- Last week, I was kindly invited to attend a press event in which @MayorofLondon Sadiq Khan, and @TransportforLondon lead staff rode on the newest part of the Superloop bus network, the route SL10 from North Finchley to Harrow. Join me in this awesome event as I travel the entire route and get in conversation with attendees about the Superloop, this new route, how it will help with the air quality in London and how it will help the people of London.

When I was about your age, in the 1960s, we had a network of GreenLine buses, that went right across London, didn't stop anywhere, had their own green on white roundel bus-stops, were slightly more expensive and more comfortable than ordinary buses. I think they do still exist but there are far fewer routes than there used to be. I would imagine that the Superloop would be some sort of replacement for them. I can let you have a 1960s map of the GreenLine routes if you like. Philip Heselton
I remember the green line bus. Heathrow airport to Dartford if I remember correctly.
@@stevehornsby7727 We were on the 725 from Windsor to Gravesend and also the 718, which was a double-decker, from Windsor to Harlow New Town. I once went on it across London as far as Walthamstow and on the 725 to Bromley where it crossed the route of the 704 Green Line bus to Tunbridge Wells. It was an exciting journey!
@@amskaya I remember the bus to Windsor. There are Green Line buses still about not as many as there used to be. I liked the fact we had green and red buses to choose from
Also the 441 to Old Windsor. I have photos of some I took years ago
That would be one of the London Country buses, which were also green. I used to get a day rover on them for 6 shillings! @@stevehornsby7727

It is such a better opportunity as this is an express service. My favourite one is the SL2.

It's great to see new Superloop routes and buses coming in but sad to say goodbye to the routes that are being replaced.
I might be going to see the new SL1 route tomorrow, and the new Brent Cross Station opening.

Harrow weald bus garage to Paddington Green I sayed many time that route runs side 182 & 18 I know that be good service I love to see khan do it.

Geat video - I just subscribed and will have a look at more of your videos. I do hope SL is a success, and that they improve it as well - more bus priority, higher frequency, bigger and better publicity, and bigger bus shelters! It's really great that SL is so well integrated with the radial tube/rail routes it crosses; it should appear on the London tube & rail map, and the interchange points on the individual route maps on vehicles - and I think those interchanges should be emphasised on the SL maps too. It's like one more Overground circle, and gives a whole lot of extra journey possibilities.

SL7 is the best as it has Gemini 2 B9TL and B7TL

What about express bus service shepherd's bush garage & goldhawk station to Peckham runs side 94 & 12 i remember 12 use run to shepherd's bush station most people can go Westfield from south london to west london what do you think ?
Mount vernot hospital to hounslow bus garage I would meet in Southall SL8 runs 282 & 120 runs Monday to Friday only it might be good meet up SL9 in yeading & Northolt station you try it ?
It need superloop express link Sunbury to white city side of 237 & 235 . Also need Chessington world avengers to Ealing Broadway run side 71 & 65 . Also Wembley stadium to Brentford County Court run side 195 & 92 . Also new superloop express link Harrow weald to Paddington Green run side 182 & 18 . Also Peckham to white city run side 12 & 94 . Slough to Hammersmith runs 81 237 235 & 267 . Express links other route mayor of London can do it furture?
perhaps that's a topic you could raise with your local council? They could put such an idea forward to transport for London to consider.

Disappointed that they didn’t use the highest spec of buses seen on the 63,119,185 etc. Seats look like the ordinary seats seen in most normal buses. Plus where is the new ibus screen?
Ah yes, it is a bit of a shame, but the route still does use a very good model.

It would be nice have express service meet up Ealing hospital on Uxbridge Road running from Wembley stadium to Brentford County Court runs side 92 & 195 . 2nd express Edgware station to Ealing Broadway Station runs side 297 & 79 it can meet SL8 at Ealing Broadway Station i hope works one what do you think ?

2025 and in its previous X239, I don't see the '239' and connecting 'SL4' from Sydenham - Blackheath Shooters Hill Road, Sun-in-the-Sands via Westwood Hill, Newlands Park, Lennard Road, Kings Hall Road, Bridge Road, Copers Cope Road, Southend Road, Beckenham Hill Road, Bromley Road, Bellingham Road, Hazelbank Road, Verdant Lane, South Circular Road, Burnt Ash Hill, Lee Road, Royal Parade, Prince of Wales Road and Shooters Hill Road.

SL4 is not there
is coming 1st march 2024 with new electrics. sl1 and sl3 will also get new electrics this year to next year.
