Air Arms seems to have deleted my comment on their Instagram post regarding their logo, so here it is.
As a professional logo designer I would be very interested to see the brief that the designer interpreted.
This new logo goes against so many proven, logical and widely accepted design rules that you now run the risk of losing decades of brand generated goodwill, loyalty and recognition.
Such dramatic rebranding is usually done in order to relaunch a failed business as an entirely new one in order to distance itself from its former iteration. In effect, starting from scratch.
As to why a font was chosen that so clearly represents that of Mark & Spencer I just don’t understand. The infection of cross-brand-identity via association is a big risk!
We now have a logo that reads: AIR ARM&S.
I bought a brand new Wiehrauch 97K from Cheshire Gun Room Stockport,(shout out) in the Blue laminate, blued steel action, 1.77 calibre. No iron sights fitted with this so bought a Hawke 3-9X50 scope to go with. Very proud to own it. I have seen a Diana, side lever with a red stock which looks unbelievable. Shame Wiehrauch don't offer similar in general sales as apposed to doing them in the 125th limited version. My next on the hit list is a red laminate TX200n if available in either calibre. When I can afford it id like a cost affective introduction to PCP with Kral NP02. Keep the vids coming lads, all the very best. Mikey P
Condolences mate. I lost my staffy 30yrs ago . He was only 2. Still 2 this day can't even look at a photo of him without tearing up
Yea it’s hard isn’t it mate. Makes it slightly easier having my other one at home but my god I miss his big daft head. He was a proper gentle giant
Sorry about your dog. I know how you feel. Its bloody hard. I lost my dog last Sat. He was a 3 year old staff. Got an infection and he couldnt be saved. The whole family is devastated. Stay strong and take care.

Losing your dog, is one of the hardest things to bare, my thoughts are with you.
The limited editions aren’t selling particularly well, but gimmicky now, the AA Kymira are sticking at a lot of RFDs and being discounted now.
Sorry to hear about your dog. When I lost mine it was the most upsetting thing I have experienced, took me 5 years to get another. Looking forward to the FX DRS coming in, hopefully pop over when it comes in to stock. Looking forward to the new range, you'll probably have snow up there on your opening day, can be a bit grim up there.

Totally agree about AirArms Logo. The new one looks cheap and ……. I don’t even have the words. The old one was so perfect and recognizable. I believe this is a huge marketing mistake. Glad my guns have the old logo on them.

Following on from my comment yesterday and an overwhelming feeling many people were expecting something new and exciting at this years shooting show, I forgot to mention about a new pcp air rifle from Diana.
I actually spoke to the gentleman called Marcus who was Head of sales at Diana air rifles. He was a really great guy to talk with.
Diana launched last year a pcp called the XR200. This 12ftlb air rifle shot pellets, but the barrel could be changed to one that shot slugs. The trigger could be checked without firing a shot off and the pressure gauge could be read virtually while you were looking down the sights. The pressure gauge could be moved to the other side if you shoot the wrong way round, lol.
It did look a fairly long rifle, but it looked an absolute belter. It was retailing in the region of £1000, which is around the going price I would say in this country for that standard of air rifle, a very good price for what you were getting I thought.
Looking back, in terms of what people were expecting this year, I thought it was a super air rifle with a good few new concepts that came with it.

Sorry to hear about your puppy we lost one at 4 years old and we were devastated. If you can get a replacement as soon as possible if you don’t think one dog can replace a lost friend buy two it worked for us! 😅

Its unbelievable. The fluted barrel is a big expense on the tune but i opted to have it shortened so thd hugget silencer wouldnt make the gun to long. The huget has a fluted pattern anyway so matches. As for performance - lock time is reduced, recoil is nearly non, accuracy is incredibly. Finish with the cerokote is top notch.
Great show lads. I had a try with one of the Raw rifles on the range at the BSS. Awesome rifles but not without their faults. Grip was way too small and the magazine could do with an update too. Not a fan of putting putting the first pellet in skirt first etc etc.

Id rather hold out and wait for the chronograph that screws on the barrel like a silencer

@@hotair4269 been here many times all jackrussells but she only made it 8.5 years...liver failure from tumour around the bile duct. All our others hit 14-17years. I keep saving the end of my breakfast for her only to realise she is no longer forever sat beside me looking up in hope.

It is amazing to see how deeply they wind themselves into our subconscious, only to realise when they are gone.

@@Guide504 yea I totally understand what you mean. Albi, my cane corso, was a gentle giant and a massive dope at times. He always came bounding to the door when I pulled onto the drive and barked as I came through the door. It’s so quiet now when I come home.

Re; the Nate Chrono, that's such an awesome idea to utilise a phone & the variable muzzle adapter has an advantage over Combro in that it will always be centre to the barrel - I'm unsure why shooters would use the threaded adapters as this in nearly every situation requires the removal of a moderator which in itself can effect the velocity of a pellet or slug.

A limited edition should have something special.some do patterns on the gun ...stock changes like stippling..diopter sights ..or weihrauch do a new rifle.

Thank you again for your show, and like so many, I'm so sorry to hear about your dog.
I went to the Shooting Show last weekend and came away with mixed thoughts. I think many people were hoping for something new and exciting from somewhere?
I just wonder how many times you can invent a wheel?? We have manufacturers now making pcp air rifles that can place pellet on pellet at forty yards. Budget brands up to high-end manufacturers. How much better can it get? There are high-end manufacturers launching limited editions for quite a lot more money, though if you take off their bling, they are no different.
People are not fools. That is evident in what has followed on, after a certain high end, a fantastic brand launched a take down rifle without arguably any thought going into it at all. I think it's more than obvious some people felt they were being taken for a ride, made to look like fools, and took action.
Personally, I think sub twelve foot pound air rifles are of great quality now. Their prices have increased, but so has everything else. I don't know how I could make air rifles any better or do something that hadn't been done before.
In recent times, we've had bullpups and laminated stocks. Further back, pcp's were introduced from springers.
I wonder if the manufacturers are facing undue pressure to produce air rifles at a price they can't or they're facing pressure for new ideas when everything has been thought of?
Overall, I enjoyed the shooting show, though I could sense this tension I have written about. I personally think we should be proud of our British brands that lead the world and produce beautiful, amazing air rifles.

😅Raw stand had no one look at thier rifles, the daystate stand was 4 deep on Saturday
A very different story indeed on the Sunday then mate. The RAW rifle on the shooting range was constantly being used and the stand had a steady flow of people.
Daystate was busy everyday to be fair :)

The Weihrauch’s I thought looked nice but they’ve only just finished a limited edition on the HW100s in grey stock with the nickel barrels or black and adjustable cheek rest these new ones seem to be more expensive no adjustable cheek piece and standard black barrel for the same or more money, seems like a backward step to me.
Suggest do some proper due diligence on precihole you may be surprised.Possibly you will not get english language videos but check grouping on videos achieved by Precihole.
That’s the idea bud. Get a demo model in the shop and do a proper review. Which is why we haven’t slated it like some other CZcamsrs have

I would say it may be useful to show rifles and pistols new and old. Rather than just discussions I would like to actually see the guns physically. Also your camera is quite far.
I will be watching again bur show us some gear please, similar to Andy on AAR on air. Take a leaf out of his book.

We do show new and old rifles :) if you look back through our catalogue of episodes you’ll see we have covered an expanse of ages throughout air rifling.
With regards the camera, I am in the process of purchasing a new one, we are relatively new to CZcams and as such we are still finding our feet, much like AAR probably was in his early episodes.

@@hotair4269 the older rifles and pistols such as Diana's, Webleys, Ripley, stealth, tell, hyscore, original, feinwerkbau pistols of the 70s, 80, 90s, older FWB rifles such as the 124, 123, rohm pistols, Air arms Alpha projects pistols, classic theoben rifles etc.
Just a few to name as you'll know there's lots and lots out there. Anything unusual would be great maybe something we haven't seen before or we've forgotten about would be good to see. Suprise us.

You completely misunderstood Robert. The chronos are a brand new product and as such the guy who’s designed them asked if we could put it out to this audience to gauge what people would be willing to pay so it can be marketed correctly. I don’t need to make any profit on this item or any other.
