This should fit in well with Erin's video about the cost of home audio getting out of hand. You losing your system just saved others thousands, as I'm sure plenty hang on your advice. For example, i was thinking about KEF and then heard you say you don't like KEF. Then i was less interested in KEF. Sad but true.
I do agree that the costs are getting out of hand. Everything is also getting to be super big. I also never thought about it that way. I guess losing my system did save others thousands of dollars.
New budget surround system , now this is a topic I am interested in.

Glad you like them as much as I do. I just remeasured the Encore B6 bookshelf last night in the middle of measuring a bunch of Arendal 1723 speakers and I was still impressed with how they measured.

Two of the historically Best speakers were accidents. Two famous brands independently decided to create a cheaper box store models. The result was amazing sound, due to the Cheaper materials such as particle board and fiber board. Because of the density and additional bracing, simple crossovers, an amazing accident happened. I personally have listened and compared, so not a myth

I run Jamo s809 towers with c93 center, I am happy with them. Placement is everything and having your fronts matching next to your tv stand.
Channa… did you ever had a chance to listen to the Starke Sound Brev Series? They have a pretty good deal on their tower speaker.

The Focals can be found for 500€ a pair in Europe, what makes them expensive in the USA is transportation and import taxes (same thing around for American speakers). Just putting things back in perspective, everything is relative. Just saying that in Europe the Focals are not an expensive or high-end speaker.

Great pick up especially in your situation. Never understood why the hype on Focal speakers. Honestly they are mostly too picky and most models are too thin for my taste. You should look into the monolith amps as well. They are a great bang for the buck.

I heard those Arendal speakers, the towers at least at Joe's house. Out of the box, they had no bass, it was quite disappointing for such a large speaker. Once calibrated properly, they do very well. These T6's had bass from jump. They are great speakers for sure and the price I got them at was a steal!

Does the spatial audio tool kit work with yamaha aventage receivers?
Yes, it works with all AVRs. You will have to do some work to, it’s just a toolkit. You will have to manually calibrate the Yamaha. Our Discord community has plenty of users in there that will help you along the way and there is a guide on how to calibrate using our toolkit.

Would you recommend them for surround backs too?
I think it's over kill but then again that's what I am using them for. For me it was cheaper and the speaker stands took up more space so a tower took up less area but in terms of just sound capabilities it's over kill and even Home Theater people are going to think I'm crazy.
Depends on the price, but they are quite large. Maybe the smaller T5?
