Dram #291 of 366 - yet another victim of the whisky market collapse in the mid 80s, Dallas Dhu still has a chance at being brought back from the dead. But is it worth resurrecting?
As an American, I am not sure how I feel about the recent election. I did not think we had very good choices and the nasty campaign seemed to go on forever (very glad THAT is finally over). I do hope for the best both at home and abroad. Always thought Dallas Dhu was an odd name for scotch (maybe Dallas, Texas was named after the Dallas in Scotland--I do not know*). Thanks for the info. *Wikipedia says, for what its worth, the origin is unknown, but that ONE theory of the name is: "Named after "Dallas", the modern version of the Scottish Gaelic word "Dalais" which means 'valley of water' "
Interesting review Ben. I've got a 1976 25 yo DALLAS DHU I've been sitting on for several years. I need to open it.
Yes you do!
Yeah - whisky-history - love it :)
