      The stock pipes on an M8 sound better than stock on a TC. I go back and forth. I have SE Street Cannons I run for a year or so, then go back to stock, and so forth. The FP3 allows me to do this. My 2012 FLHTK ran super lean from the factory, and finally got tired of the heat and the pinging, and the FP3 solved this issue. I think I will get rid of that fn cat though, by either head pipes, or having it cut out.

    i have a question about the header pipes. If I am correct, they are 1 3/4 OD, same as stock headers. I had the cat removed professionally, which gave me 14 more h p with stage 3 Harley slash downs. Bikes with this set up were dyno'd so the hp is real. I could feel the difference. That is my question, WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE?" I installed a Screaming Eagle Stage One induction on my 2010 Ultra Elect Glide, 96 c i. and it really rocks. I HAVE NO TUNER NO BACK FIRING. Instead of spending thousands I spent 159 from Harley for the stage one induction, 123 for the other work. I LIKE V H PRODUCTS AND THEY RUN A MEAN DRAG HARLEY. Cost=5.00 and an hour changing those damn cheap grinding discs but the cost difference why not try it before spending 400.00 on slip-ons? Personal opinion the stock exhaust with no baffles and yet still keep the catalytic converter for backflow sounded better. • @brettfischer7782
      @brettfischer7782 Před 5 lety

      It's stickier than that. Technically, yes. However, all dealerships do it. Usually they'll tell you, "if you have the work done here, your bike will be safe here.". The trouble comes in when you travel. If something breaks and it's because of the work done with aftermarket parts, you could be in trouble. A different dealership might flag your VIN with Harley and void your 2 year warranty. However, like I said all dealerships do it so there's a good chance they won't tell on somebody else's customer because... Well, plain and simple, it's bad business.
      On a side note, my dealership explained that extended warranties can sometimes help with these if the updates are some when you purchase the bike.
