Huge Damage: Flooding Causes Rockslide In Wellington - 2023

The Western Cape in South Africa has seen a phenomenal amount of rain during the past few weeks. This has caused multiple damns to open the flood gates and rivers overflowing. It also caused a massive rockslide down one of the mountains, which took out multiple roads and farm areas. Luckily no one was hurt from what we could gather.
Many towns are experiencing lots of damage which includes businesses, houses and farms. Lots of residents are sitting without electricity and even some towns that are completely cut off, because entrances/exits to these towns were swept away by the water.

This is a mountain, its supposed to evolve over time. I live right by this mountain and did not even notice this event.

That is what we've noticed, most people didn't even know about this. I would have loved to see this happening in person, but also not 🤣
