I visited Grasse last October and it was truly magical. Lunch at La Mamma was some of the best food I’ve ever had. I visited Atelier Diana and brought home a lovely magazine illustration for 20€. The pink umbrellas were being removed but were still very cheerful. But taking a perfume making class at Fragonard was an unforgettable bucket-list experience. I came home with a new signature scent and it’s a wonderful travel memory. 💕
So cool! Thanks for “La Mamma” tip (Place aux Aires)! We didn’t even talk about making your own perfume in this video (as we published a proper video about it about a year ago, back at Galimard at the time) - but yeah, that’s definitely an experience to sign up for 👍🤩
Gotten tag. I loved Grasse. So beautiful and informative. Thank you for the video. I would surely go back. Train ride was nice and even the bus ride from Grasse to Nice was super cheap and great only 1 hour ride by bus.
Yes! 🤩 Bus and train are both easy from Nice or Cannes etc. Happy you enjoyed both the city and the video 😅😉
Merci Beaucoup
Avec grand plaisir 😄
Hello beautiful ladies! I was awaiting this video 😊. I reeeally wanted to see a bit more of Grasse,as I visited it very fast few years ago and went to Fragonard tour and then left in a hurry down to Nice. So I always wonder what is the vibe around there. Well,I think it's super charming. I like what I see. The charming streets and that more slower vibe unlike big towns like Nice,is very relaxing. Perhaps it's better that requires a bit of efforts and travel to reach there. It allows to keep more intimate atmosphere. Of course I can understand that winter months can be quite challenging for the local businesses sadly. Do you often wander around town and its streets, markets etc? I would love to visit Grasse properly next time. The views from top points are fantastic. And the suggested villages in the end,I bet they are incredible. A region that is worth visiting for sure. I am happy here, because some time ago I requested you to show a bit more about Grasse. Is it strictly intown living or there is like a villa area that belongs to Grasse? Thank you for the great episode 👍🌞👏
You’re very welcome! You summarised everything just perfectly, and as for your question about living: there are several neighbourhoods around the old town with houses and gardens, Grasse stretches pretty far into the countryside. It all depends on what you’re looking for (when you live in the countryside you’ll most likely need a car for everything).
Hello wonderful women 🙋♀️👏🏻🥳👋 ❤,I love grasse .My guys love Antibes too 😂😂😂We see you next time 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
So happy to hear! Not everyone loves Grasse (WE DO!)… but it’s truly unique and you can learn so much about perfume and enjoy a peaceful stroll through the Middle Ages 😉🤩
Yeahhhh we love grasse 😂😂😂!You and me and my animals too 🎉
Lovely regards,
🤩🙏
I enjoy watching your videos so much. I will visit the French Riviera someday. Every time I watch any of your videos I think of me being there. Thank you for sharing the beauty of the French Riviera 😎😎
Thank you very much! 😍🙏 We hope to see you some day!
We are going to Nice in about a month, and Grasse was already on my “must see” list. Thank you for giving us even more ideas for how to spend our day there! (We will miss the rose festival by just a few days. That’s okay, maybe it will be less crowded.) Merci beaucoup!
Cool! 👍 Maybe they still have some decorations up, definitely the pink umbrellas that do add something special to the city. Have a great trip!!!
We are moving to Grasse in September!
Welcome!!! 😄
Thank you. I don't know if you have children. If so to what school do they go to?
@@marionchanson5479 to the international school in Valbonne
Thank you for another delightful episode. One of your comments (in the replies) is that not everyone likes Grasse and I wonder how that can be possible. Are people so selective about hilltowns? Such as, "Take it away. You know I don't like Lafitte Rothschild."
I know… the thing is: it is objectively full of charme and has this incredible perfume heritage; on the other hand it’s a rather poor city compared to the coastal towns on the Riviera, with less well-off people living there, and in the old town you’ll come across streets (outside the touristy paths) with only men outside which can intimidate women - and I’m rambling because I don’t want to spread prejudice... We have always felt safe and really like the unique ambiance. But many locals tend to rather spend their time elsewhere.
Oh wow!! I am in Nice from 7th May, I must visit Grasse! It looks amazing! As always, thank you Ladies for sharing these beautiful places❤❤❤
Yes! Do! You’re very welcome 😍
Thank you for another amazing video. I will stay in Cannes this summer in order to be closer to Grasse. Thanks again for showing this beauty .
