike firearms. My father collected them when I was young and I used to go shooting with him at a local range. I had also been a reserve soldier on the shooting team, so quite familiar with them.
I went to Los Angeles because my wife was working there. I worked alongside Officers from Inglewood and South Central wearing my uniform. For some reason I was surprised the crimes that we attended were exactly the same as I attended in the UK. I don't know why I expected it to be different, but we handled them in the UK without firearms. You have to begin somewhere.

Goodday from an Aussie granny who loves your shows i was a kid of the 10 pound poms in the 60s grew up here in West Australia mainly i think your great cracks me up hun my oldest is 40 this year got teen grandkids brought up 5 on my own mainly country girl mostly in the Southwest love your stuff nice to see you happy and sober always worried you would fall off the stage lol😊

I'm sorry about him loosing his US TV show... I followed him for years...I'm a Vietnam Veteran (101st Airborne) who move down under after 9 years US Army...it's been 44 years now,
sadly it was better in those early years and the liberals did their best to tear down Golf Whitlam's great improvements and dragging WWII Australians kicking and screaming into then modern world.... think about it, what was bad about Whitlam and what did the Liberals do to make us better...after the floods and fires???

Sorry Jim, Ricky Gervais was saying 'cnut' on stage in the US, long before you appeared.
But Ricky Gervais isn't known for the c-bomb, is he? It's not what Jim was referring to, in any case. Ricky says it infrequently and Jim is almost expected to use it many times a show and it's just another word to most Australians, so it rolls of the togue a whole lot better.
@utha2665 Er.... its just another word to most English people, and in many varieties of accent it certainly rolls of our tongues better. You're right that Gervais isn't known just for uttering a normal word that Americans gasp at, he's known as a brilliant comedian. I wasn't disputing that at all. Jim Jeffries said he was the ONLY person allowed to say the word in American stand up - which he isn't.
Personally, being regarded a top comedian trumps being someone who says a word that dopey Americans are shocked by, but there you go. I always find it hilarious when Aussies have to try and make out they are the people that say the word the most and that it isn't thought of as bad ..... mate, that's been the case in England, Scotland Wales and Ireland for centuries... you mob have only been around 5 minutes lol.

Personally, I like both comedians for different reasons, although I don't like cringe humour that Ricky Gervais sometimes delves into. As for Jim Jeffries saying he's the only comic in America allowed to say the c-bomb, it is clearly being said in a facetious manner, in other words, he wasn't being literal. I thought that someone with such a commanding grasp on the language and its subtleties would have realised this.
As for Australia only being around for 5 minutes, this may be true. But let's put things into context, while we are a young nation, we haven't been conquered or invaded, we also haven't left countries on multiple continents in total ruin or screwed up so many cultures as England has. No country is perfect and if we want to compare histories then if we go back far enough, the human race nothing but a blink in time. Let's keep it relevant, huh?

If someone is boycotted when they haven’t done anything wrong, that is cancel culture. It’s a malicious boycott. If someone gets in trouble for spreading misinformation or for being linked to extremist groups or for assaulting their wife, that is not them being canceled. That is them paying the consequences for their own actions. I.e. If people stop buying Bud Light just because BL put a trans person on their beer cans, BL is being canceled. They haven’t actually done anything wrong or broken any rules. It’s just a boycott out of hate. If Donald Trump gets banned from social media for repeatedly breaking the rules of the terms and conditions he agreed to follow when he created his account and refusing to stop, he is NOT being canceled. He is simply paying the consequences for his own actions. See the difference? I swear the right is always talking about personal responsibility but as soon as one of their own breaks the rules of does something bad and gets in trouble for it, they’re not being held responsible. They’re being canceled. 🙄

He's a great comedian but also a pretty decent guy, saying reasonable things on stage with a dressing of pungent satire, the fact that yankees just laugh at his gun controls skits and then they go back to their gun fondling lives without the hint of a reflection or afterthought show you that, cognitively speaking, he's Gulliver in Lilliput.
