  • Join Sean from TAB Performance as he dives into the key differences between our 4" and 4.5" B.A.M. Sticks slip-on exhausts for Harley-Davidson. In this comprehensive video, Sean explores the visual appeal, pricing, and most importantly, the sound distinction between these two options. m360.us/5de7
    Whether you prefer the sleek fit of the 4" on standard bags or the fuller look of the 4.5" with stretched bags, this video has you covered. Plus, with a detailed sound comparison, you'll hear firsthand how the larger can of the 4.5" B.A.M. Sticks provides a deeper tone by dampening higher frequencies more effectively. We even put these exhausts to the test on both stock and modified bikes to help you make the best choice for your ride.

Love them more. Question...a Harley tech told me the M8 loves back pressure. Do you think the open headers with the Zombies lost me too much back pressure? Should I put a different baffle in them? How much volume would I lose? I've used an autotuner since my stage I, so it's never been on a dyno. I have to go on faith that the provided map has it tuned optimally. I wish I had done things differently. I also saw a video on CZcams showing a device called Thunder Torque inserts. Do you think something like that might be beneficial?

    Hey man, whats the difference between the 4" red bike and 4" black bike? I love the sound of the black bike. Im looking forward to complete my order on the webpage, however after seeing this video, the 4" or 4.5" on the black bike is the sound im looking for. I have now a V&H dresser duals with monster square and im tired now of that sound,im looking for something more loud and deeper. Do ya' guys think that reusing my dresser duals with the bam sticks and zombie baffle would make this sound happen? I have FP3, screaming eagle cables and screaming eagle spark plugs

    • @TABPerformance
      @TABPerformance  Před 3 lety +3

      So the black bike is a 114 vs the 107 on the red bike, but the bigger difference is the black bike has our headers and a RS468 Cam Kit installed on it. The dresser duals wouldn't be an issue using but the true duals won't have the balanced performance of a 2-2 like our part number 123-2203. Your set-up will not sound like the black bike though without a cam upgrade, which we have those kits available on our site as well.

      @@TABPerformance I have already discussed this with somebody at tab performance. I saw one of the videos on your website that said torque cones would help lower that note a little bit. So I ended up buying torque cones. Now I'm being told that shouldn't have happened I should have just bought different baffles. I really do appreciate all the help as your guys service seems top-notch. I mean I posted online I was unhappy with the product and I've been contacted multiple times to help fix it. A+ ON CUSTOMER SERVICE. As far as the Mufflers I've spent $650 on the Mufflers spent $150 torque cones and now I'm being told I should have just bought new baffles and that's another hundred dollars. At this point I'm married to these things but if someone wants to swap or are willing to trade I think I'd be for it. I have a 2019 Street Glide Special and I ride it a lot. I've got about 27,000 miles on it and in the Northeast that's quite an accomplishment. I've heard many other pipes that sound awesome and I always ask people what setup they're running and unfortunately it's never a TAB performance muffler. I am not bitter about it but I really wish I would have researched more before I purchase the product. When it comes to slip-ons with no head pipe they are great because they get the most volume but the tone is just not there. To each his own. Not disrespecting the product as they are holding up way better than the S&S pipes that have already rusted and had to replace. My only opinion is if you want that nice, loud, deep rolling thunder sound of a touring machine I feel Imissed the mark.

    2019 Street Glide Special. I loved these when I first got them. I see other bikes that sound very healthy and never do they have tab performance on them. These have absolutely no tone. Since putting a head pipe it sounds loud but you still don't get the Rolling Thunder feel. Rhineharts I think sound way better. Then I just had to blow another $150 on torque cones hoping I can get the tone a little.🙄 deeper. To each his own I quess.

    • @TABPerformance
      @TABPerformance  Před 2 lety

      Definitely, everyone has their own taste. It seems like you they were a great fit for the bike and your tastes until you went with a header. That said, I wouldn't have recommended torque cones for that, we would recommend a baffle swap (which is less expensive and way less than a new set of mufflers) 2.5" louvered will be similar to other brands internals and you can go with or without fiberglass to pump up the rumble a little.

    • @Kashmirknight
      @Kashmirknight Před 2 lety

      @@TABPerformance well they were a great fit for the bike when it had the stock header. You could at least get some sound and make a difference. They never had that deep Rumble. That being said 650 for muffler, 150 for torque cones, now another 100 for different baffles. The moral of this story is dont buy without hearing them in person. Now I'm basically married to them.🤔 I will say quality seems top notch. Hopefully the cones will help.

    • @TABPerformance
      @TABPerformance  Před 2 lety

      I hear you, it does help if you can hear in person. Why are you spending 150 on the torque cones though? That is not going to help deepen rumble that I believe you are after. It will help finetune performance and add to low end that was lost during the header swap (from the open baffles) but the baffles would negate a need for the torque cones. You could purchase the baffles for 95 return the 150 torque cones and probably end up much closer to your goal.

    • @TABPerformance
      @TABPerformance  Před 2 lety

      It is impossible without being in person, but just trying to help keep your costs down. You definitely aren't wrong on your statements about cost, but if we can keep down the cost to just the baffles, then this would still be a better option than had you purchased other mufflers, end up un happy and have no option for baffle change and then you are out the 650 (or more for rinehart) plus another 650 for the next set of mufflers. We do try our best to help our customers keep the mufflers they originally purchased while they add to their bike without needing and whole new set.

      You can use Permatex copper that works very well on an exhaust joint. If the clamps were difficult to get on it could also be that they are stretched and may not be tightening down fully. 9 out of 10 times we install mufflers the clamps can be reused, but occasionally one that is over torqued or just to many times being thermal cycled they can need replacing.

      @lunchbox5072 Před 3 lety

      Sorry I should have specified a little better how do they hold up with the stock headers because I know the stock headers they get a lot warmer compared to aftermarket headers. I've had a set of black slip-ons that started the fade out after just two weeks of riding with stock headers.

    • @TABPerformance
      @TABPerformance  Před 3 lety +1

      They will hold up well. They will hold up every bit as good as the stock mufflers do. The coatings are pretty much identical and we have never had any issue with that. We do recommend a tune though to stay out of a lean running condition to keep the bike cooler even if it is just the SE Pro Street
